About the author

Sionnach, pronounced SHUHN ukh, is a trans man who enjoys writing steamy M/M romance with flawed characters and veins of darkness. One can’t have light without shadows, and he thinks happiness without some suffering to acquire it is nonsense. True love matters, and things that matter come at cost. Some of his favorite tropes are hurt/comfort, enemies to lovers, and opposites attract. He’s a political junkie and is passionate about animals, the environment, and social justice. These themes often find their way into his books. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his soulmate, seven cats, and a husky. (He/Him)

- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2017Opposites attract so hotly in this read. Gossamer is rough and tumble from the outside yet calm, caring, healer who is looking for love. Pox is a beautiful, slight parasol carrying nightsprite. Pox is also haughty, rude, and kind of mean.
I wasn't a fan of Pox in the beginning. He was much too pretty and arrogant. Gossamer is sweet and caring and I wasn't so sure Pox deserved him. There was a definite slow burn that was pretty funny but the payoff was huge. Both Pox and Gossamer were slow on the uptake of what the other wanted, each other. But when it became clear, holy crap it was hot.
A very satisfying end, I hate cliffhangers, even as you are looking forward to the next book and seeing where Pox and Gossamer go in the future. I highly recommend and have already downloaded the next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2021Do you ever sometimes wish that epic fantasy could be cut down to just the interactions between the two main characters? Just skim through everything else and get the those little bits? Well I kind of found it in this book. You get a little idea of who this band of people/creatures are, and where they are going. But as the story moves along, and the group travels to where they are going, you really only get the story of our two lover birds, Gossamer and Pox. Gossamer is kind and sweet, and shares his body with a two-headed winged beast he named Puff-puff. Puff-puff is very protective of Gossamer and hasn't been too kind to his past partners. Pox, on the other hand, basically hates everyone. To be fair, it is difficult going from living as a Prince to scraping by and sleeping on the floor in the forest. And it is not an instant lust/attraction story. It's a slow awakening that builds on small acts and trust. It is awesome, and great, and you only sort of wonder where they are going and what they are doing. But in the end, it's not about the quest for these two, it's about them and coming together, trusting another others and mainly yourself.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2021A human warrior, a dwarf, a necromancer, a hobgoblin and a fae monster… and a certainly entertaining story on the making..
This was unexpected and utterly enjoyable. I loved the characters, with their faults and quirks, and the snarky sense of humour. The adventures of Pox, Goss, Fiona and Puff-Puff are as crazy as fascinating, and they leave you wondering what will happen next. Because there must be more adventures on the way for these bizarre band of unique characters…
Really entertaining.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2021This is a really creative story, with some complex characters, but the prose is a little sophomoric. A quick light read I wish I could have rated higher, but the prose is lacking. Good read.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2019A fun read with interesting characters and some fun nakie times. Not perfect, some editing issues, but a good read overall. I had a different idea in mind before I started, but I'm happy with the way the story went and not disappointed in the least.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2017Wintergreen spins a captivating fantasy with interesting characters, a compelling story, and good world building. The book was hard to put down. Pox and Gossamer are so unforgettable, by the end I was totally invested in the outcome. I want more!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2019Well, this is just adorable. Such sweet pining. It’s not a long book, but it has what it needs in there. Good humor, strong voice, excellent characters, world-building that’s sufficient without being tedious. Very enjoyable
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2019A unique fantasy story. Love Gossamer, though Pox took some getting used to. There's humour, snark and an unusual love story. Loved it!
