About the author

Daisy Boon hails from the beautiful West Coast of Ireland, the child of an Irish mother and an American father. An illustrator by profession, she writes about, 'men and women, and the differences and similarities they inhabit.' Control is a central theme, and so is compulsion.
'Sexuality is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is what I seek in all my writing.'
She is divorced, an independent spirit, 'my writing is all about exploring myself; my needs, my sexuality and my imagination.'
She sees herself as a bit of a rebel, 'I am not bound by conventions, and transgression is good for the soul. If you can think it, you can do it.' It is why researching my books can be so pleasing.
She is at pains to disown the rumour that she is related to the great Irish writer James Joyce, saying that even if it were true she would deny it.
She lives alone with her cat and is much talked about by the locals. 'Well, hopefully', she adds.
She says: 'Is a sex story just a story... about or dealing with sexuality? Or can this Erotic genre aspire to more? Can it be something memorable or even inspirational? The aim with my writing is to make the tales sexy, graphic, humorous, arousing and as entertaining as possible with an eye to the mainstream. I feel that good, aspirational erotic fiction has a role to play in the larger, book market. I am proud to release my latest offering, Satyr, through Tantalus Press and Amazon. A fully explosive and inventive sexual novel, which was an absolute pleasure to write. I do hope you enjoy it.'
