His Surrogate Omega: An MPREG Omegaverse Book (Omega Quadrant 1) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,144 ratings

Omega Gray Tomlinson is positive he’ll remain unmated for the rest of his life. By his mid-thirties, he remains unclaimed and without prospects, and lives confined to the Omega Quadrant, where he’s sure he’ll end up dying alone. When his older brother, Silver, and Silver’s alpha die in a tragic accident, Gray’s nephews come to live in his little sequestered world. Without an alpha, he knows he has little means to help support the boys. The only choice he can stomach is to offer his services as a surrogate.

The minute Gray meets Jamie, the infertile omega who so desperately wants a child, he senses a bond like none he’s ever felt before. It’s brotherly love at first sight, and Gray decides Jamie is the one, agreeing to carry his and his alpha, Rohan’s, child. But when circumstances change, Gray is faced with new challenges, a new love interest, and a battle for the very life that grew inside him.

And maybe there’s an alpha out there for him after all…

This was a truly wonderful, heartfelt, and emotional story. Even my husband was vested in a play by play of the plot while I was reading it, and I can’t wait to deep dive into the rest of Kelex’s bibliography now!

This book is AMAZING. It's beautiful, heartbreaking, emotional, full of hope and love, and I just LOVED it.

This is a non-shifter, mpreg, ABO'verse type of story, the first for this author (although, not the first mpreg by any means, if you haven't already - her Bear Mountain series and the spin-offs are a MUST read) and I love the framework established and world building she has created here. In this world, there are alphas, betas, and omegas - and they are all rigidly put and then kept in their places through living quarters, available jobs, and society. Omegas have few rights other than being baby-makers, and alphas have ALL the rights.

Gray is an omega in his mid-thirties, who has never met his alpha. He now has to raise his nephews (who are all omegas as well) after his brother and his mate pass, and he's unsure of how to make ends meet. Surrogates are used when alpha and omega couples can't have children, (although there are still stigmas attached to this as well) but Gray thinks that this might be his best, and only, option, despite his oldest nephew Avery going out to make his own way in the world.

Jamie is an omega who desperately wants a child - but his battle with cancer has left him unable to have children. He searches for a surrogate, and finds the perfect one in Gray. I loved his friendship with and love for Gray. They quickly became the best of friends - brothers - and I loved how much they came to care for the other.

Rohan, Jamie's alpha, wants the very best for Jamie. He'd do anything for him, so he reluctantly agrees to the idea of having a surrogate to give them a child. But then the feels start - and Rohan questions everything - how can he have his omega, Jamie, and also have feelings for Gray? Why would Jamie be OK with that?

I don't want to give too much away, because I don't want to ruin the reading experience for anyone. I will just say - this was an incredibly emotional journey for these three men and their families. Get that box of tissues ready, and I rarely cry reading books. I loved the relationships and interactions they all had - all the emotions, the want, the love, the pain. It was beautiful.

And give me Avery and Wilder! Their story is going to be YUM I expect, and hopefully a bit less teary?

Oh mannnn this book took me through it! Such an amazingly beautiful and selfless book! Most M-preg books I’ve read are short and pretty fast passed, this book is not! The character build and plot are so amazing and well developed. I’ve read kelex’s other omegaverse series before seeing this one and I can’t wait to get into book 2. Read this book…but seriously be ready to ugly cry!

While I do feel like the writing wasn’t the best (there were a few errors, and it appeared words were missing), I found myself drawn into the story nonetheless. The lore behind how this universe society functions and the developments of the characters had me unable to put the book down. I will say that this is one of the darkest universes I have read, just in how things are done and how Omegas are treated, and I loved that unique twist on the OV AU (though at first I almost thought about putting this in the DNF pile) But the heartbreak in this book left me devastated. Without spoiling anything, you hope for a different outcome and that hope is destroyed in a matter of minutes and I regret reading it purely for the despair and heartbreak and now I need to find something fluffy because jfc.

It was really hard for me to rate this book. I loved the story overall it brought a lot of unexpected tears. However, it didn’t really feel like a romance. Even after we get to the endgame, I just don’t feel the chemistry between Gray and Rohan. I ended up skipping through the last 15% of the book and was a little emotionally checked out.

I am excited to see what happens with Avery in his book though!

If you like high heat mmm romance this book might not be for you. If you like to get to know characters and have your heart wrenched and you enjoy crying over a book - then you’ll love this one.

This isn’t the type of book I typically like - I prefer more heat and less angst - but it was so well written I couldn’t put it down. I had read the blurb several times and debated. I’m glad I read it - but it was certainly emotional. Keep a Kleenex box handy.

Tradotto male. Va letto in lingua originale per apprezzarlo e capirlo completamente.
    Meraviglioso.
Ci sono alcune scene che sono piccole perle di poesia e saggezza.
In alcuni punti fa stare male tanta è la tristezza che ti investe.
Merita lo sforzo di una lettura nella sua versione originale.

First time read for me by this author and what a read it was.
Very different from others of this genre and after downloading the sample, I was intrigued to find out how the storyline would run.
So much emotion. I'm not ashamed to say it had me in tears at times. With three very strong and likeable main characters and interesting (although not always pleasant) secondary ones, this was quite a bumpy ride.
Due to illness, omega Jaime is unable to have a child with his mate and Alpha Rohan and decides Gray would be a good match for them as their omega surrogate. Gray, who also had a fair few problems of his own to contend with and after some soul searching, agrees. Once the decision had been made, none them realised what an impact each of them would have on the other, and their families, or the emotional journey they would take. Thoughtful and sexy, sad and heart-breaking with some good heart-warming times mixed in, I thoroughly lost myself in their believable story and couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.
I don't think I have anything negative to say at all. Except maybe the front cover could have reflected the three MC's more. But that's just being picky.
Very much looking forward to the next one in the series. The focus will be on Avery, Gray's nephew, who also has an interesting storyline going on. I would love to see more of the already familiar characters in that one too.
    Highly recommended.

... great book. It's dark sometimes. I don't like the circumstances, they live in, with omegas treated in the way, they are. But I do like, what the tome described about the old times. Aaaand it is too sad, that the three couldn't make a live together. Don't want to spoiler. If you read this book, make sure, to have several tissues handy.

I can't describe how amazing this book was. It had everything you could hope for in a great story. So many feels and I wasn't disappointed. There isn't a lot of smut but the scenes that do occur are very hot and enjoyable. I'm dying for the next book. I can't wait to read more from this person as well. Just fantastic.
