    I could not wait for Carson and Allie’s forever and the conclusion to this second chance, enemies-to-lovers, romance duet exceeded my expectations. Carson and Allie will find their way. He’ll have to earn her forgiveness and her trust. She’ll have to show him that pushing her away is no longer an option. Body and soul, their love consumes. These two are straight up fire!

    I just loved Carson. A bit broken and beaten down with family issues, this boy lashes out. Destructive behavior is his m.o. until Allie becomes his solace. The only problem is, while he was figuring out his feelings, his epic screw up finally pushed her away.

    Allie knows he’s a temptation she can’t resist. He broke her heart not once, but twice. Too bad she’s a fool for him anyway, but he doesn’t need to know that. She’s not ready to just forgive him. For the first time in his life, Carson will have to earn her forgiveness and she won’t make it easy.

    Swoon, heartache, intense passion will force you to read is one sitting. I loved this couple as well as their evolution. Carson finally makes his peace with his pain and lets love in. It’s a beautiful transformation. When that boy finally allowed himself to fall, he fell hard.

    So many poignant moments and heated exchanges that added both depth and passion to their love story. I absolutely enjoyed every minute.

    So, I had to take one star off because I’ve been feeling like this particular book in the series was rushed.
    The first book’s ending felt a little premature and the backstory of their previous relationship was never elaborated on.
    Carson even makes a comment in the first book about how only Allie and Lucas know the truth about his past, and I expected to hear that he was the guy she was on a date with, but nothing.
    Also, how long ago was this? These characters are in the last year of high school, how old were they when doing that and when they fell out? How long have Beck, Olly, & Carson been best friends then that anything happened with Lucas.
    I also felt like this meant we didn’t get the full emotional impact of the story with Carson’s mother.

    AND if you keep including scenes of unprotected sex-I expect it to be addressed. Did she freak out and take plan B? A pregnancy test? Start birth control?
    We all know these books are predominantly written and read by women-that scenario generally causes concern if not outright panic-so wtf happened?

    Tangentially, the fact that “The End” is written directly before the Epilogue (both times now), really bothers me.

    Otherwise, the story is very cute and I’m looking forward to the next set.

    This book was chalk full of every emotion you can imagine. I ugly cried, I got mad, I swooned so hard, you name it, I felt it! The conclusion to Carson and Allie’s romance was everything I hoped for and more.

    This story picked up right where ‘The Taste of an Enemy’ left off and it was full steam ahead from page one until the very end. Carson has a lot of making up and groveling to do, and Allie doesn’t make it easy on him. Their push and pull was everything I needed and their chemistry… white freaking hot.

    I really loved that we got to see an even more vulnerable side of Carson in this story. And on the flip side of that, an even stronger side of Allie. The angst in this one… ugh there are no words to describe how much I loved it! Now, let’s bring on Olly and Frankie!!

    This book was such a disappointment. I had such high hopes for it; I started with 5 stars because of how much I liked the previous book. This is the second and final book about Carson and Allie, childhood friends turned enemies. After the first book I was expecting them to really get to know each other again, to talk about everything and to reach a “healthy” relationship (considering they were the best of friends at some point it should have been easier). However, that never happens, instead this book is about them f*ing away the "hate". It was the same thing over and over again, s*e, thinking about s*x and not speaking to each other. I don’t know how people usually rate spice, but, in this book it was so frequent that I lost all interest for it. Also, there were the same lines over and over again. At some point I was so bored I wanted to just drop it. I consider Allie weak; it was enough for Carson to breath towards her and she would just melt. I never liked when everything is so hyperbolized in books “he was so hot I couldn’t stay away”. I looove that they are all Greek gods and goddesses, but it shouldn’t count as much. I know it’s a book about teenagers, and it should be fun and carefree, but, I just wanted some more substance.

    Holly has a way of making you fall in love with her characters, they have their flaws , Carsons are bigger than most but she manages to make you see past them and then you cant help but fall in love with the broken boy and the heartsick girl !!

    I have loved Carson and Allie’s story so much. The cliffhanger ending of the last book made this one one of my most anticipated this year. So much happens to and between them and it’s fab to see the journey that Holly Renee takes you on.

    Each character is built up and explored in a way that is sensitive and gripping in places. The storyline evolves and comes to a natural conclusion. Nothing is forced. I couldn’t put it down and stayed awake all night to finish it.
