Hi, thanks for stopping by my author page.

I write emotionally charged mystery books about ordinary people dealing with everyday situations until something goes badly wrong. (There is usually a dead body in there somewhere).

My first series - the Sophie Brown Mystery Series is dark and gritty. The second series - the Dotty Drinkwater Mystery series is cozy, full of zany lighthearted escapades.

Dottie visits Kylie at the house of Steve and Sasha. They are employed by them. Kylie is babysitting Watson Steve and Sasha’s son. While Dottie and Kylie are watching TV Watson is in bed a sleep. Dottie runs out to the store while she is gone Kylie’s mom comes over and when she is leaving Kylie is busy her mom kidnaps Watson. The girls gets him back. Steve and Sasha come home and Sasha and Watson go for a walk with Dottie’s dog the dog returns to the house but they find out Sasha and Watson has been kidnapped. This was on a authors’ site to give books out for reviews. It was an amazing mystery that kept up the suspense until the end. Dottie and Kylie work for one of a couples’ beauty salon. They are sweet, but not the best of employees. Kylie gets left to watch the bosses son and he keeps disappearing. After the parents return, mom and son take Dottie’s dog for a walk that the dog, but not the people return from. The story gets way beyond a normal mystery from there. The girls don’t quit messing until the end and the police have their issues, too.
It is as mixed up as one of Stefanie Plums jobs.

The story is of kidnapping and murder. The clues are few so there is much speculation. Who did it becomes as important as the why.

Dottie and friends are at it again - this time embroiled in solving a kidnapping, with all sorts of hijinks and mishaps. The characters are a joy to read about and, in this fifth book of the series, really feel like old friends. The story is well written. I recommend this to anyone looking for a fun fast read of a mystery. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Dotty never felt comfortable around her boss Steven so when his wife and son are kidnapped she has her doubts. Was Steven involved or was this an organized crime? Follow her and Kylie as they try to solve the case and avoid Dave, her policeman friend. Sometimes things just aren’t what they seem and a murder removes one of the prime suspects. A real page turner.

Dotty’s friend Kylie is watching their employers son when he disappears! Twists, turns, a dead body & of course drama. Dotty’s books are always entertaining.

Dotty and crew are invariably getting themselves mixed up in one thing or another; it's as if they can't help themselves. I imagine Ezzard at her laptop being dragged along for the ride - and documentation - while Dottie becomes embroiled in yet another mess. Good thing Miss Drinkwater is so good at getting herself and her friends out of it too!

A good quick read, each book in the series does well as a standalone. While I'm not all that chuffed with all the characters - I don't need to be, do I? - I do love Dottie and look forward to reading her next adventure! I'm sure you will too!

[I received an Advanced Reader Copy of the book from the author, but I was not required to write a review. The opinions expressed herein are my honest viewpoint.]
