His Christmas Present (Christmas Wishes Book 3) Kindle Edition
Megan Green fell in love with Dion Wallace when she was nine years old, but she hasn’t seen him since she was fifteen when he moved from New Zealand to the UK to be with his father. Meeting up with him in Prague eight years later is both a surprise and a relief when he rescues her during one of her panic attacks. On the rebound after a breakup, she turns to Dion for comfort and some hot sex, and he’s happy to oblige. But when the night ends, they’re both certain it’s the last time they’ll ever see each other.
A year later, however, Dion’s life is falling apart. After a decade of hard work, he thought he was next in line to be CEO of the family company, but his father surprises everyone by giving the job to one of his half-brothers. Angry and hurt by his dad’s betrayal, Dion books the first available flight to New Zealand, hoping a few weeks away might give him some perspective. And if he manages to hook up with Megan again while he’s there, he figures that might be the medicine he needs.
Megan’s brother—and Dion’s best mate when they were young—hasn’t told her Dion’s coming. It’s not clear who’s the most shocked when they finally meet. It’s supposed to be a time for miracles, but is Megan’s surprise Christmas present another betrayal Dion cannot forgive?

From the Inside Flap
She forced the wave of panic down as if it were a large dog trying to jump up at her. You can cope, you're strong enough to deal with anything now. Her inner voice sounded weak and feeble in her head, but she made herself repeat the words until the panic receded. It seemed like minutes, but must only have been ten seconds or so.
Slowly, she opened her eyes.
Dion hadn't moved. He stood three feet in front of her, looking calm and cool in his chinos and crisp white shirt. Was it really him, here in New Zealand? Surely he hadn't come straight from the airport? He could have arrived off a Milan catwalk, with his Ray-Ban sunglasses resting on the top of his brushed back dark hair, and his flashy watch.
Jeez, the guy was gorgeous, mouth wateringly so. She'd dreamed about him so often, but her imagination hadn't matched up to the real thing. Thoughts spun in her brain like a child's windmill in the wind. Last time she'd seen him, they'd had the hottest sex of her life. She'd always suspected he'd be great in bed, and he certainly hadn't disappointed. She'd fantasised about sleeping with him since the age of fifteen. It had been a dream come true that moment when he'd seen her as a woman, not as Sean's sister. The memory of the desire that had bloomed in his eyes brought goose bumps out all over her skin.
But he wasn't looking at her like that now. Though he seemed calm, his shock was evident. He was staring at her as if she held a baby Martian.
Sean and Gaby moved to either side of them so they stood in a square. "All right, love?" Sean asked warily.
She ignored him. He'd engineered this. She wanted to punch his lights out. Dion ran his gaze down her, then back to the baby in her arms before returning to her face. He looked at her, but when he spoke, he directed the words to Sean and his wife. "You two didn't tell me you'd recently had another baby."
His deep, rich voice sent a shiver down her spine as she remembered him murmuring sexy demands to her in that hotel room, things she'd never thought she'd do with a man, let alone him. But his heated stare challenged them all to accept or deny his statement, and she forced the memory away.
Gaby looked worried, Sean wary. Dion's glare showed her that, clearly, he'd done the math.
Her mouth went dry. She'd thought this moment might come, but she'd also thought she would be able to prepare herself. Still, she couldn't do anything about it now. She had to face the loud and potentially overwhelming music.
Thanks, big brother.
"Harry isn't Sean's," she said, surprised to find her voice stronger than she'd thought it would be. "He's my son."
She met Dion's hazel eyes. Pity swept through her. This was a shock for her, but it must be an even bigger shock for him. "And yours," she said. She paused before adding in a quieter voice, "I'm sorry you had to find out like this."
Everyone fell silent.
They stayed silent for a full twenty seconds, during which time Dion's eyes turned from icy to hurt, and eventually to flat, emotionless mirrors, causing her heart to crumple in on itself like a dying star.
Then he turned and walked out.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2021Reunited after eight years two childhood friends spend a night making passionate love only to return to their own lives the next day. Dion has no time in his busy career driven life to have a girlfriend much less one who lives halfway around the world. He had made that clear to his childhood best friend's little sister. Megan was on the rebound from a dispassionate engagement when she was surprised to run in to her childhood crush and spend one night experiencing ardent love making. Megan would love more, but Dion was clear he was not interested in pursuing a relationship while focusing on advancing his career. Therefore, when little Harry came into the world Megan was hesitant to inform Dion of the birth of his child. What happens when Dion decides to spend a holiday with his good buddy Sean (Megan's brother)? That's answered in His Christmas Present which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good holiday, brother's best friend, unexpected/ secret baby romance. This heartwarming story is told in third person prose flashing back and forth from Christmas Present to Christmas Past and ending with Christmas Future. The characters reside in United Kingdom and Australia so spelling and vocabulary reflect those locations.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2016I enjoyed this book. This story is about Megan Green and Dion Wallace. Megan had been in a 'young girl's' love with him since she was nine years old and at fifteen she knew she would love him for the rest of her life. Dion was very attracted to the fifteen year old Megan but was forced to move across the country to live with his father. He didn't keep in touch with Megan as he knew it could never go anywhere since they lived thousands of miles away from one another. What he didn't know was that she would have moved to be with him if only he had asked.
They ran into each other nine years later when she was on holiday and he was on a business trip and the sparks were more like a flash fire. They gave into their attraction and spent one night together. She was quite certain he would call her after their explosive time but he didn't. When his world turns upside down he calls Meg's brother, his one time best friend, and asks if he could come for a visit to sort out his life. He's hoping to see Megan again.
Megan has no idea he's coming. When he steps out onto the deck to greet her after his arrival Megan turns around at the sound of his voice. She is shocked to see him a year after their night together and he is dumbstruck to see the bundle in her arms. He's shocked and speechless and not very happy. I might add that the hero was not very likable once he realizes he has a child and he's somewhat of an a$$ to the mother of his child.
A good read that I definitely recommend. I wish he would have showed more interest in his son sooner but I give this author BIG bonus points for Dion staying celibate during the year apart.

*explicit sexual content and language*
The premise of the story was sweet. Half is a flashback to their meeting in Prague and the majority of that portion is all sex. I read the first parts with them reconnecting and skipped over the rest. I would have ranked the book higher with more story focused on Dion and Megan's relationship rather than descriptive sex. The real story is Dion accepting not knowing he was a father and deciding what he wanted for his future. This ended just over the halfway point on my kindle.
BONUS NOVELLA
Hamish McIntyre has returned home from war wounded and unable to remember anything of the last ten years, including Rose, the girl he loved but who didn’t want to be an Army wife. Rose comes to visit him and before long, they’re back where they started—in love and pulled in opposite directions by his life in the military. Once again, Hamish has to choose between Rose and the Army.
I enjoyed this story. Military romances are dear to me, I understand them all too well. Life in the forces is never easy for either party. There is a flashback chapter with their first sexual encounter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Christmas story
This was my second book by Serenity Woods and I can say I truly do enjoy reading her books.
His Christmas Present is a perfect, sweet, standalone Christmas story with a HEA. I felt the story had a good pace, with enough drama involved to keep you on edge and wanting to keep reading until the end. I liked the dual points of views as it allowed you to keep up with both characters and I was also happy that the book didn’t ever feel like it was being dragged out just for the sake of it; it was concise and to the point always.
If you are looking for a relatively short but full length story with a HEA, I would definitely suggest you give this story a try!

super süß geschreiben! Es gibt zwar nur wenige Handlungen und Schuplätze aber dafür sind die Dialoge und Personen um so komplexer und witziger ! Einfach gut!
