Knox Whiteshaw is my husband.

He’s also an egotistical psychopath who refuses to divorce me—even when I ask nicely.

It doesn’t matter that I’m trying to move on with the goalie of his NHL team. Knox is dead set on ruining everything.

My upcoming wedding, my future, my sanity…

The man can hold a grudge like no other, and I am public enemy number one. I have been for six years, ever since he threatened me and stormed out of my life.

Now that we’re forced back in each others’ lives, it’s only a matter of who will break first: him or me.

I loved Knox & Aurora’s (Sunny) story! We get to find out why Knox is the way he is in the last several books and of course we get cameos from our favorite past Hockey Gods. I love the way Knox loves Sunny and just can’t let her go! This story, I felt, wasn’t as dark as some of the other books but there was still suspense and a good amount of spice. I can’t wait for our next hockey series ☺️

This was a good book, but not the best. The 1st one with Grayson was the best out of the series. I dont regret reading it, just took me long than normal.

Since the start of the series I wanted to know what makes Knox tic. I dont think she explain his crazy as well as I would like. Over all it follow suit as the others and was a good read.

This book is not totally what I expected when I thought of Knox’s story. I thought his would be the craziest yet. Not in a bad way though.
Things I enjoyed: the story telling, the writing style, the look into Knox’s life and the conclusion.
Things I didn’t hate but didn’t love: it felt fast paced almost to the point of rushed, there wasn’t as much spice as I thought there would be given Knox’s reputation and the plot twist felt a little predictable.
You felt the love, lust and the craziness throughout. It was a wild wide with the Hockey Gods, but I’m not mad at it.

Knox character did not disappoint! He’s got more beneath the surface than the goofball playboy persona he puts on, which I had suspected but wow. This is considered a dark romance and I mean, I get that. But also, it’s freaking hilarious. So many times in this book I would be laughing out loud, sometimes to the point of tears streaming down my face. Knox and Auroras chemistry was amazing from the get go!

I went into the book absolutely despising Knox, but this book completely changed my opinion on him. Do I still hate what he did to Willow? Yes. Do I understand why he did it more? Also yes.

While he can be an absolute jerk, he is also super sweet and devoted when he wants to be. And unhinged 🤪

**spoilers** The fact that Aurora literally stayed a virgin? I was SHOCKED. The fact that Beth was behind all of this drama between the two of them? Ooh I am ANGRYYYYYY. And JOEL being involved in the betting and their relationship being a fraud?? Omg not happy but glad it all worked out.

Omg the proposal at the end too 🥹 I loved it.

Genre/Trope: Hockey, Enemies to Lovers Romance
Book Type: Standalone, but connected to a series.
    Book Length: Novel
    POV: Alternating Dual
    Setting: Denver, Colorado
Male MC: Knox Whiteshaw is a professional NHL player for the Colorado Titans. He is a total manwhore and has behaved terribly to women in his past, including his brother’s now girlfriend. We discover recently that he is actually married to Aurora, but we don’t know how that all came about until this book. Knox is 24 and has dark-blond hair and blue eyes.
Female MC: Aurora McGovern is a successful romance author with a new fiancée; the only problem is she has to divorce her current husband first. Aurora and Knox meet as children and next-door neighbors. They both shared a love of hockey and Aurora had dreams of going to the Olympics with the US women’s team, until her dreams were shattered. Aurora is 23 and has auburn hair and green eyes with a splotch of blue in one of them.
    Endearment: Sunshine and Sunny
    Spice Level: Low/Medium
    Frequency of Spice: Low/Medium
    Angst Level: Medium
    Cliffhanger: No
My Review: I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the others previous in the series. Knox was my least favorite MMC coming into this, but he did redeem himself in this story. I felt he had a great connection and chemistry with Aurora, however, the reason behind their separation was an annoying misdirection and miscommunication that could have been resolved if they actually talked instead of breaking up. I understand why Aurora was hurt and stayed away, but I didn’t understand why Knox carried on the way he did for years without speaking to her about things. Despite all that, I liked their journey together. I wish it was a bit spicier; it seemed kind of tame compared to the other books in the series, but it was fun, funny, sweet and had a bit of suspense and action. Overall a very good book that I do highly recommend!

