Imperfect Match (Imperfect Match Series Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 2,969 ratings

Rule number one for a professional matchmaker? Don’t fall in love with your client.

I screwed that up when I fell for my best friend, Reid Fortino. He’s gorgeous, successful, and sexy as hell. I figured it would be easy to find him a match—and save the family business at the same time.

But the more time I spend attempting to find the perfect girl, the more I realize how much I want him for my own. What’s the harm if we give in for just one night?

I should have known that would never be enough.

Now I’m on the verge of losing my job and my heart.

We were an imperfect match from the start, but I don’t know how to let him go.

R E V I E W HOLD ON TO SOMETHING! This book will blow your mind! Talk about a power couple, both Corinne & Melanie are one of my favorite authors & I was so excited for this book to finally come out!! Therefore this is NOT my first read by either authors & I look forward to more of course! Willow's parents are selling My Heart's Desire which is the number one matchmaking services in Chicago! Is she ready to take over? Umm, according to her mother, NO, it shouldn't take 3 years to match someone up! Poor Willow has tried, honestly tried. When her mother threatens to give it to her hippie sister Aspen, she jumps...right on a conclusion. She doesn't need a husband to where she wants to go in life, but a job and steady income, yes!! In comes Reid from stage left! Willow's best friend, someone who she...is in love with. Someone who only see's her as the best friend and someone to take care of him. Can you hear my heart breaking here *crack crack* S I G H! Any who, Willows MOTHER decides it would be a perfect idea for Willow to help Reid find a match. Love Match that is! So smart that woman...NOT! NOTE: there is a little surprise about Willow's plans! This was SO MUCH FUN to read. The banter, the family, the bond, passion in and out of, the magic (yes magic) because Reid is something else.. The one things that drove me off the wall was Willow, ughhh the push and pull..in comes Willow from stage EVERYWHERE! It was a good agony. The story line is perfect, the words flow easy and smooth, transitions also the same. Everything about it was fantastic! Reid would be rated a 5 because he is funny, charming, handsome, strong and sometimes an idiot (but all Men are) and Willow I would rate a 4.5 because the agony drove me a little nuts but she was beautiful, smart, determined, thickheaded, and loyal. You will fall in love with both just like I did! Everything about this story screams LOVE...so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! QUOTE "I'm only perfect because I have you." I am rating this a 10 PLUS & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Made it on my TOP 2019 MUST READ list for sure!! H A P P Y -R E A D I N G

Once I saw that Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels had come together again to write a book, it was a no brainer that I'd want to read it!! This 2 women are amazing separately, but together they are phenomenal!!!!
Reid and Willow are such an wonderful couple, even before they became an official couple. They were best friends who lived across the hall from each other and literally spent every day together. They were perfect for each other, but neither one of them wanted to ruin their friendship. They kinda get pushed together by Willow's job, which is hilarious, and things kinda snowball from there!!
I loved Willow!! She was such a strong female character! I loved that she had dreams and goals that she wasn't willing to give up or compromise on - even for true love. She was funny, smart, loving, always saw the best in people and the world around her. I would love to hang out with her and be her friend!!
Reid was a great guy with a lot of unnecessary baggage that he carried around with him like a noose around his neck. I loved him but I wanted to knock some sense into him too!! He came around to realize that he loved Willow and wanted her as more then his friend, but he also didn't know what that meant for himself or her. He wanted patience from Willow but wasn't willing to give it back to her.
Even though their relationship got complicated for a little while, it proved what Willow's mother knew all along, anything worthwhile takes work and hurts sometimes. The secondary characters are amazing!! LOVED Aspen, Willow's sister!!!! OMG, she was so much fun!!! Loved her all natural, get in touch with Mother Earth, make her own clothes out of nature, and aura reading ways She was the complete opposite of Willow but they complemented each other well. Leo, Reid's slightly deadbeat brother, was also a wonderful character. He balanced Reid out, whether he realized it or not. Willow's parents were great too.
Overall, this was a fabulous book!!!! I hated to see it end, even with the bonus scene after the epilogue!!! I highly recommend it to everyone. You will laugh, swoon, cry happy and sad tears, and just feel the love coming off the pages!!!

