Introduction
Several years ago, I had a dream. A voice was telling me that every weed has a season in which it’s vulnerable and can be effectively dealt with. The voice said not to waste time and effort on the wrong weeds for the season. I thought that was interesting and seemed wise, but I wasn’t sure how to recognize which season was for what weed or how to apply what I learned in practical terms. I promptly forgot about the dream and walked right into learning about the meanings behind the Jewish months. A friend mailed me some info on the month we were in, and I began to see the possibilities for tapping into each season on a deeper level. I developed a program in a matter of weeks and have been refining it over the last few years. Later, I looked back at my dream journal and realized that I had been walking out my dream.
When we follow the schedule God laid out in the stars, freedom in certain areas comes more easily as we take advantage of specific blessings. God wants to bring forth specific things in our lives every month that will propel us forward into our destiny.
Each of the following come together to give us strategy throughout the year: the explanations behind each Hebrew month, the original meaning of the corresponding constellations, the tribes that correlate to each, and the gates of Jerusalem. When we align all these together, blessings, areas of healing, potential pitfalls, and warfare are revealed.
We begin in the month of Nisan, which starts in March or April. The first few months follow the story of the exodus and the journey to the promised land. It’s a time of breaking out of bondage and moving into all God has for us. We can repeat this cycle year after year because we always have areas of our lives where we are not living in our full potential. In some cases, we miss a crucial step and have to go round the mountain again; in other cases, it simply wasn’t time for the exact freedom we had in mind, but we became untangled in other areas. We also get ourselves into new situations and then have to get out. Every Nisan is a fresh start, but you can join during any month of the year.
