    In File Zero (the fifth of the Agent Zero novels by Jack Mars), Agent Zero and the small cadre of Agents and people he can trust, help him foil the government conspiracy that has been in the background of the first four novels. The action is fast and furious with some heart-stopping moments and some clever literary sleight of hand. Mr. Mars manages to keep the action and suspense ratcheted up until it is nearly unbearable. But, I don't want to spoil any of the twists that await the reader. This is a series that must be read in order for the enjoyment to be maximum.

    This is the novel that ties it all together. There are some threads left to unravel in the end, but for the most part, this is the proper conclusion to the series up to this point. To say that I enjoyed the novel is a vast understatement. This may be the most satisfying in the series so far. We have a bit of a wait for Agent Zero #6, Recall Zero, but it will eventually arrive but the wait, for me, will be excruciating. Well done, Mr. Mars. Agent Zero is the perfect series to complement his Luke Stone series. Buy it! Read it!

    I decided to read book 6 of the series before reviewing this one because, although I was enjoying the series, I was becoming concerned about the repetitive nature of the story line about Agent Zero’s children. Having read the 6th book, I see now what the author was leading up to with it. I won’t say any more as I don’t want to spoil it for you. I’ll just say that, for me, it all fits together now.
    This story continues where 4 left off and I recommend that you read all of the books in order. It’s another well written, page turning story that had me reading into the night. Agent Zero, while not always being likable is definitely a character whose stories can run and run
