Reviews

'This book is full of excellent practical advice, as well as warmth and recognition of the emotional side of downsizing. The step by step guide and your tips were clear, sensible and very workable. There are plenty of books about decluttering and living with less, but you write from the heart, and from real-life experience, not because it's the latest trend or because you're jumping on a bandwagon. This shines through in every aspect of the book. I had to downsize a couple of years ago and it wasn't something I wanted to do, so it was a very tough process for me, personally. I wish I'd had your book to refer to at the time. I think it would have made the whole process far less painful. Even after the fact, I've found some help from reading this, so thank you.'

'Wow! This really hits home to the fact that we hang on to and carry so much STUFF around with us that is really just baggage! It is really all about change, and that can be the most uncomfortable thing to do. By asking the questions Kay highlights and the using the tips suggested it can clarify all the reasons which make it easier to do. A great little companion to have when the time comes to downsize.' Thank you, Kay.

Five stars to a no bull, step-by- step guide to downsizing. This book is made for those seeking with where to start or how to finish this major life event.

By guiding readers to tap into their personal reactions and barriers about their space, the author helps readers emerge successfully and as stress free as possible given the nature of downsizing.

I'm not ready to move... yet. But after reading this book, I am ready to clear out some clutter and start planning a move!

    Well done!

This is more of a booklet really. Not what I expected. I have a very large house that is full of family items from forty years of life. I need more of a true guide of where to begin and steps to impliment this HUGE task. This was nice mental advice, but no help in prioritizing or beginning a true plan...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a book - very disappointed in content and quantity.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 28, 2017
I was very disappointed when I realised this 'book' was only 30 something pages long and the actual content is only 20 pages. It talks about preparing mentally, in answering 10 questions to think about why you are really downsizing, but what I expected was a far more meaty, comprehensive book on the logistics. It had links to authors Pinterest page and other contact info, but as a document that was going to get you through a downsize move it was far from comprehensive. The print was large to make it look like a bigger issue than it was. Just disappointed - too eclectic - write a book about mentally preparing yourself and all that topic, or write a book about the logistics of moving, but a few pages on your thoughts doesn't warrant the price. It's not a book, its a hand out at an estate agent - market it through something like that or a print off from a website on one tiny aspect of stressfree living. Feel ripped off.
