USA Today Bestselling Author KD Robichaux wanted to be a romance novelist since the first time she picked up her mom's Sandra Brown books at the ripe old age of twelve. She went to college to become a writer, but then married her very own alpha and had babies. Oh lawd. KD robichaux this might be the best of the club Alias series so far. Doc and Astrid uhh this whole book was so good. I couldn’t stop reading it.. really the whole series is amazing but Doc is by far my favorite book of them all. Out of all the Alpha men at club Alias Doc is by far my favorite!! I love the the build up and how Doc was patient,waited and helped Astrid get through her inner demons. Seeing Doc and even Astrid get there HEA❤️ made my heart more than happy. You should definitely read the club Alias series!! I get more and more impressed with KD Robichaux’s writing every book of hers I read!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    I was so excited for this book, the anticipation almost killed me! I thought there was no way that the story was going to be able to live up to the the hype and the build up, but the author blew this story totally out of the water! It is full of emotions, and support, and love and beauty! It's an amazing story, focusing on healing, and moving on after horrific events. But there is also enough danger, intrigue and mystery to keep even the toughest critic glued to the story!

    Astrid is a damaged woman. She has had a hard life, dangerous and violent. She is just beginning to find out who she is again, and who she wants to be. But with a strong support system, and a man that just won't let her quit, she is getting stronger every day, moving a little further down a healing path that leads to a future that is bright with promises.

    Doc is my favorite character of the series, just because he seems so mysterious! He has his own tragic past, one he holds close to his heart, one that has shaped him into the man he is today. But he also has a future, one that he has to be careful with, but one that promises to be amazing!

    I can't say enough how amazing Doc & Astrid's story was. The entire series has been wonderful, but I really think this one was my favorite, because it shows how healing this lifestyle can be, in the right circumstances, and how even horrific circumstances can't change who you are inside. I loved how supportive Doc was, and how brave Astrid was. It was definitely a beautiful story, one that is brimming with hope for the future. Definitely worth the wait!

    After dark events of family and friends bring them together, Astrid Quill- Makeup Artist, ends up roommates with therapist- Dr. Neil Walker, M.D., M.F.T., Ph. D. and founder of Imperium Security, as he promises to heal and protect her. My heart ached, as these two broken souls struggle between denial of love and falling in love to heal and protect one another. Then, just when you think they found a way to make it work, danger rears its ugly head. And, they have no choice, but, to trust each other. No spoilers here, but, you’re gonna want to read what happens.

    The characters are beautifully written and drag you into their world! Alternating between both main characters perspective, you get a clear path into their thoughts and emotions. Also, the author delightfully brings in a bit of her own personality through style and slang. Hot sex, romance, great comic relief, strong fear and angst make this, one wild roller coaster. It’s got it all! You’ll find yourself both cursing and cheering, throughout. (I fully confess to crying and laughing out loud.) And, I binged this one, like there was no tomorrow!

    As the fourth book in the Club Alias series, you can read it as a stand alone. But, it’s the icing on the cake to revisit the old friends from prior books. So, if you haven’t read the others, and like this one, I absolutely suggest you pick them up, too.

    So I've read every book by Kayla, I started with the blogger diaries and was hooked. I've loved her club alias books because who doesn't love a strong sexy alpha dom?? I always had the feeling from the first moment i read about Doc that i just loved him and couldn't wait to hear his story. I was one of the readers that was like gimme loll but I didn't realize just how much i was going to fall in love with him.

    Doc and his goddess are just perfect, after everything Astrid went through and all her traumas he was the perfect one for her. His quiet unbreakable strength and love are exactly what she needed. Going through being a victim of abuse and rape takes so much from you and finding someone who will help you fight your way back to who you are is an incredible feeling. I related to Astrid so much being a survivor that i don't believe Kayla could have written her better. I love how strong she got and how she made her come back fighting without losing that sweetness she has.

    I absolutely fell in love with these people and this Is my favorite book by her, I wish I was friends with them!! I think the way she had them go about exploring and healing together was absolutely perfect and realistic. Thank you Kayla for really showing how you can survive, thrive and love again after some really horrific things because you can. It takes work, patience and some hard honesty with forgiveness towards one self but you did it babe! Amazing job, just thank you.

    Sweet Doc, who not only is a renowned therapist, but also a dreamy, alpha Dom. He’s been helping bring feisty, adorkable Astrid back to life after escaping trauma she suffered at the hands of her vicious ex. Finally Astrid begins to come out of her shell and Doc is able to show her just how he feels about her. But the drama and action doesn’t end there...

    Everyone should have their own Doc! He’s one dreamy book boyfriend! And you can’t help but love Astrid! She refuses to stay down and fights to get her life back with the help of Doc and her family. I love these two and can’t wait to read the books for the rest of the Club Alias gang. EXCELLENT READ!!

    This is BD$M done right. The story of how, when combined with the right therapy, it can be a pathway to healing.

    The writing of this story was marvelous. Ms Robichaux writes trauma in such a devastatingly understated way that it hits you twice as hard when you realise what is actually happening. The intimacy was just top notch - as you would expect when one character is a $ex therapist/part-owner of a BD$M club. The characters were wonderful to read. Everything felt appropriate - there were no caricatures.

    This book is part of a series that I am clearly reading in the wrong order. I started with book 6 and now I’ve read book 4. The two five-star reviews should tell you it can be quite easily read as a standalone - but if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to go back and read where it all starts.

    Which is exactly what I’m about to do now.

    I have been excited to read this final chapter in the alias series since I finished Knight and I was not disappointed.
    New to BDSM as a genre I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and the beautiful blending of action and emotion. She gives us such a blend of what a man should be, tough and protective and yet careful of his woman and her emotions.
    You will thoroughly enjoy DOC and Astrid’s story and how they heal each other while falling in love.
    If you haven’t read the series it won’t matter, but really, do yourself a favour and read them anyway
