Everything I Shouldn't (Nashville Secrets Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 122 ratings

He’s the one person I shouldn’t want…

And the only person I can’t live without.

I’ve always made the right decisions, been the “good girl,” careful to never step over that line. But, when that line begins to blur, my path, my future, changes course.

It was supposed to be a secret - one no one would ever know.

There’s just one problem: How can true love be kept quiet?

It can’t.
It couldn’t.
It didn’t.

Now I have to face the consequences.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Everything I Shouldn't had me completely captivated from the very beginning." - Sammy's Book Obsession

"The title so apt for everything that has happened in this book. SB is the type of character I'm sure (like me) you'd have a love-hate relationship with, but in the end, she'll win your hearts. Just like the first book, I enjoyed reading this story and the ending had made me so excited for the next book in the series!" -
Book Freak

"This story takes you back in time 5 years and you follow their turbulent journey back to the present where you will be left with a big OMG moment that will make you desperately want their continuation in book three (Everything I Need) that will be out in August 2014, right this minute! I know I will be counting down the days to get my hands on their next installment!" -

Everything I Shouldn't is the second book in the Nashville Nights Series.

When I finished reading Save Me From Myself (Book 1 in the series), SarahBeth and Jeremy were not my favorite people in the world. After all that they did to Lyric and the lies they told to keep their relationship a secret from David, one would think that they deserved what they got in the end. But having read their story and learning how their relationship spanned the course of many years, I began to understand why they took the road they did.

This book takes us back 5 years from when SMFM ended. It takes us on a journey of their relationship and how it blossomed to an undying love for each other. There are many kinds of love that us as humans will feel for someone else, and both SB and J have gone thru them for each other. When the heart calls out for that special someone, one would do anything in their power to ensure that he or she ends up with the love of their life. And both SB and J did everything they shouldn't to be with each other.

I was happy to learn what their lives had been throughout the years because it let me know what they endured to build the relationship that they had in the end, as well as the mistakes they've made that end up hurting one or both of them. I don't think that the story could've been told in simple flashbacks. I say this because there was so much that had happened in their pasts that not knowing it would probably still not make me like them and still think of them as being selfish. And now that I know, my heart is breaking for them.

The story ends in a cliffhanger and the continuation, Everything I Need, will be out in August. I can't wait for the rest of their story to be told and know what happens next.

SarahBet is in love whit her brothers best friend Jeremy and they start a relationship. But her brother doesn't know.
Through out the book I'm irritated at SB for acting childish and not wanting to tell her brother about their relationship, that makes enjoying the book difficult. That been said, the story is good and I like the writing style so it's a easy read.
There are some very good erotic scenes in this book and I feel with the characters.
I feel so sorry for Jeremy and at the same time I'm irritated at him for going along with SB idea of not telling her brother about them. I actually was irritated a lot reading this book so it only get 4 stars from me.

So I have waited very un- patiently for this story to come out. After reading about SB and Jeremy in Save Me From Myself, i knew their was more to them. I never expected what I got from reading this. It was totally a story of love that took years to build with neither party totally aware of how the other feels. Love throughout the years, who can resit that kind of story? This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire way. I loved hearing their side and seeing SB grow into a woman through another's eyes. Amazing story of overcoming something horrible and finding the good only to mess it up and how do you move on from that. Also the ending left me screaming but in a good Way.. I would STRONGLY suggest this book to anyone who loves a good story!

I loved where Save Me from Myself left off and this book took off. I was so upset at SB and Jeremy in the last book I could have strangled them, but they redeemed themselves. Jeremy growing up in a family who never really wanted him, found a best friend in David (SB's bro). SB raised and loved by great parents then tragedy strikes. There are many years and many layers to Jeremy and SB. They built such a s foundation I literally felt I was in the moment with them. Get ready to get down and dirty! Get some kleenex ready for the tears! And for goodness sake get a mini fan for your face cause when Jeremy talks, you're gonna need it.. Thanks for the story Stacey! Can't wait until August.

I wasn't as impressed with this one as I was with the first book....I'm not totally against cliffhanger if it's a real cliffhanger... This is like part of the book is gone . It starts a story and it stops in the middle of the story line. Really made a difference in my opinion about this author and who continues to buy these books. I know all authors are different. To each his own. I just prefer not to buy books that half of them are missing and then your waiting for the rest of the story. You live and learn..

Stacey Mosteller has become one of my favorite authors. The Nashville Nights series is fabulous. I can't put the books down until I finish them :)
This story gives more insight into what Jeremy and Sarabeth were thinking while they were reeking havoc in Lyric and David's relationship in Save Me from Myself. It gives good insight to the intentions and regret that accompanied their actions and how it impacted their relationship.
I loved Jeremy's and Sarabeth's love story! She is immature, but really does love Jeremy. Jeremy truly loves her and always has (great descriptive backstory). I can't wait to read Everything I Need and all of the future books in the series. Great writing Stacey!!!

David and Lryic love them. So glad things worked out for them. Jeremy and SarahBeth were not my favorite couple. The lying and all the stuff they did in book one got to me. I did not think they were redeemable... Like what happens a lot I was wrong fell in love with them. I really wanted to kick Jeremy's ass a few times but I still fell for him. I never heard of Stacey until a friend told me about her, I am so glad she did. This is a great story and heads up it will leave you hanging. The good news is you don't have to wait the other book is out. Get this book you won't be disappointed.

This was a great story. I loved the characters and their depth. I liked how they came together and the underlying history between them.

A HOT story that is a great read, good length of story, leaving me wanting more and more for a reasonable price.

I loved SB and her story as well as the secret love that she has held for Jeremy. There were times where I had an "oh no, it can't be" moment and that to me tells me its a great book.

Buy it, you won't regret it.
