The Perfect Impostor Kindle Edition
Struggling to escape her past and make a name for herself as a modiste, Katrina Sinclair hopes the daring new wardrobe she has been commissioned to design for her childhood friend Julia—now a marchioness—will attract the business she desperately needs. But Julia's help comes at a price. Often mistaken for one another, Julia asks Katrina to take her place at a house party. Katrina reluctantly agrees. All goes according to plan until a distractingly attractive gentleman once engaged to be married to Julia unexpectedly arrives at the party.
Lord Leo Kincade has been tasked with catching a traitor who steals from house parties to fund Napoleon's armies. Three women are suspected—including Julia. But when Leo intercepts her at the party, he finds an impostor who stirs his protective instincts, and an attraction stronger than anything he ever felt for Julia.
The mysterious woman appears to be in urgent need of Leo’s help, but won't trust him with her true identity. He should expose her at once, but instead gives in to temptation, curious to see where her deception—and their passion—will lead. When Katrina’s life is threatened, will Leo put his feelings for the captivating modiste before his duty…

I’m a British author, brought up on the Isle of Wight and share my life with a handsome rescued Spanish Podenco called Markos.
I’ve had over one hundred books published, ranging from Regency romance, (my first love), to contemporary women’s fiction and marine crime mysteries.
When not writing I walk miles, make half-hearted attempts to retain flexibility by attending yoga classes, read other people’s tomes…oh, and I’m on a one woman mission to keep the wine trade profitable!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story.
I really enjoy Wendy Soliman's books and this one didn't disappoint either. The book cover is also quite eye catching and the book is well written. Katrina and Leo were made for each other and were excellent lead characters. Despite life's hardships Katrina had remained strong and surprisingly loyal to her 'friend' Julia, such a shame she didn't return the favour, as she abused Katrina's good nature dreadfully. The plot was quite well filled out and kept me interested throughout, I would thoroughly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written, good read.
I enjoyed this book. Good characters, excellent dialogue, great example of its genre. Disagree with review that mentions errors - didn't see any at all.

Just loved the way the plot twisted several times and the descriptions of the clothes worn at the events. Very readable thank you
