His To Keep (Quintessentially Theirs Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 385 ratings

She’s the future Queen of Veronia.

I come from a notorious British family.

We’ve been best friends for as long as I can remember…

Until one day she broke us.

I woke up in Vegas, hungover and married.

Betrayed, I left her.

Hurt, I stayed away.

But then I almost died, and I realized she would always be mine to keep.

A royal, second chance, MF romance.

You may have read part of Tin and Alice's story in Hers to Hold, but this is a revised, reedited, and heavily extended version where you get to meet new characters and learn more about Veronian Christmas traditions, while getting a deeper look into Tin and Alice's love story!

Happy holidays!

Just yes! I love that the characters in this story come from RH families, but only want each other. It’s kind of adorable. It's a straightforward MF romance. I look forward to the next one releasing on 12/18.

I really enjoyed this Holiday story. The love story gave you the feels. It was swoony, angsty and definitely steamy. I even had a good laugh when one of Tin’s dads walks in at an inopportune time. Tin and Etta both took responsibility for the downfall of their relationship. Tin was so swoony, sexy and protective of Etta, the real Etta, not just the princess. Etta was a total badass. I loved her stubborn personality. Their relationship is so much more complicated, but I don't want to give too much away.

The gist: Tin and Etta have been best friends since they were kids. Their friendship turned into love, but they had to keep it a secret. Being a Royal isn’t easy for Etta, but luckily enough she has Tin. He is the only person that sees her for her. Etta, trying to prevent her life from being planned for her, makes a choice for both Tin and her. Betrayed, Tin stays away from her for four years. After a near death experience, Tin realizes he never should have left Etta and returns home to her. Tin not only returns to his love, Etta, but he also returns to an opposing group of radicals that are targeting Etta and her family.

**Serena’s series The Filthy Feckers is amazing. You should read it**

3.5 stars. A sweet story of two childhood friends who grew to lovers. Theirs is not an easy story, however, as complications derail their journey for a while. I enjoyed Tin & Etta's story and am looking forward to more in this series.

Tin did a vanishing act after Etta "tricked" him into marrying her in Vegas. He worked for MI6 and stayed away for 4 years. When he decides to return to the love of his life things just seem to go wrong all around.
Telling the parents that they were already married was actually funny, Tin's family took it well, Etta's family weren't very happy with the way they went through with it. After all Etta is a crown Princess, there are protocols that Tin should have gone through.
Throughout the book they faced trials and tribulations with danger always lurking in the shadows in Veronia with the UnReals. Tin's experience with MI6 came in handy throughout the storyline.
He was always very romantic when Etta would come down hard on him for keeping something from her, like that he knew how to use a gun, or that the day he showed up had to do with he had seen something he shouldn't have and he needed to make sure she was safe. I loved him telling Etta I would kill for you Etta.
I also loved when Tin admitted that "I wish I'd been half the man you needed back then to be worthy of all the woman you were." Confessing to Etta that was why he didn't stick around after the Vegas wedding. Admitting that he wasn't ready for the responsibility that came with being married to the crown princess of Veronia.
I absolutely loved this book, seeing Tin and Etta getting their happy ending and revisiting with their parents again. Although you don't need to read the Quintessence series or Theirs book. His to Keep is a stand alone book, no need to read their parents book.
Serena Akeroyd once again has given us a beautiful love story from one our favorite book series.

This is the story with Tin and Etta. Half the books chapters were taken from the last book in the series about Tins family. A few new details in added chapters that was new. Still a good read if you have not read the other series with the other characters.

Valentin and Alice. To him she will always be Etta. The future Queen and his forced wife. Not that he didn’t know it would happen but he didn’t ever expect that he would be led down the aisle with no memory of it. After realizing he freezes Etta out. For four long years. Now he is ready to step up and be the husband she needs. He is ready to stand by her side and be her consort. Their reunion isn’t without obstacles though. From their families to a secret organization determined to rip her family from the throne. Tin and Etta have always known them being together was end game. Now they just have to get to their happily ever after.

Serena thank you for making this next gen of the quints just as lovable as their parents!

His to Keep is a second generation story featuring Tin and Etta, the oldest children of Sascha and Perry from her Quintessence series. It is a MF not a reverse harem. The romance and storytelling by Serena does not disappoint. The chemistry between the two simmers throughout as they find their way to a fairytale ending.
Shortly after I started to read His to Keep, I remembered how much I enjoyed the humor from the original series. His to Keep is written in the same slightly quirky manner, light with humor while the romance develops with a hint of danger woven in. If you love Serena’s darker series, give this a try too.
My favorite thing about the story is how Serena let’s us revisit with the older generation through Tin’s and Etta’s interactions with their parents. Tin receives thoughtful though somewhat out of left field advice from his quirky, multi-talented fathers . Etta’s strained relationship with her royal parents is examined with new insight from her growing relationship with Tin.
Etta is a princess and initially it seems a woe is me storyline was in the making, but Serena adeptly steers away from this rabbit hole and we get a woman with depth.
Thanks for terrific story and I can’t wait to read His to Hold.

5.0 out of 5 stars 💕 Tin and Etta’s journey

Absolutely adored Quintessence. To read the next generation, catch up with Tin and Etta, was amazing.

Tin’s love and devotion was beautiful to witness.

“Etta’s my home. She always has been.”

These two were drawn to each other as children, it continued on until late teens and a very secret relationship which ended abruptly. While this was a second chance novel, it was a friends to lovers as well.

Tin saw in Etta what her family didn’t, Below the polished surface of the next in line for the crown.

“Her ability to blend in with her people was a strength that her family didn’t value enough.”

Etta equally adored Tin. Trapped in her Royal role, hiding her feelings for tin from even her family.

As Tin so aptly stated “Everyone’s just swimming along, trying not to drown.”

Suspense, drama and a sweet storyline wrapped up in the wonderful writing style of Ms. Akeroyd. This is a perfect Christmas read.

I was so excited to read His to Keep, book #1 in the next generation Quintessentially Theirs). A steamy, second chance romance set in Veronia.

This story follows on from The Quintessence collection and centres around Valentin (Tin) Dubois and his childhood friend Alice (Etta).

Alice is now the Crown Princess, but due her past error of judgement is estranged from Tin and they have to fight to regain their mutual trust, respect and love

We get to meet old favourites, Sascha and her 5 geniuses, Perry and her 3 Royal suitors.

During the story we are also introduced to Tin's siblings. The twins Rosie and Bethan his little brother Jack... and get to meet Bash.

There are many plots and twists entwined in this book: the UnReals (anti-monarchy terrorist group) rear their ugly heads again, people are shot, there are threats aplenty and of course there is love and hope.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next installment in His to Hold.

He knows he belongs to Etta. She knows she is Tins. She makes sure no one can change that. He makes sure she can live with her choice when it’s time. I love just how fiercely they love each other. They had my heart from the start.

Great festive read (or anytime really).

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the RH quintessence stories & theirs: the Veronica collection so this next Gen, MF romance is an absolute gem to continue with that world and essentially bring those who series together like never before.

I loved it. The story is filled with intrigue, mystery, villainy, heartbreak and survival. Not to mention it had a satisfying Happily Ever After!

It's spicy but it's storyline makes it appropriately modestly spaced. I love the focus on being equals. So good!
