As book 2 in The Warriors of Elysius Book Series, it is a hearty continuation. I enjoyed the perspective of this story how Tarian was hit hard with the attraction and Bree handling the instant attraction. This is a hot, steamy read that has a good mix of adventure, spicy time and the development of characters. This is a good recommended read.

This book was exciting, stressful and full of surprises. Every person I thought was untrustworthy turned out to be wrong. I loved the tense relationship between the two main characters. Their relationship was full of intense sexual attraction and snarky conversations. I loved how Bree stood her ground and how much Taryn loved her. I am really looking forward to Rey and Dwyrr’s book!

The first book in this series was a really good read. I couldn't wait to read this one, the second in the series. I hoped this would be as good as the first and it definitely didn't disappoint! I'm on to the next one...!!!

Some of the language was confusing. miss used words, like seem, was either auto-corrected in error, or just used wrong. The actual story lines were very compelling. I really liked the restraint the hero had dealing with his mate. She did confuse herself with her conflicting attitude and emotional angst.

This second book is the brother Tarian’s story. Tarian was introduced in the first book, Devil in Exile. Tarian helped his brother Kyllell and mate Ada in the first book.
Tarian is working with his brother to keep him safe from the Chassak enemies. He is providing security to the scientists and doctors working on the mate program. Elysium race lost all their female population due to a virus from the Chassak race. However Kyllell mated with a human. Now they are negotiating with Earth for possible mates. Tarian is surprised when his horns turns black and stands up in the presence of the aloof genetic doctor Bree.
Bree is a brilliant geneticist. She is to find the results of alien and human DNA mixed together. Is it possible? She meets an Elysium warrior that will not leave her alone. She just wants to solve the impact of the mixed DNA. But Tarian is becoming harder and harder to ignore.
Good story with a strong and opinionated woman. Her mated is an alpha male but is still willing to win his mate. The story has mates, humor, drama, intrigue, enemies, danger, patience, love, understanding and HEA.

This was a good read! I liked Bree a lot. I sometimes find it difficult to like a female main character throughout an entire book but she is a well rounded character.

The only gripe I had was with her constant need to include her two bffs in her life beyond the present. Like, their "coming with her" wherever she goes was a requirement of hers. What about what they would want? Does that make sense? I don't know, that's just something I was seeing frequently in the story that started to grate on me. Other than that, it was a great read!.

The author is a very good writer. You can put yourself in this alien storyline. The lead female character was strong and admirable. So why only 2 stars. It’s the storyline itself. Males who use a “pull” to forcibly attract females…they have a history of being man whores while looking for fated mates. Seems a little too much like ruffies and rape. The writer makes it seem like they are just mischievous boys that need to get laid and in fact, the human mate of the Elysian planet’s leader tells them to go to earth and get laid…So all kinds of genetic research to find who the human mates could be. Lip service is paid to the voluntary nature of human females…but it just feels like lip service. In the end, like the two leads in this story, the male lead takes the lead geneticist even though she didn’t sign up for the program. So as I said, the writer is good. I just didn’t like the “forced” nature of the fated mate process. And the character of men, aliens or not, who use some biological “pull” to get women to have sex with them is a sad, sad world. As least for women…so I won’t be reading any more by this author.

My oh my, who would have thought that I would be drawn into an alien romance series.

    I’m in. Hook. Line. Sinker.

Angelina Avery is a mistress at creating good characters, good storyline and good hot and steamy connections (if you know what I mean).

I’ll be following the author closely!

    Highly recommend!
