Finding Finley Kindle Edition
I may be young, but I know what I want.
I yearn to be submissive, both in and out of the bedroom. There’s nothing I crave more than being under the control of another man. Handing over power would fulfill a need I feel down to the marrow of my bones.
What I don’t know is how to get it. This kind of relationship requires complete trust—something I don’t give to anyone except my only friend.
Then along comes Dr. Aidan Kingsley. For the third time in my life, he helps me, without even knowing it, and someone like that, I can’t help but believe in. This is the man I’m meant to be on my knees for. Aidan is meant to be my Sir.
AIDAN
I’ve never had a full-time submissive.
I’ve certainly never had a houseboy, but when I meet Finley, I can’t seem to turn him away.
Instead, I decide to keep things simple, showing Finley that he can take pride on his knees but also stand on his own. He takes care of my home, and he gives me control, in a strictly platonic way, even though he wants more. He’s so beautiful, so naturally submissive, that I’m having a hard time sticking to my rules.
The more he flourishes and the more he craves from me, the tougher I find it to deny him. Before I know it, he’s under my skin. In my bed and in my heart. It wasn’t supposed to go this far. I was only supposed to give him the tools he needed to find his own strength, yet somehow, in the finding of Finley, I found myself too.
But my precious boy is only twenty; nineteen years my junior. And as I’ve told him, forever is a long time, and nothing in life is guaranteed.

