That flavor is obvious in the tone she sets in the Prologue – ‘“You sure about this?” Nathan asks me in his distinct Bronx accent as the muted sounds of the club preparing to open surround us. In the six months I’ve worked here at Club Jasmine, he’s been my boss, a mentor of sorts, and an ear to bend when I need it. He’s crude and he’s foul-mouthed, but he’s honest. “I’m sure,” I reply, tugging at the collar on my work outfit. Tonight is supposed to be ‘upscale night’, which for the patrons means suits and dresses that hit at least the mid-thigh, and if you have a collar, you’d better be rocking a tie.     I didn't realize when I started reading this that it was part of a series. I actually own the series but have yet to read it. After reading Mr. Fixit, I am now motivated to read the rest of the books in the series. This book works fine as a stand alone but the other characters in the book are such great people that I really want to know their stories too. Cassie and Caleb's story was sweet, fun and with hot sex. I enjoyed reading about their blossoming romance that happened while neither of them were looking. Another great thing about this book was that there were no evil characters trying to destroy them, just their past hurts that affected their lives. If you haven't read the series and want to just read this one, go ahead, it stands up well by itself.

    We finally get Caleb & Cassie's story who we have met in the last book, Stud Muffin, by this talented author, and Lauren Landish once again doesn't disappoint by writing a story that will have you smiling, a few tears, and some laughs to go along the way. Cassie isn't that irritating assistant she was in the previous book, she's actually a beautiful, independent, smart woman who may play dumb sometimes but is far from it. These two have been at it for a year, teasing, playful flirting but most of all they have become good friends, hanging out, going for runs together and even double dating. When Cassie finds a house she wants to rebuild and Caleb being Mr. Fixit with his own company, lends her a hand. Now they are spending more time together and are looking at each other more than just friends, both are attracted to each other and come up with an agreement steamy buddies, no strings, no attachments, keep the friendship with steamy times. But along the way strong feelings do come into play, how will they handle it since both have major trust issues.....read and find out.
    OMG...I loved loved loved their story, their banter, flirting, friendship and the steamy scenes that made me wish it was winter so I could go outside and cool off. Once again this author makes it hard to chose who my favorite couple is from this series but Caleb and Cassie have just pulled ahead. Two people who were fixing up a house but in the meantime fix each other's hearts and trust issues....beautiful....amazing....heartwarming....perfect....10 ++++++

    LAUREN Landish never disappoints. Her writing is flawless and fun. I often find myself speed reading as she writes such captivating, witty and sexy stories.
    "Mr. Fix It" lives up to that reputation - Caleb and Cassie's story is fabulous. I was hooked from the first chapter and enjoyed both the friendship and respect they had for each other as well as the sexy, hot scenes.

    The sexual tensions run high when we meet the two of them working on a house together. Giving into an innocent friends with benefits arrangement ... this doesn't seem to satisfy either of their appetites.

    These two are complex characters which make them really interesting to read and their internal dialogue provides a unique perspective for the reader. Caleb sums it up best... 'While I’ve been busy completing jobs on a list, just a regular old Mr. Fix-It, not looking at the big picture, she saw me. My brokenness. And while it wasn’t joint compound and a coat of paint, she fixed me. With her laughter, her joyful approach to life, her lightness . . . she fixed me. That thought settles into my bones, my heart, and I know it’s true.
    This was a book I read cover to cover in one sitting and will definitely go back to.'

    Once again, Lauren Landish has proven why she is always on my "must pre-order" author list.

    Another great read by Lauren Landish. I was happy to finally read Caleb & Cassie's story. We met this couple in Stud Muffin. I felt all the emotions with Mr. Fixit, a few tears, a few smiles, some laughs and lots of enjoyment. Cassie is a much more likeable character in this book. She has developed into a beautiful, smart woman. They have both flirted for more then a year and finally get together when Cassie finds a house she wants to rebuild and Caleb/ Mr. Fixit, lends her a hand.