Well, finally,it's Knox's turns to see if he can be redeemed from his horrible attitude and decisions this past series. I immediately fell in love with Aurora and loved her even more when she would insult Knox. She had this calmness about her at all times that I really loved seeing because Knox can rile you up. The story about the whole book was good, but a lot of this story was very predictable for me. Like first how easy Knox was to fold honestly out of all the guys he's kinda a cinnamon role in this book. It was very apparent who fed him the lie when they were younger. The ending was predictable as well. I did love the parts reading the manuscript to learn about their past. The steamy parts were ok but I will say Knox character just is like the boy who yells when he has to share and when someone takes his toy away he makes it his life mission to get it back. So, everything he did in his life was because of that mentality. I did like seeing his real heart at the hospital and realizing how much he messed up with miles. Do I feel like he's redeemed meh?

How can a man be driven crazy and humbled at the same time? Just ask Aurora because she's taking on the man ho himself, Knox. This was a great read where you will laugh, cheer for the girl who knocks the mighty Hockey God back to sense. She fell first but his fall for the 2nd time was harder than the first.

Arg... i hate that this set/series is complete, but, it's 5 so it's just where it should wrap.
After everything that's happened, Knox's story makes sense.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect end to our Hockey Gods
Reviewed in Australia on February 22, 2024
So the count down was finally over for Mr Knox Whiteshaw. And I must say, he's story did surprise me. While I don't think this story was as dark as some as our previous Hockey Gods (looking at you Miles), it was still perfection for Knox. I loved seeing who he is behind the helmet and goofy personality we have all seen. His redemption was written so well by S. Massery while showing so many of his reasons.
BUT, I do believe the real star of this is Aurora Whiteshaw. This woman. This woman is officially my favourite from the entire series and I really hope she's yours when you read her. Getting to see a woman really hold her own against Knox was absolute PERFECTION.
I do think you need to read the previous Hockey Gods series though to really grasp the whole scale of things and to truly enjoy the character evolution.
I'm so sad the series is done, but it has been a pleasure to read and worth every second of WTF the S. Massery makes us all feel.

5.0 out of 5 stars un tome qui conclut parfaitement la série
Reviewed in France on February 15, 2024

5.0 out of 5 stars such a great series
Reviewed in Canada on February 16, 2024
“ You devastated me six years ago, Sunny. And now that we’re in the same city, I plan on repaying the favor.”

I was desperate for answers to their story and what triggered Knox to turn into what he is. Before this book, I would never describe Knox as sweet but the one moments in the past and the change we see throughout the book as he gets closer to Aurora again had me squealing.

“ I liked that Aurora represented the first few rays of sunlight in the morning, beating back the darkness. “

Aurora is trying to move on with her life and leave Knox in the rear view mirror but he refuses to sign the divorce papers to let her fully move on, especially since she is engaged to one of his teammates.

Aurora stumbles unto a conversation that wasn’t meant for her ears and this leaves her vulnerable. After being attacked for not listening to what they wanted her to do, she seeks out Knox for help.

To say he loses it when he sees her beat up is an understatement but this leads him and the other men ( LOVED SEEING THEM TOGETHER) to seek out vengeance, answers and protect what is theirs.

“ Because sometimes, the only way to get a monster put down is to force the hero into action.”

This book was filled with romantic suspense, answers and redemption moments for Knox. His inner thoughts slayed me and this moments were he was completely honest got me to see a different side of him. Their HEA was a hard and at times scary journey for them but so well deserved.

I won’t lie, I’m so sad that this series is over but I can’t WAIT to see what is coming with the new hockey boys we were interested too.