About the author

Riley Hart’s love of all things romance shines brightly in everything she writes. Her primary focus is Male/Male romance but under various pen names, her prose has touched practically every part of the spectrum of love and relationships. The common theme that ties them all together is stories told from the heart.
A hopeless romantic herself, Riley is a lover of character-driven plots, many with flawed and relatable characters. She strives to create stories that readers can not only fall in love with, but also see themselves in. Real characters and real love blended together equal the ultimate Riley Hart experience.
When Riley isn’t creating her next story, you can find her reading, traveling, or dreaming about reading or traveling, and spending time with her two perfectly snarky kids, and one swoon-inducing husband.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed this book, and far more than many BDSM books as the thought processes of both the Dom and sub are much more realistic than many I have read. While I think it is probably an mostly unrealistic 24/7 D/s relationship, there are a few that truly are this 24/7 severe, especially those with out children. The places both men come from, their reasons for their needs and behaviors is fantastic. While neither of them had a great childhood, they also weren't so abused and thus that is why they want the BDSM relationship. I detest books and movies that indicate the only people who want BDSM are those that have been mentally abd physically abused etc, as that is absolutely untrue. I loved that a Doctor is into BDSM, it is nice to show that people from all walks of life enjoy the lifestyle. Riley also did very well on knowing what toys are used and the way they feel on the skin and when the sub said he had no limits, she absolutely beautifully showed why that is one of the most unsafe things a sub can say, and had the Dom react exactly as he should. His reactions in general were so well written, he never acted in anger, he was never abusive and always thought about what his boy needed, even if it wasn't what he wanted for himself. Its rare I read a book straight through and don't stop, up into the night with work early, that's how much I enjoyed it. It was funny, the party the men go to was so similar to ones I attend I could imagine it was there. I also liked that they had many discussions on limits, desires, trying things to see if its what they liked etc. If anyone is looking for a more realistic BDSM romance that is only unrealistic in that its so difficult to be on 24/7 almost impossible really (so I would hate for people to think this is totally realistic) but the relationship itself, the discussions, needs, thoughts, toys, safety and care are right on point, and its absolutely something I will recommend to those who are wanting to read about kink, but in a non harmful way as the OTHER books we all know of. I do hope to see is David finds a boy and I hope its Preston (I think that is the guys name)
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI’ve been putting this book on the burner for awhile. While it was good it didn’t totally blow me away but still worth the read.
I can relate to Finley a lot the need to serve a dom. the boy is just so precious. Finely comes from a broken home after his mom died and never really had any family besides his best friend Ian. Aiden had saved Finley a few times in life and was lucky to stumble upon him again.
I can understand how Aiden is afraid to initiate any sort of intimacy with Finley at first because of his own trauma that happened to him during his childhood.
I would’ve given this book a 5 star if I wasn’t so annoyed with Aiden in the middle of the book. While Aiden didn’t promise Finley of anything intimate while at the same time Aiden already knew his feelings for Finley. While Aiden went out and slept with another person knowing it wasn’t right or feeling as though it was all sorts of wrong didn’t make it any better. He told Finley he had no obligations for intimacy with him but Aiden still went out and did it knowing the pain he would cause Finley. That is a no go for me. You spend literally almost a year with Finley growing to love him on an emotional level and even though you made no promises doesn’t mean you should toy with his feelings when you already know the boy is so deeply in love with you. That part of the book literally made me think Aiden just a woman taking advantage of a naive young adult with his emotions.
The other thing I also can’t understand is that while they talked about sharing Aiden comes off possessive but still shares Finley once at the end with David because he feels as though they should experience it to see if they’ll like it. And through some parts of the book Finley is turned on by the thoughts of being with others yet he in most of the book he talks about only wanting Aiden? I mean if you used it in a real life situation since Finley is into this life style and knows what he wants doesn’t that mean he already knows he doesn’t want to be shared? It says they weren’t into it and I’m thinking you don’t have to experience something to know if you like it or not. You make Aiden and Finley come out as these possessive characters throughout the book yet in some short pages they contradict it with their actions. Aiden is written as possessive, he didn’t even want to go to the first party cause he didn’t want people to see Finley and want him yet he’s ok then to share. Finley is written to be deeply devoted to Aiden yet he almost wanted to sleep with Jordan, yet the thought of Aiden with anyone else has him jealous and seeing red. So some of the words and actions just really contradicted the characters.
Other thing that is left out is Aiden and David’s relationship. Does Finely know about their past? I mean it’s not important but the fact they shared Finley does that mean Finley almost shared Aiden with David knowing their past? So many questions I need answers to.
Otherwise I think I would’ve liked the book more.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseEach book, I love Riley Hart more. How she ties the beginning of the beginning to the end and the in between in ah so wonderful! I want to see David and Jordan together.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI read this book mostly because I wanted to see how it would feel to read something where on paper it would sound like I was the main character. Conclusion is: a little weird, but for the most part there was so little real character development that I didn’t feel any connection to anyone. The author just kind of said “here, have a vaguely referenced tragic past” and called it good so far as developing characters went. I do always find it a little ridiculous when an author gives an older character names that are popular now. I’m in my mid twenties and until my early teens I had never heard of another Aidan. Now of course there’s younger Aidens (always with the en spelling) up to our ears, but it’s ridiculous to think that a 40 year old American man of no described Irish descent would be named Aidan.
The domestic servitude elements were ok. There was nothing really objectionable about this. I mean, I guess if you’re anti-kink there might be, but if a D/s book is what you’re looking for then this one isn’t the best but it’s certainly not the worst.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA fantastic read. I was expecting at least some angst, but the lack of it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Really this was a book about embracing the good as it presents itself in your life, and finding the healing that comes with it. I didn’t even know this read was something I needed, but I’m so glad I picked it up. It’s a delicious, indulgent experience. A real standout among what I’ve read recently. Thank you Riley Hart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great start to the series
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI love Riley’s books and this was a lovely surprise. I hadn’t read a book before that was focused solely on a full time houseboy relationship. Right from the very beginning Finley and dr Aidan Kingsley had a strong connection. The story is a slow burn and really explored the ins and outs of this kind is Dom, sub relationship. There were great surprises and I loved the secondary characters. Aidan was just such an amazing man and was just perfect for Finley, they had both suffered greatly in their lives and needed to feel loved. I can’t wait for book two. I wonder if it’s David, Ian or Jordan’s story?!

5.0 out of 5 stars Einfach nur schön
Weiter so. Als nächstes wünsche ich mir das Pairing: David und Jordan

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute pleasure
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book was an absolute pleasure to read. I loved how the author really explored the relationship and both characters personalities. Both Finley and Aiden are wonderful characters and their back stories are heartbreaking. Together they find love and healing. Thank you Riley for an amazing book.
