4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 9 ratings

When rock-star Rocco Boyle died at the height of his fame, guitarist Clay Harper loses the idol whose life he always wanted. In his wildest dreams, Clay never imagined he'd soon be living on the infamous estate where Boyle died.

Or that Boyle would still be in residence….

But in the hills of Los Angeles, things are seldom what they seem, and despite all warnings, Clay will venture deep into L.A.’s underbelly—touring its famous rock clubs and hangouts, auditioning for a rising local band led by the talented and alluring Savy Marquez—to discover what really happened the night Boyle died….

And though the answer is terrifying, uncovering it may be the very thing that launches Clay to stardom of his own.

Populated with devils, spirits, record execs, and other frightful creatures, Farewell Ghost is a tale of rock-star dreams turned otherworldly nightmare.

Larry Caldwell's 'Farewell Ghost' is a really, really fun ride. Larry's use of language is wonderfully visual and cinematic, and the book quickly becomes a page-turner. It's one of those novels that you can't wait to find out what happens, but you don't really want to get to that last page because you know you're gonna miss the exciting fun ride the story takes you on... a wild trip through ghosts and rock'n'roll!
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

    Farewell Ghost
    By Larry Caldwell
This is a book I won in a Goodreads Giveaway. It is about a teen boy and his dad that move after the death of his mother. They buy a $3.5 million home that was the home of a famous rock star had died. The house is suppose to be haunted.
The book seems to be geared for teens in its dialogue and actions but then has sex scenes so it's definitely not for teens! I liked the idea of all the ghosts, evil succubus, Demon-like creatures but something was missing and it was hard to put my finger on exactly what it was.
    I enjoyed the book but it's not a re-reader.
