The fifth book is the prequel to the series and follows the future Duke of Westbrook and future wife, and shows how love is a powerful motivator for change.

A Rogue for a Lady - The story of Amelia, the eldest daughter, as she navigates her way through the London marriage mart and finds that the man she wants has secrets he is too ashamed to tell. Can Harry reform in time to save her from a disastrous marriage or worse?

In the Arms of an Earl - Jacintha Seaworth is wise, complex and watchful. A beautiful woman, she nevertheless prefers to sit out from the dances, preferring to watch people and their interactions. She really couldn’t have chosen a childhood friend more different from her than Henry Musgrave, brother to family friend Claudia, and quite a social ladies’ man.
Now that Jacintha is the next daughter in line to fulfill her father’s wishes of seeing all of his daughters married before his illness takes him, it’s time for her to grow up and actually evaluate her feelings for Henry.

Arms of an Earl - The youngest daughter, Harmonia, is sweet and sensible. She thought she would take care of her father as he grew old but he insists she must marry as well! Perhaps she will marry her distant cousin, Luke? When she meets blue-eye Phillip, a newly-instated earl, she falls for him quickly. But is Phillip a gentleman or a rake? What about her father's wish for her to marry Luke? Harmonia can't avoid a tricky path to a love-filled future, just like her sisters! The

Reluctant Marquess
- Marquess Hugh Seaworth is far too busy enjoying himself in London to think about matrimony. The future duke is quite put out by his father's request to sponsor the daughter of an old friend, Miss Molly Newton, for a London season and help her find a husband. The more he becomes involved with Miss Newton, the more he discovers that it is not only his mind that is caught up with her – it is his heart. Miss Newton, however, shows no inclination towards him and, when one of her suitors proposes, Hugh finds himself caught between his duty and his heart. Which one will win out in the end?

Review

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful set of books. I enjoyed every minute of reading. Rose Pearson is one of my favorite authors. She takes you to every emotion you have and you enjoy the trip. It's a must read for any and all of Rose Pearson's books. Amazing author.Thank you for spending so many happy hours with me.

This is a great series of books. Each book is unique and intriguing! The Duke wanted his daughers married and taken care of in case something happened to him. None of them were particularly interested in getting married, especially not to the men they had already met. But, one never knows who they might meet unexpectedly.

A beautiful bookset with sweet stories, strong characters and adventures.
These stories are well developed and kept you reading until the end.
I recommend this book set to all that love Regency.
I have read most of the books in this box set and have enjoyed them all, The stories follow five sisters and their tales of finding love. Every book is totally entertaining and a fast, fun read. I am buying this box set too so I can catch up on the couple of books I missed. Highly recommended!

Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother (Mom didn't like the sexy book covers!)

She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her. She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.

On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!

At the time of my review, I had only read the last book in this series, The Reluctant Marquess, as an ARC in exchange for a review of that one book. This one is a story about the parents of the daughters in the first four books in the series, but it is completely a standalone story you do not need to have read the previous ones for. All of Rose Pearson’s books so far have been standalones, even in a series, so you never have to worry about getting to the end and finding some huge cliffhanger, and they all have happily ever after endings that leave you feeling so good inside. Her books are good for a rainy or gloomy day when you need something to cheer you up, and they’re the types you will want to read again and again. I tend to read the endings over and over a few times because they just catch you up so much and leave you thinking about them for days.

Regarding The Reluctant Marquess, I tore through this book much faster than I expected, but I was quickly drawn into the story and had to find out what would happen between our hero and heroine. Seaworth has grown accustomed to living a carefree life, enjoying all the pleasures possible, before entering into Dukedom once his father passes on. But after a brief illness, his father forces him to a task of taking a deceased friend’s daughter, Molly, back with him to London so that he may help her find her future husband during the Season, much to his chagrin as that will take away from the fun he had planned for himself. I had so much fun with this book. Seaworth’s eyes are opened wide to life thanks to Molly, and seeing the way their relationship developed was such a delight. The book left me with such a warm feeling, which, again, is the way all of Rose Pearson’s books tend to do.

This set is well worth the money, and I have grabbed it up so I can finish reading the series.

reading one after another because I wanted more of the continuing story. There is no explicit sex which was a relief. if ou've read the sex in these types of books you could cut and paste as I think the authors have done. These were sweet romance stories.

I enjoy books that are series of family members. This one was very enjoyable. I liked the prequel of the father and mother.

Rose Pearson is known for her ability to write so you can see the action, but she has bested herself with the Duke’s Daughters Box Set. The Duke of Seaworth and his daughters, Amelia, Jessica, Jacyntha, and Honoraria, are true gems, each in their own right. Combined in one set, they are exceptional! Read this set if you even remotely like Regency romances because it will make you a complete fan!

All of the stories were so sweet. And clean. I really appreciate that. The bit of mystery included was nice. Although the last story did not include a villain, I feel it was my favorite.

While I always appreciate a good, clean romance, these stories were predictable. Many editing errors were a distraction. I did read the box set series all in a row, so that may have contributed to the lackluster feel of the novels for me.

This collection contains the stories of a duke and his four daughters all seeking love and marriage. The stories are typical of the genre. In the first four books, girl meets boy, girl falls for boy but is uncertain how to proceed, another boy wants girl and misunderstanding ensue. In the last book, boy meets girl, boy has to leave behind his usual behavior to introduce her to society, each falls in love with the other, there is a lot of hand wringing and confusion, boy and girl acknowledge their love.
    Quick, easy reads.

Enjoyed the stories, the journey of a family of young ladies attending their season in London, intent on finding their future. And knowing they preferred love over practicality. What wonderful stories.

This is a box set well worth reading. I have read them all individually, and it is great to see this collection come together. If you haven’t read this series before, this is the way to go, as you don’t have to wait for the next story. Each book has facets of intrigue, danger, betrayal, hope and romance interspersed with witty conversations and great descriptions of the Regency era. Rose has a wonderful way with words and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

I'm half- way through the first story and already I'm thinking that there must be a better way of wasting time! I loathe books where authors go on at length about tacking up torn ruffles at a ball. I can see exactly where this book is going and I'm not bothered about finding out if I'm right
