Ex's & Oh's (The Lucky Girls Book 1) Kindle Edition
My best friend is getting married, and I'd be remiss as the maid of honor and a successful event planner if I didn't make sure she has the best wedding ever.
My biggest hurdle?
The best man.
He's my worst nightmare all wrapped up in a suit—an old ex's best friend and an arrogant playboy who thinks he's God's gift to womankind.
The problem is, he's not entirely wrong. As a professional football player, he has plenty of experience getting women. He's sexy, flirty, and charming—when he wants to be. And also aggravating and irritating and in my business far too much of the time.
Our attraction is—unfortunately—undeniable. I know giving into him is a bad idea, but he convinces me anyway. Just once, to get it out of our systems.
Except when we end up stranded together on a remote island, once might not be enough ...
And maybe he's not the worst man after all.
Ex’s & Oh’s is a hot enemies to lovers romance featuring a straight-laced events planner who knows exactly what she wants and the playboy athlete who shouldn't want her but does anyway. Lust, laughs, and an HEA guaranteed!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2022Jenna is the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding, and being a successful events planner, she is determined to make this a wonderful event, and she is not happy when she meets the best man Brett, whom she has hated for over a decade. Jenna used to date Brett’s friend and when things did not work out, she blames him, and now her nemeses Brett, is a charming playboy who is a professional football player. These two are complete opposites, but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which has engaging and relatable characters, and is an enemies / lovers’ story, with twists, secrets, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to a sweet and entertaining addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2022I don't know how much to pay attention to the blurb because it seemed a bit confusing. This is a Romance of opposites that attract each other, almost enemies at the wedding of their best friends
.
It was spicy, it was fun and I liked that the conflict did not go through a cliché an exposed envelope great gesture later
.
Jenna work organizing events in Los Angeles and after several years working for others she is ready to start her own business starting with her best friend's wedding in Hawaii, which will give her the media boost she needs
.
But being the planner and maid of honor of a rich and demanding family can be quite a challenge and come with certain surprises like not meeting the best man in person and that he just happens to be the best friends of her ex-boyfriend from high school, and her nemesis who was always ready to annoy her
.
Nothing goes as expected even if the flowers are perfect, and the paparazzi are around at all hours without capturing any scandal. In a series of strange events Jenna finds herself in Hawaii with several of her exes and a chance to find love and the perfect person for her
.
I enjoyed reading this book, the descriptions of Hawai, how she finds love and the chemistry between them, but I didn't like the secondary characters and how the stay glued to the main love story

#exsandohs by #hazelparker is a new standalone coming soon. This is my first book by this author.
Brett is living the bachelor life. He talks a big game to everyone around him about how it’s the best and relationships are for the weak. Why would you want to be bossed around by someone and not get to live your life? He’s off to his best friends wedding and ready to party and continue to hook up. Until there she is. The girl he’s pined over since high school. The girl he tormented. The girl who hates him. Needing to be civil for the sake of the wedding, what can go wrong? Throw in some hostile feelings, alcohol and sexual tension, sparks will fly. Now he needs to decide if maybe after all, someone to love isn’t so bad.
Jenna has worked hard for where she is. She’s planning her besties wedding, making a name for herself and seeing where things go. A hopeless romantic only goes so far. She thought she’d marry her high school sweetheart, until he leaves her for college and doesn’t look back. Now, the man she’s blamed for that breakup for the last 10 years is in front of her. In the wedding party with. She needs to put aside her differences. But after spending time with him, maybe everything she thought was all wrong. But can her heart withstand the drama filled explosion that’s about to happen?
This is my first book by this author and honestly I was very pleasantly surprised! This book kept me interested the entire time. I had to stay up all night to finish it. The relationship between Brett and Jenna was fire. Brett finally showing emotion and Jenna put aside her damn stubbornness. There chemistry was off the charts. There was definitely some parts that threw me for a loop, that I didn’t expect but loved. Absolutely recommend this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2022There are some interesting facets to this story where 2 ex-boyfriends and old “nemesis” make and appearance.
The c
MC’s were ok - just a little bland. I think there should have been a lot more sexual tension and connection. It was an ok book - 3 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2022Jenna is an event planner. She is helping her best friend, Stacey with her wedding to Marc. Stacey comes from a well to do family and Marc is a pro football player so Jenna is being the Maid of Honor and the Wedding Planner. The wedding is in Hawaii because Marc’s team is playing a game there. His Best Man Brett lives in Hawaii and plays on the other football team. One of Marc’s teammates is injured and bows out of the wedding so Marc tells Jenna not to worry because he has recruited another one of his friends to fly in right before the wedding to fill in.
Jenna is not in a relationship and she had her heart broken by her high school boyfriend. Noah broke up with Jenna to go to Miami for college with his best friend Brett. Brett was always the third wheel and always picked on Jenna to get a rise out of her. Jenna blames not only Noah but Brett for the break up. Jenna pursued her degree in California, met Stacey and they’ve been best friends ever since.
When they arrive in Hawaii, Jenna discovers that Brett, the Best Man is none other than Brett from high school. Stacey makes Jenna promise to put her old hurt feelings aside to work with Brett on the wedding. Jenna agrees since Stacey’s mom Laura is all about appearances and is stressing Stacey out that everything has to be perfect.
Can Jenna stay professional? Will Brett reveal the real reason why he always picked on Jenna in high school? Loved all the twists and turns in the story and the characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars fun book
I have had this book a long time and finally got around to reading it. Sorry I waited so long. It was a fun read lots of ups and downs with the 4 main characters but it also had its funny moments. Brett and Jenna were total opposites but found out they were perfect for one another. Typical boy teases girl because he likes her and girl doesn’t get it and is annoyed. They all show what true friendship meant to one another through thick and thin. Enjoyed immensely.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read 😁
A book that had me laughing hard and banging my head at various occasions. It's filled with Ex's and a lot of confusion. A wedding disaster in the making with all the miscommunication.
I liked Brett's character as he accepts himself for who he is and does not sugar coat. He is upfront and open about what he wants and what he can give. He understands what's being lonely even when surrounded by people.
Jenna isn't one of my favourites in the book. Although it's her Best friends wedding things were more about her. Then she held a grudge for years which wasn't actually Brett's fault. Later when she ends up spilling the beans to Stacey on her wedding day she still blames Brett.
It's a lovely story in beautiful setting with some great characters. Even with all the secrets and miscommunications I loved the story.
