Finding Alexander (Lost Treasures Book 1) Kindle Edition
Archaeologist Cairo Vanderbilt was born to be a treasure hunter, whether he liked it or not. When his famous father dies in search of the tomb of Alexander the Great, Cairo picks up the trail to find the world's most famous lost treasure. Having failed once before, he's determined to find Alexander’s remains and fulfill his family's legacy.
History blogger Dillinger DeCosta has only written about the past from the safety of his South Boston office. After hearing Cairo speak about the coming expedition on the evening news, he
wants to join the hunt for Alexander and finally be on the front lines of history-in-the-making. By offering to come along, Dillinger is taking a huge risk, but he's banking on an even bigger reward.
Hot on Alexander’s trail, Cairo and Dillinger discover sparks between them that ignite unexpectedly. One of the men has a secret that may threaten not only the success of the expedition, but their new relationship as well. If they can't find a way past the challenge that lies between them, they might just lose the greatest treasure of all.

About the author

Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fan fiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author.
In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.
Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens, and handsome men falling in love with each other.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseLoved it! Had all the feels for me! Two men who are finding themselves, learning to be who they are meant to be, outside the shadow of their fathers's. One the creator of stories and one the teller of stories have so much to give each other.
Cairo and Dillinger are awesome characters who became three dimensional with the telling of this story. Their connection is complex and so very steamy. I really liked them together. The writing was great and the story-line was creative and engaging.
The archaeological world is a wonderful new story-land for this author to explore and i am excited to see what she might create. There are some really awesome characters, Memphis and Magnus that i would love to see more about.
Really fun read!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIf you are looking for a good read something that's not too long very interesting you love history I think you would enjoy this this is the first Indiana Jones type of gay fiction I have seen I would like to see a lot more as soon thank you to the author
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2019Format: KindleThis is nice, light story with romance, ancient history, intrigue with a dash of angst - all leading to a sweet HEA.
Dillinger loves history and when he sees an opportunity to experience it first hand, he sets about trying (and succeeding) to join the expedition to find Alexander.
Cairo is trying to live up the the Legacy of the Vanderbilts, so embarks on his first expedition as the lead - he still second guesses himself, but is supported by his brother and their best friend.
Although there is an instant attraction between the two MCs, Dillinger soon recognises that he and Cairo are both products of parental disappointment. Together, they flirt and support each other until Dillinger's big secret is revealed.
I liked the story, especially the Egyptology part, but I will be honest and say that I thought the MCs relationship rather quickly, then when the big reveal happened, it was so easy for Cairo to give up.
Overall, a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pandora Pine delivers another winner!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseFinding Alexander is a fantastic romp through Egypt with Cairo & Dillinger as they race to track down the last resting place of the Macedonian King while they face up to difficulties from their family histories, as well as their growing romance...
The huge amount of research that went into writing this book is clear from the descriptions of the locations, archaeological processes & cultural aspects of travelling & working in Egypt. There are twists & turns enough in the plot to satisfy anyone who loves adventure novels - there is genuine suspense in the 'will they/won't they find Alexander' arc. I also found the character development engaging; Pandora has again given us a cast with well-rounded back stories which carry through into their evolving relationships, especially Cairo & Dillinger of course.
All in all, Finding Alexander is a very well-written romantic adventure & a must-read for all Pandora Pine fans. I do hope we'll get books for Memphis & Magnus in the future, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome adventure....
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhat happens when a history blogger and an archeologist team up to search for long lost Alexander the Great. Chemistry, sexual tension, snarky comments. Brought in to the team by Cairo's twin brother, Dillinger and Cairo were at odds from the start, despite the physical attraction. A great adventure that's for sure. Loved it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Adequate
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSomewhat predictable. I love this author. She is talented and a must buy. Unfortunately I found this book kinda boring. I knew who Dillinger was. I also knew Cairo would find the tomb. There was no aha or even a omg moment. 4 stars as it was written well and as I said I love this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rollicking Adventure.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed this book - it's typical Pandora Pine, a good mix of mystery, romance and humour - think gay 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'. I read it very quickly, couldn't put it down and loved every minute of it - it's totally an escapist romp that pulled me in from the beginning.
I liked the pace of it, both the adventure in the story and the introduction to the collection of characters. I also liked the realistic qualities of Cairo, he’s not perfect, but he's really likeable . He and Dillinger were a great match for one another.
There are also some entertaining secondary characters who play a big part in the story, I'd love to see them get their own books. A well written story which drags you along the path the characters are following.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful story
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseOnce again Pandora Pine wrote a story that hit all my feels and more.
I loved Cairo and Dillinger. I had trouble connecting to Cairo at the beginning, but as the story progresses, you understand why he is how he is and you can't help loving him.
I loved everything about Dillinger, he was so fun, enthusiastic and sweet, but no pushover.
I loved the archeological plot, it was something I didn't know I was looking for, and she wrote it perfectly.
Overall a great book, really recommend
