It was just another day in the coffeeshop when Shawn’s world turned upside down. The ambiance was usually more than enough inspiration, but when Edwin walks into the coffeeshop for the first time, lyrics and melody seem to come with him. Shy and sometimes strange, Edwin steps cautiously into Shawn’s life. The longer the couple are together, the more Shawn realizes that there's something more to Edwin, hidden in the mystery of his monthly treks to visit his family outside the city. The secret seems equal parts obvious and impossible, and Shawn knows that once it’s put into words everything about their relationship will change. But every moment Shawn spends with Edwin convinces him that he’ll always love Edwin with all his heart.
Even if he discovers his lover isn't entirely human.

Heart-Shaped Fire is a M/M paranormal romance with a steamy, werewolf love story and an HEA. This story does not contain mpreg, omegaverse, or fated-mates (much love to stories that do!) It does have a super sweet couple who get thrown into a bit of excitement plus a twist on werewolves and marking their chosen mates.

    It was kind of ok what Edward did to Shawn but should have been explained about it. When he bit Shawn stopped the other pack from doing what they wanted to happen. Everything ended great! Couldn’t put the book down when I started reading, had to keep reading to see what happened next!

    This was a great start to a new shifter/supernatural MM series in this book out couple is Edwin a wolfen and his human mate our couple meet at a coffee shop after getting too know one another they realize that their falling madly in love with each other . But all is not what it seems between falling in love to rival packs our couple will have too fight for their love . Looking forward to the next book in this series .

    I have mixed feelings about this book. I expected more and thus was disappointed. There was a disconnect with the flow and the transitions. Which didn’t add and help the story but took away from it. The story itself was good and I liked it. I thought that the last half of the book was better than the first from a writing standpoint. The story is told from Shawn’s POV. I would have also liked it if the characters were developed more. I am glad that I read this book even though it didn’t entirely work for me. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

    i loved this story. it was different and unique and funny.. it made me smile and made me sad.. it was well written and an awesome plot. it was a slow start but once it caught it took off and i had to turn the page as fast as i could to keep reading. loved it

    Wow, what a fun read! Wonderful world-building, well developed characters and a great story-line. I enjoyed the writing and the flow of the story kept me reading from cover to cover.

    Shawn and Edwin have a connection that is intense, intimate and inspiring. I loved how they grew together and found their own rhythm.

    Definitely not your average shifter storyline. Along with shifting there is a bit pf magic, though that element is only touched on and no detail is ever provided. The book ends on a positive note with no resolution for several of the story threads. It’s OK but I felt a bit abandoned at the end.

    Could definitely use some more proof reading and editing, but the storyline was good. Nothing extraordinary or shocking, it's predictable and just like any other paranormal. I would have liked to fall in love with Shawn and Edwin more.
