Alien and paranormal romances are not usually my thing, but I keep reading about this series and decided to give it a try.
The first book in the Zandian Masters series introduced us to Zander, the prince of the Zandians, an all but obliterated race. We also meet Lamira, a human, a species which has now been enslaved by another. Zander knows he has to breed, to get his race going again, and his doctor finds Lamira. But there is a lot to learn about each other, differences, surprises, emotions. Not to mention stubbornness and secrets. Can they overcome all of that and live with each other in peace, if not love?
This book is equal parts sex and story. An enjoyable read, it’s definitely a lot of sex, as well as bondage, as the title might indicate. Renee Rose writes a good story, though, and weaves in the very hot sex with the very interesting plot. I’ll be continuing this series, I think.

I kind of goofed and read the Bride series first but it didn't ruin it for me. I liked Lamira in the Bride books but didn't know her story. Now I do. What a story.
If Zandians are stubborn and love to punish they're women, then Zander is the prince\king of all that. Literally! He took great pains at that past time. Its not my cup of tea and maybe not yours but if you read it, take a chance on something new, you'll love it! I only wish the author would give us more time after they finally meld. These couples are so perfect together. I can't wait to see how the Doctor will respond and handle his human! I also wish that the author would give them a human where their formula for keeping their human in line didn't work. After all we are different people.

This is a BDSM light and a forced breeding story. What I like is the way the author shows how the Hero cares about the heroine. I devour these stories in one sitting, they are fun, erotic shorter stories. However what disturbed me in this one, is that the heroine is a slave, she's purchased as a breeding slave (duh, its in the title) but in the end of the book, he wants her as his... mate? I think? He wants to pierce her with crystals. However, she still wears her slave collar, he only puts crystals in it. I'm not sure this really is a happy ever after ending in the long run. She remains unequal and not his Queen/Princess and a ruler at his side.

Some spoilers from here:

Even in later stories where they show up, she's STILL wearing the slave collar and anyone that sees her THINKS she is a slave. She is his mate (maybe?) but anyone that sees her, thinks first she is his slave. Even when Zander bans slavery... she's still wearing the slave collar. What? If this is part of their "play" still... put it on when she's in the bedroom. Let her be your queen. She's going to be the mother of your child.

There is also a later story where Zander, the Hero, is going to be offered another female to breed so.... again... is Lamira his mate or not? Is it normal to have multiple partners? Lamira doesn't seem to matter at all. Yes he uses her abilities to his advantage but the more I think about it, the more I'm just not seeing the HEA. But if you look at it as just a breeding story - its fine.

Other stories in this series have a clear - we are mates we are together - ending so... just not sure on this one.

The first sexual interaction in the book was not great. Wish it had been done differently. Liked the set up, just didn't have a good overall follow through.

This I would not take points off, but Lamira - the name - sounded too much like a female body part to my liking. Just hated the name. Her mother and her sisters name also started with L, all too similar.

For those who enjoy a spicy Alien romance, you won't he disappointed with this book. It's the story of an alien Prince who's species is on the brink of extinction. Lamira is a human slave who is sold to the Prince Zander as the best genetic match for procreation. If dubious consent, spankings or punishment upset you in any way, the isn't the book for you.

I liked the storyline and the alien universe created by Ms. Rose. This book is hot in the right places, has the sweetest HEA and it establishes the bases for a great series featuring the Zandians.

I became aware of this book while browsing Amazon, as some readers were appalled by the aspect of enslavement and violence. Now that I've read it, I can't tell. It's a well-written Sci-Fi alien romance with some BDSM aspects to it. I found some of the author's ideas, such as the rainbow colors, the crystals or the sensors, to be quite nice and entertaining.

I came a bit late to this series - not sure why as I am a big fan of Renee Rose. The upside of coming late to the series is that you don't have to wait for the next book to be published, you can jump right in and binge read. And a binge read is well worth it! His Human Slave is a great read, interesting sexy characters working out their differences and I particularly liked Lamira coming into her own special power.

The rest of the series is already a must read!

His Human Slave is the first book in the Zandian Masters Series by Renee Rose. It is an Alien Romance/ Sci-Fi story with pet play, capture fantasy, humiliation and discipline, BDSM, and is a red hot, kinky, and fun read.
This story really was a lot of fun to read. It was the perfect ‘palette cleanser’ in-between a few somewhat tedious reads. I am somewhat new to the alien romance, but it’s pulled me into the vortex and I can’t get enough of the Alien Warrior Romances. I have discovered that Ms. Rose produces some of the best ones I have read.
Lamira Taniaka is a human slave working on an agri farm. She has spent her life as a slave, always hiding her abilities from the authorities. You see she is Claircognizant, having the ability to ‘know’ certain things without being told- whether it be about a person, situation, or the future. These kind of ‘abnormal’ abilities are not tolerated on the world where she lives, and anyone found to be different, is put to death. So far, she and her mother have managed to keep her from gaining any unwanted attention- that is until she is sold to a Zandian Prince and whisked off to his pod.
Zander is the wealthy and well connected Zandian Prince. He is far from his home planet which was conquered by another alien race. With most of his kind exterminated when the planet was taken, Zander is desperate to liberate his planet, and return to his homeland. He has worked tirelessly towards making that happen. But, to ensure the Zandian race doesn’t die out, it is his duty to procreate and seeing there are no suitable Zandian women for him to choose from, his physician has gone about finding a suitable breeding partner using DNA matching.
Zander is not impressed when his DNA is matched with a human slave. Humans were the lowest lifeforms on the social strata- he didn’t think she would be suitable at all. But time was running out and he wasn’t left with much choice. What happens when they meet? What will Lamira think of being disciplined? What happens when her secret is discovered? Add danger, intrigue, drama and a bit of mystery- and this story really takes off.
I read it in one sitting, I was captivated by everything I was reading. I had to know what was going to happen. I loved the characters, they were so well developed that they were entirely believable. Ms. Rose’s world building skills are superb- I was in another Galaxy, far, far away- seeing all the wonders before me. Lamira and Zander were great together, their chemistry was electrifying. Not to mention the panty melting bedroom scenes.
I have already begun reading the other books in this fantastic series and if these first few books are anything to go by- this series is going to be incredible.

Zander is the last surviving young'un of all Zandians. He is their last hope for continuing their species. He is expected to breed when all he wants to do is fight. He wants to take back his planet from the alien invaders who massacred his people. But his duty must come before his wants. A DNA match is made with the human, Lamira, who, along with her mother, are agricultural slaves and Zander doesn't want her. What in the veck could he want with a human? They're liars and cheats and not to be trusted. So what makes Lamira so special?

This story was HOT!! A purple alien conquered his human slave in the most erotically pleasing ways. While Zander kept expecting the worst of Lamira, she was just trying to figure out a way to accept her new life. I enjoyed their journey and how the author gave them each such unique perspectives of their shared situation. Being able to see it from both sides was entertaining to say the least.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves hot aliens and their not quite submissive mates!
