- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2022I know I've said this many times but I can’t help it, I really do love complex books.
And this is an exact example of a book that doesn’t run away from controversial jabs or unpopular opinions.
The author’s bold approach and ability to tackle difficult topics in a sensible way made this such an interesting book for me.
We follow Jamie on this difficult, painful and ever-relatable journey of self-discovery.
Having come from a perilous home-life Jamie’s hardship continues for a long while to come but his will to live and fierce determination makes him a commendable character that you cannot help but root for.
The story was compelling and well-paced with a host of equally well-written characters.
Butch was awesome and exactly the kind-heated, beautiful soul that Jamie deserved after everything he’d been through.
The size difference and lace panties elevated the undeniable heat between these two and raised the steam to scorching levels.... 🔥🥵🔥
This story has quite a few triggers, and may be difficult for some so please heed the warnings.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2019I loved the story itself and especially the main characters.
I hated what happened to the two characters that saved Jamie.
I loved the support Jamie received from Butch’s parents.
The manner in which the author wrote the story, delivered it in such a way, that sometimes it had a very clinical and dry delivery. Almost like the emotions didn’t flow naturally.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2019I knew going into this story that I was in for an emotional read and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride! TL has a way of pulling you into the world she creates in her stories and you literally live the lives of her characters. I deeply felt what Jamie survived and boy did I ache for his circumstances. It was a brutally honest story with so many emotions on every page. TL put it all in there and left me wanting more at the end. This was a great read and I'd also recommend you reading Greyson Fox before this. Both are excellent stories!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2023I first read Greyson Fox years ago and loved it and waited patiently for the author to write another book. Well this is that book. Jamie is a 15 year old boy who is beaten by his father for being gay and is dropped off at the bus station with a one way ticket to Seattle. Jamie meets many characters throughout this book, some who help him, and some who hurt him as he struggles to survive. After 4 long years Jamie finally meets Daniel and Marcus who take him in and become the family he never really had. There are multiple triggers in this book so heed the warnings. Throughout the book Jamie experiences pain, hate, friendship, and finally love. This is an absolutely amazing book and I highly recommend it and Greyson Fox. I'm going to need a few days to recover now but it is worth every page.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2019Sometimes being a so called sinner can end with a wonderful payoff....love. Jamie and Butch are made for each other and to read Jamie's story. Loved it.

An entertaining enough story about a young abused teen banished from his home by his homophobic father who, through a series of ups and downs succeeds in turning his life around with the help of other gay friends and an ex- military man who protects him.
The major, and I mean major, flaw I had with this book is the too numerous to count editorial and proofreading errors. They drove me bonkers and took away so much from the plot. For those of you who read my reviews, you know this area is a huge thorn in my side when reading a book. There were even words either missing or left unfinished. Ugh!
Had it not been for that issue, I would have happily given this book a higher rating, but spending the extra time decifering the text totally affected me negatively.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2022Forgive Me Father is the second book in the Grayson Fox Saga. This is Jamie's story from Grayson Fox. Jamie is shunned and cast aside. I wanted to hug him, no one should have gone through what he did. He meets Butch. They slowly build up to a relationship. Jamie believes Butch is different, he'll be someone important to him. This story hooked me as soon as I picked it up, broke me in a couple of places, but also healed me. Overall, an outstanding story. Well written, highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2022Very intense story that covers physical and sexual abuse of children, namely Jamie. His family are awful and knowingly send him to be abused after he is beaten by his father. Then he is abandoned and further abused. The lost boys are so sad. I wish we found out what happened to them. I love Jamie finding people to truly be his family, but he also experiences such loss. I love him with Butch and getting more family in addition to eventually getting part of his bio family back. Butch’s family are so great. There are some big time jumps that are announced, but the way they are done doesn’t flow as smoothly as they could.

5.0 out of 5 stars My soul and heaet hurt and rejoiced for Jamie
!Triggers apply and do need to be taken seriously as mentioned by the author
After having listened to the first book Greyson Fox a while ago, I started off by re-listening to that audio to get back into the storyline. I remembered that book hurt my soul a bit with the hurt and rejoiced later on. I can safely say after reading this second book, after it had sat on my tbr for to long, I felt the same and at times thought, how much can one person handle. The author really dragged me into the story from the first page onwards.
This second book has a huge overlap of the story told in Greyson Fox, but is told from Jamie his POV. The book, as the second in the saga, has a similar story set up as book one: in the earlier chapters we follow Jamie as a child, who was abused and used by his birth parents and a leader in his parents church. And neglected and ignored by all that could and should have interviened. The story gets even more traction and desperation when he is kicked out of his birth homeat fifteen by his birth father, after being severly been beaten by said man and discharged from hospital, with a one way busticket to Seattle.
He first finds , a kind of friendship and heartship with a few other under age boys who all have their own harrowing stories. And not all survive their past and ongoing abuse and trauma
Circumstances and the group changes and in dire need to irn money he turns to doing sexwork, which progresses but later on goves him more control. But nothing goes ever smoothly so one night he almost losses his life, but that night is also the turning point in his life.
The second part starts when he finds honest hard working people in Daniel and Marcus (supporters of LGBT causes) who give him a chance with respect, protection, a place to be safe and help to cope with all his trauma by a therapist and through friendship.
He starts to thrive and finding his love for dance again and making a good living. But nothing is every ease in Jamie his lve. He still enncounters trauma and loss, but above all he is a survivor who even finds the live of his life in Butch and enjoys his found family.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't expecting that!
I was very surprised by this book pleasantly so. It was well written and a good read. It was hard at times but Jamie's character made it all worth while.
Jamie is kicked out and alone at fifteen and has a terrible time finding his footing.
When the most awful thing happens and he's ready to give up someone steps forward with a helping hand.
This is the story of strength and determination and it's hard but well worth the read. I will definitely be looking for this author again.
