What to expect An average middle-aged woman with a dachshund, a butler, and a worrying gin habit. Patricia is written with respect and accuracy. She is a woman in her fifties fighting her own insecurities, but always emerging on top. The last book in this series masde me weep tears of happiness for hours and I felt on top of the world for days! Each book is stuffed with hilarious situations wrapped around some of the most original mysteries I have ever read. It's like they rewrote Die Hard and put Angela Lansbury in the lead role!
Hilarious
Wholesome and heartwarming

When Steve Higgs wrote his debut novel, Paranormal Nonsense, he was a captain in the British Army. He would like to pretend that he had one of those careers that must be blacked out and generally denied by the government, and that he has to change his name and move constantly because he is still on the watch list in several countries. In truth, though, he started out as a mechanic - not like Jason Statham in the film by that name, sneaking around as a hitman, but more like one of those sleazy guys who charges a fortune and keeps your car for a week even though the only thing you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.

At school, he was largely disinterested in all subjects except creative writing, for which he won his first prize at the age of ten. However, calling it the first prize he won suggests that there were other prizes, which is not the case. Awards may yet come, but in the meantime, he enjoys writing mystery and thriller novels and claims to have more than a hundred books forming a restless queue in his mind because they are desperate to be written.

Now retired from the military, he lives in southeast England with a duo of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, he doubts he'll ever leave, the beer is just too good.

Rick and Akamu are still on the ship, and help Patricia find out that the pickpockets preying on the guests are a couple of elderly Irish ladies. The ladies escape, however.

When Patricia finds a stolen wallet, and returns it
to a Dr. Mendoza in his cabin, his terrified expression and the creepy men with him tell her he's in trouble. Ship's security does not believe her.

Meanwhile, a virus spreads throughout tbe ship, sicknening dozens of people, including Jermaine and Alistair.

Dr. Mendoza and his "associates" help the ship's doctor, but no one is recovering. Now Patricia must find out why.

With help from Barbie, Deepa, Baker,
Rick, Akamu, and the pickpockets, Mavis and Agnes, Patricia has to work quickly before more people get sick.

And little Anna proves her worth and then some.

    Loved it!

This book was great with Mrs. Fisher getting herself with the terrorists. All of the people getting the Ebola that was brought on the ship by the terrorists. Forcing the doctor to keep the cure hidden or they would harm his family. I am looking forward to the next book.

What can I say? Steve Higgs has done it again... created a warm, engaging, fun story with an awesome cast of characters. I'm midway through the series and love Patricia Fisher more with each book. Honestly, these books should be made into a tv series!! If you like a mystery mixed with humor and engaging characters, you'll love these books!!

Patricia Fisher is at it again, and it's a good thing, too. She's clever and headstrong and has changed so much in such a short time. She's finally come into her own with the help of her intrepid butler, Jermaine, and personal trainer friend, Barbie. Humor and chaos balance the serious illness that befalls some passengers and crew in this fifth book of the series. You won't want the cruise to end.

I received an advance copy and am leaving my honest review.

Everytime I start a Patricia Fisher mystery I find I'm bored by the second page. 'So why the five stars?', you might say. Because before I know it, I've read eight chapters, the book is ending and I'm desolate at the thought of it being over.
    Give the series a go.
    You will never regret it
