Hot Shot (The King Brothers) Kindle Edition
But when Phoenix challenges me to a game, I can't help but take him up on it. The rules are simple: whoever falls in love first loses. It's a dangerous game, and I know I'm putting my heart on the line. But there's something about him I can’t resist, despite my better judgment.
As we get closer, I realize underneath that bad boy exterior is a darker streak we both share. He’s flawed and beautifully, brutally broken. And he could be mine.
Hot Shot is a full-length, standalone bad boy sports romance full of steam and broody passion, a story about two flawed individuals coming together to help each other heal. There’s no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after. Grab your copy today.

Review
★★★★★In my opinion Hot Shot is a little different than the other King Brothers Books. Yes, you get the struggle of Phoenix of pleasing his father. I found Phoenix's struggle more compelling the Peyton and Titus's struggles. He flat out makes his feelings for his sport known to Heather. The other brothers didn't do that. I found it interesting how Phoenix found something he loved and went after it. I found Heather very likable she has been through a lot. She is tough, smart and very giving. I liked how Heather taught Phoenix how to give back. I really liked the banter between Phoenix and Heather, I found it fun. In my opinion Teagan Kade did not disappoint. Hot Shot is my favorite of the King Brothers Series so far. - Dawn, Goodreads★★★★★What a great book! I really enjoyed Phoenix and Heather's story. He was determined to win her over but she taught him so much more. Phoenix was sweet and funny, and even though he was agonizing over his choices he took the time to really dig deep and figure out what he wanted. Heather was a strong, sassy beautiful woman that was determined to give back after surviving her past. I think she was the perfect match for Phoenix and their romance was written perfectly. I am loving this series and can't wait for Nolan's story. - Ann, Goodreads★★★★★Hot Shot is by far my favorite King Brothers novel. Teagan Kade has a way of spinning a tale that really gets you going. This book focuses on Phoenix King and his desire to be his own man--not just another player in the King sports franchise. Grab this book today. The storyline is totally kick ass; the characters well defined; plot twists and turns are fairly level; but the HEA will totally blow you away! - Pat, Goodreads★★★★★This is the third book in this series and what a great read it is. The storyline is awesome, and the characters are all well developed. I thought that Heather and Phoenix were great for each other. I loved their story line. It is sweet but hot, easy but hard and most of all it made me smile and laugh. A 5-star read for sure. My favorite of the series so far! - Sherri, Goodreads

About the author

Teagan lives in Sydney, Australia with her two tykes and Mr. Kade. She loves way-too-fruity cocktails, sunny weather and hearing from her readers, all of whom are as dear to her heart as salted caramel cookies. When she's not writing she's running around town madly trying to do twenty things too many, but they, that's mom life., right? She writes about bad boys with big hearts and even bigger you-know-whats that know how to treat their women. Steamy scenes galore and HEAs are guaranteed. - Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2020Format: KindleThis is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Phoenix and Heather’s story. Phoenix is the star basketball player who is cocky, arrogant, and a playboy, and Heather who is from the wrong side of the tracks and is working as a line cook in the Academy’s cafeteria. Heather has had a tough life, and she is immune to Phoenix’s flirting and charms, which just makes him more determined and intrigued by her. Can the player be brought to his knees by a girl? This is a well written story which is heart-warming, refreshing, entertaining, humorous, and an all-round intriguing and addictive page turner. I highly recommend this for all.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhat a fun read. Phoenix King is my favorite of the King brothers and this newest release is all about him. Heather has perked the interest of Phoenix and I was highly entertained how their chemistry evolves. This addition to the series is well written with a great storyline and wonderful characters. Lots of humor, fun banter, delicious steam, and a happily ever that will satisfy your romantic side. I can’t wait for more!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2020Format: KindleWith his future in question, the only bright spot in Phoenix King's days is Heather, a line cook in the Crestfall Sports Academy cafeteria - except she seems to have an utter lack of interest in him until he rescues her from a bad situation. What she discovers, as she gets to know him, is that he's a lot deeper and less entitled than she thought. Phoenix is a good guy with a tough decision to make and being with Heather has him opening his eyes and heart.
Hot Shot is the third book in the King brother series and another great romance by Teagan Kade. I loved Phoenix and Heather. They are so genuine and appealing. I also like that every book gives the brothers' stepmother Alissa a little chance to shine and also show that their father isn't one hundred percent heartless. It keeps them from being one dimensional. There's lots of warmth, humor, and emotion in this story expressed in the author's easy writing style and I loved the epilogues. Great read, as always.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2020Format: KindleThis is my favorite King book so far. This King brother is like no other brother. I thought it was cute that Phoenix would go to the school’s cafeteria just to see Heather wether he ate the food or not. Heather impressed me with how dedicated she was to helping the homeless get some food. I was glad to see her pay it forward. I loved that Gordy helped her when she was at her lowest. Money wise the two are different as night and day. But their hearts are both in the same place. For me, this is a gentler King. Don’t get me wrong, he lives up to his reputation as women wanting him. I enjoyed seeing a different side of the boys step mother. She has more substance that the boys ever gave her. I was just as surprised as Phoenix how he took to what Heather showed him that calmed him down. I strongly encourage you read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2020Format: KindleHot Shot is the third installment to the King Brothers series and it is more than you could of hoped for. Trust me that there is an absolutely riveting storyline within these unique pages.
Superstar, Phoenix King, is about to be brought to his knees by Heather, a woman from the 'wrong' side of the tracks, with a past that will break your heart. It is truly the personal growth of Phoenix that got to me the most. Watching these two characters fight for what is right and just, was an absolute delight to read and their happily ever after was incredible.
Personally, I am a huge fan of wonderfully written romance and that is exactly what T. Kade has provided for each of us.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Hot Shot in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. I couldn't recommend reading this release more, or anything published by Ms. Teagan Kade.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2020Format: KindleA really fun and unexpected story for the 3rd King brother!! Heather & Phoenix's story was an enjoyable easy read. Heather's a tough as nails heroine who doesn't put up with any garbage, who meets the campus Hot Shot basketball player Phoenix, destined for the NBA if he can only pick a team to play for.
Having grown up homeless, and fought her way for everything she's had, Heather thinks she knows the type of player Phoenix King is. And she wants nothing to do with him. But maybe his money and connections can hep her get the soup kitchen for the town up and running better than before. Meanwhile, Phoenix is at a crossroad, not completely sure if wants to be a super start basketball player, but not sure what else he can really do in life, after all he is a King 😉. Will Phoenix find a new passion and joy? Can Heather get past her hard life to see the good in front of her?
I received an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.
