5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on how to be a freelancer I have read.
This book delivers what most books on the subject do not.
A very useful book to have.

4.0 out of 5 stars An informative and inspiring read
I'm a freelance writer and I have had some articles published, but I want to build on this, and so I found Susie's book very informative. It gave me some new ideas. I also appreciated Susie's honesty, as she shares her own experiences. That, combined with a friendly tone makes for an interesting read. Susie's passion for writing comes across, and her tenacity, which ultimately has led to her being able to follow her dream of writing for a living. This gives me hope that I'll be able to give up the day job in time. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book delivers what other similar books promise, but fail to deliver.
As a complete beginner (some might say dreamer) in the world of writing articles, I'd bought several books in the hope they would give me a clearer understanding about all the different aspects of researching, structuring, editing, pitching and marketing etc etc, but none of them did.
After joining twitter and following Susie's tweets, I decided to buy the print copy of this book. It's fully up to date and delivers all the things the other books didn't.
What impressed me was the apparent honesty in relation to her own journey to becoming a successful freelancer, the details of how much income she generates was of particular interest. Overall, this is a candid, informative and useful tool for any aspiring article writer/ freelancer/ blogger to have by their side.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and informative
I read this book as a suggestion from a fellow person on Twitter. It's very good and has useful tips in it about becoming a freelance writer. Would recommend it to anyone who would like to follow in Susie's footsteps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Susie Kearley seems to be of the same mind as ...
Susie Kearley seems to be of the same mind as me regarding payment and approaching print and higher-paying markets first. It makes such a refreshing change to read a book that isn’t full of doom and gloom regarding the financial state of publishing and writing these days. This book will be staying on my virtual bookshelf, rather than being deleted, and I'll dip into it over and over again.
