Demanding Discipline (Love and Care Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 481 ratings

Sean uses his sassy mouth and bratty behavior to distance himself from others. He’s afraid to care too deeply for anyone or anything. But the walls he’s built have turned his life into a hot mess. He can’t settle on a career, he’s rarely on time, and his only real friend is his roommate. No matter how many times he resolves to change, he falls right back into his old patterns. Then he meets Blake, a man who’s not afraid to use a firm hand with Sean.

Blake is a former Navy SEAL who has men falling at his feet. But he doesn’t want just any man, he wants Sean. And he longs to teach Sean the discipline he so desperately needs. As he trains Sean through pony play and other games, Blake learns more about Sean’s insecurities and realizes Sean needs more than a master, he needs a caring lover—maybe even a Daddy.

Demanding Discipline is third book in the Love and Care series. The series begins with Father of the Groom

Silvia Violet writes bad boy M/M romance. She can be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like "Do you write children's books?" She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she's actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinfully delicious treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading to her incorrigible offspring.

Love and Care Book 3. I'm loving this sexy series by Silvia Violet. The previous book had Sean deciding to talk to Blake, so we get to see that conversation and what will be worked out. Sassy Sean is adrift, always hopping from jobs and men, because he's insecure and indecisive, and we soon find out why. Navy SEAL Blake knows what he wants to find, but it's eluded him, until he sees hope in a relationship with mixed up Sean. It is a tough start with these men, but small steps lead to bigger ones. Sean grows from being a "brat" to finding his center and true love. Long talks, time spent together, our guys get better and hotter as they go forward.
We get BDSM, Dom/sub, Daddy/boy, gritty sex and needs met, with spankings, a crop, plus bridle/tail Pony play. We see edging and tender aftercare, as well as heartfelt moments. It's a tough romance, but fulfilling, with fantastic characters overcoming obstacles, and the recurring folks are a treat. Next up are Leo and Wren.
Sexy play and true feelings. ENJOY !

Another great book in this series and you really do want to read it as a series. This book features Sean and Blake, who we’ve met in the previous books. Sean is a delightful mess. As Avery points out to him, Sean can take care of his basics responsibilities, but he really needs someone to take him in hand and provide some guidance and structure. He bounces through so much (including guys). Sylvia Violet paints a wonderful character portrait showing us Sean’s struggle to figure out who he is, what he needs, and accepting that. Blake, a patient former SEAL, is just what he needs even if he doesn’t know it. I enjoyed seeing them figure things out and we get some rich characters, satisfying details about their lives and budding relationship, but the framing around the pony play just seemed a bit contrived. I’ve enjoyed stories with that kink before, but it didn’t quite work for me for these two. It was great to catch up a bit on Avery and Graham and get another glimpse of Leo.

This series is extremely hot!! Demanding Discipline is Sean and Blake’s story. Sean is a man who fears loosing control but his whole life is in shambles. He loses focus and can’t commit to anything. He is very much afraid of giving up what little control he has over his life. Blake is the man who is determined to give Sean the control he is looking for through discipline. He wants to be Sean’s Dom and Daddy. I really enjoyed the mixture of pony play and Daddy/Boy. This was an amazing book! It can be read as a stand-alone but do yourself a favor and read Avery and Graham’s books too!

I chose this book on a whim because the blurb seemed interesting and caught my attention. However, I found it to be a bit disappointing. I often felt lost reading and at times had to go back a few pages to figure out that I didn't really miss anything-it just moved very oddly. I really found myself struggling to read this story at times and was sadly disappointed at the story line. The characters were so quickly developed and disconnected that I had a difficult time enjoying the bond develpement between the characters. I think that maybe if I had read the first two books, maybe I would have had a better understanding of the opening chapter. However, I feel it wouldn't have helped. The saving grace were that the scenes fairly intense and fun to read, especially since I didn't know about Pony Play-yes I kinda had to Google information. Give the option to read it again, I probably would not.

I liked both Blake and Sean, and their scenes together were very hot. I didn't feel like I connected with them as well as I did with Avery and Graham though. The transition from Sean avoiding having a relationship with Blake to seeking it out felt a bit muddy to me and didn't ever quite feel natural.

To think I almost missed book 3, I've read 1 and 2, then I found 3 and 4, I'll start on 4 as soon as I finish this review. It was everything I knew it would be while reading the first chapter! Definitely a must read, this Author writes nothing but the best books. This series was absolutely wonderful, Beautiful love stories, I could say more but read it yourselves, I would not steer you wrong. Many thanks, Honey Bee 🐝📚💙🎶

Oh my. Still was so sweet the way Blake got Sean to realize what he needed and how to love. This was a great series. I even read them out of order since I had to read book 4 before this one. But it's best to read the first two books before moving on cause they are the set up for the other two.

I am loving this series so far. Blake & Sean’s story is another sweet & sexy installment to this May/December series. Really hoping that Leo gets his HEA next.

I was awaiting this book to come out. I normally don't do the discipline books. But for some reason this book sounded good from the blurb. So I read it and I found I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't massively heavy in the bdsm which was good. I think you will find this quite a pleasant book and suprise for something a little different but jot not to overwhelming.
I definitely recommend this book very much.

    Demanding discipline
HOLY HELL I think my kindle just melted!
I wanted to slap Sean for his brattiness but also hug and love him for all his insecurities. He's watched his best friend and roommate Avery find love with Graham and he so wants this himself. Can a super sexy hot ex seal named Blake who Sean acted a scene with at Thrust be the one to break down those massive walls around Sean's heart? And will Blake want just submissive Sean or the real Sean?
Not only do we get Sean & Blake in this book, we catch up with Avery & Graham, Felicity, Leo and Wren. Now Leo & Wren that's the book I want to read next please Silvia Violet!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read
Reviewed in Australia on December 28, 2018
I enjoyed meeting Sean in the first 2 books in this series, and love that he got his own book. With the timeline overlapping Avery's books, this filled in some of the blanks for Sean. His connection with Blake was instant and mutual, but his fears held him back. I loved watching him open up and begin to accept what they had together, and what Blake could really give him. I can't say I understand their link (pony play) but it was well written and I feel a little more enlightened having read it - the alternating POV helped give an understanding from both their perspectives.

This is a quick read, and I feel that does let the book down a little. More depth or even time to grow their connection and fill in more of both their pasts rather than it being a quick conversation could have been provided if the book was longer. Still a good read but just missing that little bit of extra depth to push it to a 5 star read.