Matchmaker Willow and her best friend and neighbour Reid. Her mother thinks he is keeping her away from potential suitor and she is keeping his potential suitor away from him, because they hang out way too much and not in a romantic setting. The mother has an idea, Willow is going to find Reid a match, well they are a matchmaking service. She thinks they have co dependency issues. He needs a match to cure his loneliness and she needs a win, a romantic success under her belt as she is not having much success as a matchmaker. Reid really is, an adorable idiot so I can see why they’re best friends. They have a great relationship, they get each other with no pretence or expectation. Dilemma, the idea of them being with someone else does not sit well with the other so this should be interesting.

Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow come together again to pen another irresistible, addictive love story. The styles of these two authors blend perfectly in this best-friends-to-lovers romance. Michaels runs readers through the gamut of gut-wrenching emotions as this couple fights their way through difficult personal histories, painful past experiences and future hopes and dreams to get to their happily ever after. Harlow soothes those frayed emotions with the hefty doses of swoony, sweet romance, scintillating passion, and playful banter.

Reid and Willow had tremendous chemistry and a rock-solid friendship as their foundation. Not once did they cross the line—they both were looking for very different things. Unlucky in love, Willow was ready to move to the next stage in her life, with or without a man. Reid didn’t have the best luck when it came to romantic relationships either, but it just felt so natural and so right when their platonic relationship turned passionate that they were powerless to fight the pull of those feelings. I was drawn right into the push and pull of their should-we/could-we uncertainties and all the tumultuous emotions of that time. But with every high, there was a low, and my heart ached as they struggled to work through those issues and emotions. It wasn’t all heavy, heart-tugging emotion, though. This couple had an effortlessly comfortable, in-sync vibe in their relationship, and their friendship always shone through the heat of their attraction for plenty of light-hearted, fun moments along with the excitement of their newfound physical relationship.

Imperfect Match packed all the feels within in its pages, and I felt every single one of them. Harlow’s sweetness softened the edges of Michaels’ angst, and their writing meshed together beautifully in this engrossing best-friends-turned-lovers romance. Michaels weaved her angsty magic in all its gut-wrenching glory. Harlow tempered that emotion with layers of sweet romance and sizzling chemistry that added depth and richness making this a memorable love story that I simply did not want to put down. This author collaboration is anything but imperfect, and I’ll be right here hoping and waiting for more from these two perfectly matched authors. Five smooches from me for Imperfect Match by Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow!

    5 Perfectly Imperfect Stars!!!

I have to say, first off, that this writing duo of Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow are proving to be INCREDIBLE!!! With Imperfect Match, they have become one of THE best writing duos.....ever!!!

Reid and Willow are best friends....they share absolutely everything (well, ALMOST!) They live across the hall from one another and spend pretty much ALL their free time together! When Willow has to find Reid's "perfect" match through her mother's dating service in order to save the company, as well as her job, THAT'S when things start becoming dicey...and hilarious, sometimes angsty and emotional. I LOVED how these two seemingly very different people worked out how they could have what they BOTH wanted in the end!

I loved both Reid's brother, Leo (the slightly more emotionally damaged of the siblings) and Willow's sister, Aspen (the VERY quirky but lovable character), as well as Willow's Mom (the dialogue between Willow and her Mom had be laughing out loud on many occasions) that add so much to this truly unforgettable love story!

This glorious, riveting best friends-to-lovers romance is sweet, funny, sexy-as-all-get-out and has just enough angst to make your heart hurt a little....in other words, it's PERFECTLY imperfect! Just like Reid and Willow! I can't recommend this one highly enough!

It was a nice read. But I didn’t like the blandness of the main characters. There was nothing special about them, nothing that will make me think about them ever again. The sister was the most interesting character in the book, I’d have much rather read about her love story. Who knows, maybe there will be a sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother. I have read nearly all of corinne michaels books but th8s is a bomb. They say one should read the first 50 pages to get a feel of a book and be captured ny the story. I read the first 3 chapters and was bored. The ending was clear so why read all the crap in the middle
