What was grandma thinking?! When two strong headed “cousins” inherit a restaurant, they argue into HEA! Good food, let’s eat!

Lindsey and Alex knew each other as children, but haven't seen each other in years. She has been working hard to become a chef in her hometown, while Alex has made a name, and an enormous fortune, for himself by developing new restaurants.

When their grandmother passes away and leaves them her restaurant to share, they're thrown back together. Diametrically opposed on almost every aspect of the restaurant's renovation, the two argue almost constantly. As they spend more time together, they begin to realize that when they compromise, they come up with a better result than either could produce on their own.

The sparks fly and Alex begins to understand what he has been missing while out making a career for himself - family, companionship and affection. He finds all of that in Lindsey, even if she doesn't reciprocate his feelings.

These two will need to learn to let their walls down and allow themselves to be happy if they are to make a life with each other and realize their individual dreams.

A wholesome, fun romance read that shows the evolution of two enemies into friends and so much more.

This is a voluntary honest review of an ARC of the story

    Summary:

All Lindsey ever wanted was to open her own restaurant and her grandmother told her their old would be hers one day. The day Alex turned eighteen he moved away from his adoptive family never looking back until his grandmother dies leaving part owner of their family business with Lindsey. Now Alex has made his fortune opening high end restaurants while Lindsey knows her end of the business, cooking. The two but heads form the start as Alex doesn’t want to put in the effort while Lindsey wants to keep her grandmother’s dream alive.

The conflict between tradition versus modernization placed Lindsey and Alex at odds form the start in this hysterical and fun story. It was sad how Alex felt bad about not returning to see his grandmother before she passed, but what he didn’t know that she was possibly trying to set him up with Lindsay. His need to make his own way began to change when he returned learning that what he thought about his adoptive family as an adult was different than when he was younger. Their grandmother’s disdain towards Lindsey’s boyfriend was funny, but I loved how she inferred how she might just pick someone out for her., maybe she already had! You have to love how Italian grandparents will take things upon themselves to help their family in a very loving way; mine sure did! This was a wonderful edition the Sweet Bay Billionaire series.

I volunteered to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and to submit an honest review.

Lindsey was a sous chef who inspired to be a head chef one day, preferably in her own restaurant. The head chef she worked under was quite hard to please, very much like Gordon Ramsey.

She received word that her Grandmother wanted to see her. Her Grandmother's health was not good; Lindsey knew she would not have her near for much longer. While she was visiting with her Grandmother, she was told she was being left the restaurant that her Grandparents built and operated for many years. The restaurant has been closed for quite some time since her Grandfather past away and Grandmother's poor health.

What Lindsey did not expect to hear was that Grandmother's will stated that the restaurant was being left to her AND her adopted cousin, Alex Pennington. Alex was CEO of Pennington Enterprises. Alex, a billionaire purchased and revamped restaurants to make them successful. What Alex planned on was to demolish the dilapidated restaurant and build a 5-star restaurant as the property was located adjacent to the brand new Sweet Bay Spa and Resort.

As soon as Lindsey heard what Alex planned, sparks flew. She dug in her heals and refused to the restaurant be demolished.

This is another dynamite read by Rachel Taylor.

Falling for her Billionaire Enemy by Rachel Taylor a five-star read that you will fall hard for. This is the third novel in the Sweet Bay Billionaires series and they just go from strength to strength, each can be read as stand-alone. This is a sweet, clean romance that will make you hungry as you read, the descriptions of the tasty Italian food are mouth-watering and delicious. Alex Pennington is a great character and he will make you turn each page quicker than the next, he has a compulsion to him a drive that is powerful, will he ever find what he needs to be happy? After a great inheritance that comes with ties hopefully, he will find what he needs. Lindsey was someone who I warmed too much like she warmed her food as the story developed and she became someone you could get behind; Sweet Bay is a place that will warm you like a warm blanket and the people with in are a special bread that will warm you like a hot chocolate. I for one can’t wait for the Sweet Bay Brides and the stories they will bring.

I like books about cooking/food, as well as overcoming challenges to make something outstanding. This book does it well. Where apparent opposites must team up to create something worthwhile. It does it really well, and has a great ending too. Wish I had another book this good to read now😏
