My Forever, My Always: Men of Crooked Bend Book 1 Kindle Edition
Simon Redfeather not only runs Wild Creek Ranch with his brothers and cousins, he’s also the family’s lawyer. Although he loves working with the Appaloosas they raise and train, spending evenings going over business deals is not how he wants to spend his life. He wants more—someone to share it with. But living in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming doesn’t provide the best opportunities to meet someone.
Sean Welsh could have chosen to stay in California and accepted the life of privilege he was born into, but he and his twin wanted to make their own way. When they open an architectural firm in Wyoming, Sean never expected his newest client to be a sexy cowboy that he couldn’t keep his eyes off.
The attraction is instant, but are Simon and Sean willing to risk taking a chance in order to find happiness? When tragedy strikes, their newfound relationship is put to the test, and they realize that even in darkness, their love is lasting.
My Forever, My Always is the first book in the Men of Crooked Bend series. Each book in the series will focus on a different couple but will be better enjoyed as a series as the couples all make appearances in future books. Each book is intended for adults over 18.

About the author

The Men of Crooked Bend Series is my first published series and those Redfeather men will always have a special place in my heart. It was incredibly difficult to let those men go. It was originally supposed to be a trilogy but it ended up as an eleven-book series. In the Men of Crooked Bend series, you get to know the cowboys and other men of Wild Creek Ranch in Crooked Bend, Wyoming (a totally fictitious town). The series is set in the foothills of the Grand Teton Mountains, a place I fell in love with as a teenager.
Sulfur Springs is a closely related spin-off series to the Men of Crooked Bend. In it you leave Wild Creek Ranch and go to the little neighbor town of Sulfur Springs and meet the sexy men of the Sulfur Springs Fire Depart, the sheriff's department, as well as quite a few US Marshals. You see some familiar faces but you also meet some very new ones. It’s a complete series and has nine books to round off that world in a twenty-book world.
I love to read, it’s always been one of my favorite things to do since I can remember. When I started writing, I couldn't decide if I wanted to write contemporary or paranormal as I love both. I chose contemporary but still, paranormal was talking to me and those darn shifters kept saying, “tell our story, it’ll be fun.” So I did. And it was. That’s how I started what’s turned into Edison’s world. lol
It starts with the bears of the Honey Creek Den series. Honey Creek is another totally fictitious town set on Flathead Lake (a real place) in Montana. I've never been there, but hope to get there at some point. Honey Creek Den is finished with the planned six books. The Timber Valley Wolf Pack is the second series in that world and is also finished with six books. After the bears and wolves, I of course needed to give you Edison and his warlocks! The Warlocks of Amherst Series takes us away from the den and pack and we get to travel to Amherst, Massachusetts for some fun. The Vampires of the Beloved Gem follow Master Nikolai and his wayward vampires as they float up and down the Mississippi River in their riverboat casino. The Paranormal Council Enforcers is where we’ve ended up, and it is my current series. We’re meeting all kinds of enforcers who are busy dealing with evil while trying to win the affections of their fated mates.
When I'm not busy drinking coffee and writing about warlocks, vampires, wolves, or dragons (to name just a few), I like to read (who doesn't?). Because of my limited free time, I’m fond of short stories and novellas. I can be found on Amazon, Book Bub, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2025We get an awesome opener for this series, with introducing the cast of characters, the families, and our men are getting their first meeting.
Simon is a cowboy, and Sean is the Architect for the ranch’s new construction. The pull was instant, and feelings mutual. We have romance, hot sexiness, and a kidnapping/torture of a family member.
So it’s love, action, justice and recovery.
The wrap up is sweet and we get a peek at what comes next.
This series will be marvelous.
ENJOY !

- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2017I was looking forward to this book for a while, I've been following it on Facebook. Did I love it? No, but I really liked it. I loved the M/C's, and the secondary characters also. The storyline was good and the setup for future books was well covered, maybe too much for one couple, so I'm assuming they will either be a novella or won't get a book at all, actually now I think about it there is graham also. On a personal note, I hate waiting, so whatever is going on with Rhett is driving me nuts (just sayin). The grammar drove me nuts at first, but the author explains it eventually by way of his nationality, it was still stilted and I hate reading it like that. Overall an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to the next book, hopefully Rhett's.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2017This is the story of Sean and Simon.
Sean is a man who has decided that he is over the club scene and is ready to find a man to have a relationship with.
Simon is a man who has no problems still going out to the club to have a good time but he has been thinking lately that he is ready for more.
Simon's family hires Sean and his brother's architect firm to help with a project on their ranch and while Sean has no intention of getting involved with a client Simon has other plans.
Simon and Sean have a few struggles along the way but they ultimately find their HEA.
Taylor Rylan does a fantastic job with her characters and she draws you in and has you cheering for them from page one.
I highly recommend this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2023Simon works with horses at his family's large Wyoming ranch. He's never been the type to sleep around, but he's 30 years old now and realizes that he's lonely. He's ready to find his forever man, but he lives in a fairly remote area, so it may be difficult. When he spots an attractive man at a bar, he goes in to make a move, but gets sidetracked and goes home. He's surprised the next day to see the man again at a business meeting with his identical twin, Sean. He finds that he's much more attracted to the whole package of Sean than his twin. It feels like something potentially serious.
Sean is also not one for the hook-up culture and he also is ready to settle down. When he first lays eyes on Simon, he's immediately attracted. It takes them a little while to communicate and sort out their mutual interests, but once they do, their relationship takes off.
This book is also a set-up for the series, so there are a lot of side stories with many other characters. Also, the book is in need of some editing, as there are more errors than typical. The book has a lot of passion, a deep commitment, and a beautiful love.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2017Half way threw the book it's just white over the writing. I had to change the color on my background to read the rest of the book. I read in the black background with white words. It starts messing up in chapter 19 other than that the book is a great read that's why i gave it five stars cause if i was going by what's going on when whom ever put the book out they messed up the books print half way threw. Then i would've giving the book three stars cause of that Hugh problem cause it's threw out the rest of the book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2023Wow what a great story Simon sees a hot guy at a bar only to see he's taken, but it gave Simon a visual of who clicked his buttons, and then to meet the guy better yet twins of his dreams face to face. Sean knows its love at first sight when he he meets his client but can he stay away until there job is is done? No way he's going for it
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2018Absolutely wonderful, this was definitely a must read, written by an Author who knows how to keep you turning those pages! This is a beautiful love story, lot's of interesting characters, mystery and Cowboys. There are four books in the series and I'm on to the next book 2! Many thanks, Honey Bee 🐝📚💙🎶
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2020First: I've read several reviews mentioning editing and formatting issues. These issues seem to be solved in the second edition that's out now. I didn't notice any issue (although I should mention that I'm not a native speaker). Furthermore I loved this story, the world building and development of the characters. I also liked the action, twists and turns. Can't wait to read the next story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
I think this is gonna be a great series! We get I introduced to do many characters and get invested in them as much as the main MCs. This will definitely be a series you need to read in order because I have a feeling some of these will overlap timeline wise.

4.0 out of 5 stars i bought it on the recommendation of another much loved author and i did really enjoy it and i'm ...
i kinda hovered between 4 and 5 stars with this one.i bought it on the recommendation of another much loved author and i did really enjoy it and i'm looking forward to the next book.however there were large chunks of time that were kind of glossed over with things like "they'd been dating for a couple of months now" which sort of dissappointed me a little.the character/family building was awesome but i'm not sure if there was almost too much information about some characters.i'm really looking forward to the next book in the series though and i'd definitely recommend this as a ggod read.
