Katie Wyatt is 25% American Sioux Indian. Born and raised in Arizona, she has traveled and camped extensively through California, Arizona, Nevada, Mexico, and New Mexico. Looking at the incredible night sky and the giant Saguaro cacti, she has dreamed of what it would be like to live in the early pioneer times.

Spending time with a relative of the great Wyatt Earp, also named Wyatt Earp, Katie was mesmerized and inspired by the stories he told of bygone times. This historical interest in the old West became the inspiration for her Western romance novels.

Her books are a mixture of actual historical facts and events mixed with action and humor, challenges and adventures. The characters in Katie’s clean romance novels draw from her own experiences and are so real that they almost jump off the pages. You feel like you’re walking beside them through all the ups and downs of their lives. This book's storyline was okay. Hannah's character was okay. John's character was okay. Hannah & John got on my nerves in this story. I liked the children. I liked the ending.

    I liked the book. Hannah lives in New York and is a member of the Temperance movement. She is a widow and has used up just about all of her savings.She decides to become a Mail Order Bride and answers John;s letter in California. When she arrives she finds out that John has three young children and is expecting her to take charge immediately. Hannah thought she would be able to bring the Temperance movement to the West, but John has other ideas.

    Hannah lived in New York, her husband died in the civil war fighting with the Yankees. She is a religious woman and frowned on drinking, she started a group of Christian women to teach about the wickedness of drinking.
    She is now broke and decided to wed a man from California. His letters said he was all for a outspoken woman. She arrived and three little children crowded her asking is she was going to be their mum. Needless to say this is not what she was planning when she stepped off the train.

    Great story. No adult situations.. I enjoyed this book.
