Do they all sleep? A father and son are reading a bedtime story, and the reluctant little one wants to know why he should sleep. To answer the question, the two look at different creatures and their sleeping habits. The story helps the boy learn about different animals, different places and ways to sleep.
Each animal tells the boy how and where they sleep and asks him question in return. As the story develops, the child learns different words for sleep, and there is a fun activity at the end where little ones choose how they sleep.
The repetitive questions offers a fresh way to "count sheep", and this delightful little reader can quickly become a favourite bedtime story.

This a cute book about how different animals sleep. It’s makes a great bedtime story and even has questions you can ask your toddler about how they sleep.

The illustrations were great but some of the wording sounded strange. It didn’t really seem to bother my four year old, but it did make it awkward for me to read. Overall though this was a nice book and my son enjoyed it.

I had a lot of hope that this book would be wonderful to read to Cassie before bed. But this book was really hard to read aloud. I was stumbling over words as I read it and I usually don't. I felt like they could have done so much more in the plot. The illustrations in this book are simple but yet they are well done. The colors are little dull but that didn't bother the story.

Just perfect for a bedtime story. The illustrations are simple but wonderful, and bring us into the worlds of the different animals as they rest. I didn’t realize there were so many synonyms and words to describe sleep! We learned a new word today- kip. Thumbs up!

This is a very informative book about how various animals sleep. Children will learn about the way several different animals nap and the habitats that the animals live in. They will also learn different words that have the same meaning as nap. When children see that animals also need rest, they may be more willing to go to sleep! This book is a very good teaching tool for children, and parents can also get a science lesson from it!

Do They All Sleep? is an adorable bedtime book for children written by Srividhya Lakshmanan and illustrated by Akansha Krishnan. The book will appeal to both adults and children, and it will assist in the formation of an endearing, pleasant sleeping habit.

The illustrations are vibrant and vivid, richly exemplifying each animal’s natural habitat and drawing kids swiftly into the narrative.

The sleeping patterns of each animal, bird, and fish are described. The animal's calling naps by their home tongue's name demonstrates differences in language.

Questions for the youngster to answer are sprinkled throughout the book, further immersing them in the story. The questions encourage a child to think about his or her own sleeping habits.

I appreciate how each animal’s story is brief and to the point, making it ideal for young children and beginning readers. The fonts for the little kid and the animal are different, making it easy to tell who is speaking.

Lakshmanan writes enchanting, entertaining and educational stories for children and Do They All Sleep? is no exception.

Written in repetitive, nursery rhyme format, which is perfect for little ones, Do They Sleep? is a perfect bedtime story.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Do They All Sleep? is a charming picture book about a little boy who asks his dad at bedtime why he should sleep. What follows is a back and forth between father and son that covers the sleep habits of several animals including those who sleep deep in the ocean to high in the air and everything in between.

I recommend Do They All Sleep? to pre-school aged and even early readers who love animals and are curious about why we do the things that we do. Its basic concept paired with its beautiful illustrations make it the perfect bedtime story to calm readers’ minds while simultaneously teaching them something new and encouraging them to mimic the sleeping animals in the book.
