    This is a sweet story that fits the love and joy of the Christmas spirit. Short stories are hard to get right because it must be composed briefly but fully. This is well done and very enjoyable.

    This is a short novella that even taking my time only took me around an hour to complete and was originally published in 2020 limited edition anthology, O NIGHT DIVINE: A Holiday Collection of Spirited Christmas Tales...

    It is also connected to Mary Lancaster's "Season of Scandal" series as the heroine is the sister/sister-in-law of the couple from book one, PURSUED BY THE RAKE. From what I could gather this story appears to take place more than two years later.

    I actually remember both Emma and Selim from that book so I was very excited to read their romance here. I thought their love story was really unique as well as it combined a Christian heroine with a Muslim hero. There was a little added excitement when another of Emma's suitors unexpectedly arrives at her home for the Christmas holiday too.

    Overall I enjoyed this brief but beautiful story although I'd be lying if I said I did not want more for our couple. I loved these two together though and was beyond happy to see them finally become one. It's also clean (kisses only) but I felt a deep and abiding connection between Emma and Selim and didn't need an obligatory sex scene to prove it.

    In the end I found this to be a very festive and lovely romance and one I'm glad I read. I've no doubt those familiar with the series will like this story but it can also be read as a standalone and at any time of the year too 😊

    Emma & Selim's Story was ok. It really didn't grab my attention then came to an abrupt end.

    I purchased this as a multi author bundle called O'Night Devine.

    This was a unique story about our h who is Christian and falls in love with her brother's friend who is Muslim and a Prince. There is no uproar about their different cultures. Only thing mentioned is how far away the h will be . Having this same situation in my family, in the 21st Century, it wasn't easy. The H was very opened to go to church services with the family to learn, which was very opened minded of him.

    Clean story, there is another man wanting to marry the h and he causes some drama. No cheating, HEA, feelings come across without the spice. (ljb)
