Finding Bailey: A Lake Tahoe Romantic Suspense Novel Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 224 ratings

"Finding Bailey has it all: scorching hot romance, intrigue, suspense, thrills, chills, and lots of twists and turns." ~USA Today and Wall Street Journal Best Selling Author, Lisa Regan

An unknown past threatens her future...

After losing her mother, Bailey Morton faces cleaning out her family’s Lake Tahoe home. What she finds amongst the dust shatters the image of what she always considered an ordinary life with her ordinary family. Her true identity unknown, Bailey plows headlong into a dangerous journey of deception and death to find the real reason behind her abandonment, and why her parents kept her adoption a secret.

When Bailey’s boyfriend refuses to help, she turns to her best friend, Ryan, for support. As the pair digs into her past, the bond between them deepens to an unexpected level. For Bailey, facing long-buried family skeletons is easy compared to coming to terms with her feelings for Ryan. As Ryan and Bailey grow closer to discovering her family’s darkest secret, they realize somebody will stop at nothing to keep the secret buried… even if that means burying her.

Finding Bailey is an emotional roller coaster ride. As the author takes you through an intense story of kidnapping, abandonment and angst. The heroine must come to grip with a past she knew nothing about. Bailey and Ryan are just friends having grown up together as next door neighbors. They spent as much time in each other's homes as they did their own. Small town living at its best and worst with everyone knowing each other. When Helen Bailey's mom died everything came crushing down.

Character development and storyline will keep you riveted to your seat as you try to keep up with the twists and turns of the story. All of the characters are true to life and you will not want this book to end. The author is a story teller of the first order and you will want to read more of her books. The pace and rhythm of the book comes to a convincing end and was not rushed.

I was so happy to learn Dana Mason had a new romantic suspense novel in the works! I loved her Embrace series and could hardly wait to read another romance with enough suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat while I forgot about the rest of the world.

Finding Bailey does NOT disappoint. It’s got everything: great characters you really care about, a compelling story line with a lot of dark twists, some surprises and heavy family baggage, a nasty ex-boyfriend. And then there’s Ryan, who quickly became one of my favorite boyfriends! It’s hard not to cheer for Ryan and Bailey as they deal with Bailey’s past, her present danger, and the growing realization that the two of them are made for each other.

Mason creates a community of caring friends, the kind of people you want to have supporting you (and Mason does such a good job describing her characters that they do feel like friends.) I did not want this book to end, and I hope to see Bailey and Ryan again soon, along with the rest of their Lake Tahoe friends. Let’s hope Finding Bailey is the first of a series!

Not a bad read but also not great.
Long, overly dramatic at times. Not really romantic or suspenseful.
Lots of exaggerated drama way too much for me.

Dana Mason is my favorite romantic suspense author. She doesn't disappoint with Finding Bailey. When we meet Bailey, she is cleaning out her mother's home after her death. Among her mother's possessions lies an earth-shattering secret. Bailey has to unearth all the secrets her family hid from her, even if it means putting herself in grave danger. Her boyfriend thinks this is a terrible idea, so Bailey turns to her best friend, Ryan for help and support. Everything awesome you would be looking for in a book ensues. Finding Bailey has it all: scorching hot romance, intrigue, suspense, thrills, chills, and lots of twists and turns. This book has a wonderfully gripping, original, and fascinating mystery at its heart as well as a romance to give you all the feels. The characters are complex and well-drawn. This book is sure to evoke a wide range of emotions. You'll be sucked in from the first page and even after the last page, you'll be wishing for more!

4 stars for Finding Bailey. Haven't we all felt that we didn't belong at some time in our lives? Bailey never felt that until after the death of her parents when she found out that not only was she adopted, she had been abandoned in the snow as a baby. Thank goodness for her best friend Ryan who is there for her whatever she needs. The story unfolds with several twists and turns and betrayals. Would love more stories of Bailey and Ryan's friends because we all need friends like these.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I love that it had a mystery involved with the love story. It made it so much better. I also love that it had a happy ending but was pretty realistic as well. Great read!

Emotions are a strange thing. This story has highs and lows of happy & sad but that makes you want to see how the characters evolve & who is really the bad guy.
