Incubus Seduction: mm paranormal Kindle Edition
A single human stands between an incubus and his wildest dreams, a boy who managed to turn him down. The hunt is on.
Ezra’s small English territory provides enough students to survive without addicting anyone. No responsibilities, no trouble with the supernatural council, and no status, or chance of breeding.
Then Finn strolled into his sex shop, and everything changed. A virgin not quite mortal, one with the power to sate his every desire, if he can seduce him. But Finn already has a life, a future, a partner.
Can Ezra seduce Finn legally, with his full consent, before a better incubus steals his prize, or will he throw caution to the wind and risk a lifetime of imprisonment?
Seduction is the first book in the mm paranormal series, Incubus. Told from Finn’s POV, it features a devilishly sexy incubus without morals and a clueless student intent on his career and getting his reluctant boyfriend into bed.

About the author

Emma is the #1 Amazon Bestselling Author of angsty, dark MM paranormal, scifi, and contemporary series including Incubus, DeMMonica Paint, Lies, and Malthusia.
Born in Hungry Bottom (yes, it's a real place) as an unexpected twin, she was destined to be a little different!
She loves putting damaged, often sweet and funny characters through hell before letting them have a well-earned HFN or HEA,
Writing sci-fi, paranormal, and contemporary romance with m/m, m/f, and multiple partner characters, she concentrates on men who love men these days. She blames her rebellious muse (who looks like Chris from the Paint Series) for the hot aspects tickling the angst, and the humor cuddling up with the hotness.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2018Sex demons -including those of the incubus variety like Ezra Erotes- are always fun to read. I have a pretty big religious studies passion which often makes it hard for me to enjoy a book starring either demons or angels, but Emma Jaye created a world where it's a very straight-forward urban fantasy setting with no big muss or fuss about the lore of it all. I appreciated it being simply handed to me to accept the way one should in a fantasy.
Science fiction needs the science to make it good. Fantasy has magic which is all it needs and Emma Jaye delivers magic in Seduction (Incubus #1).
Finn made me laugh far too many times with his naivete; Ezra explaining the going rate for a street walker compared to his rate made me giggle hysterically. I hated Finn's stockbroker keeper so I was thrilled by the turn of events which took him out of the way. I completely accepted why Finn agreed to go with Ezra when someone else might have been cautious about jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.
All in all, Seduction was a tantalizing start and I will read the next installments to see what happens with Ezra and Pixie and Finn. I have a feeling I'll get a lot of laughs from the series and who can't use more laughter these days?
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2022I wanted Finn to be more active in his seduction. Ezra used his powers to manipulate the boy, when I don’t necessarily think he needed to - and it would have been much stronger if he didn’t.
Despite that, I’m curious to see how this series develops and to learn exactly what a vascellum is.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2018Ezra is an Incubus, a sex demon who feeds on the passion of humans that he can compel to do his sexual bidding. That is until he meets Finn, who has his own reasons for resisting the allure of the dark stranger. Soon Ezra discovers that Finn not only poses an interesting challenge, but that he is no ordinary human. What follows is a battle of wills and a discovery of self for a young, innocent Finn.
This short book is an excellent beginning to what is now a 5-part series. We are introduced to the wonderfully innocent, yet determined, Finn whose current boyfriend is not meeting his expectations. As many of us do, because he is in love, he looks to himself as the problem. He should not be thinking about the owner of the local sex shop.
I am not a big reader of the paranormal (Though that might change with this series!) and my perception of beings hundreds of years old is that they look and act a little old fashioned, based on the era in which they were born. Ezra, however, is a full on modern beast in what he wears, how he acts and how he speaks, including his, sometimes corny, innuendos. This is just as well, as it takes the edge off a character that can otherwise come off as insensitive to human choice. Also helping to redeem Ezra’s character is Finn’s housemate, Pixie, who introduces them.
All I can add is… be prepared to want to buy the second installment in this series the moment you have read the last page.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2019This book was short, but it packed a punch. There was sex, sex, and more sex. But that makes sense since this book is about an incubus, Ezra, and his very special, very addictive human, Finn. Since this was a book about an incubus, I had high expectations for the sex scenes, and I was not disappointed. They were wonderfully done. Ezra is a demon, and thus does not have the same sensibilities as humans do. He had no problem with manipulating Finn to get what he wanted. Finn was also wonderful. He was learning how to break free from his controlling and selfish boyfriend. Unfortunately, or should I say fortunately, Finn is soon caught in Ezra’s web.
Overall Rating: 4 Stars. The sex was great and the writing was fun. I quite enjoyed reading this book and really enjoyed the plot so far. I need to read the rest of this series.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2022Why I've waited sooo long to read this..I have no idea!!
This author has a way with words, that keeps the reader on their toes!
For Ezra, it's strictly business, so no need for those pesky feelings. Finn, yeah, he really never stood a chance, now did he?
"You're right, I don't. I select my people with great care, and you, Finn, are something special."
Can't wait to read the next book, and see what's next!

4.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed it, but...
It was a good story, don't get me wrong. I love the premise and the writing style.
Sadly, about 70% of the book is basically the same as the first book in the "Callgirls" series. I enjoyed that too, but reading the same thing (sometimes word for word) just left me feeling a bit cheated.
If you haven't read the first Callgirls novella, or if it's been a long time, I can recommend this book however 👍

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating!
Wow, this was a really addictive read. After finishing this book, I went and bought all the sequels!
The story of an incubus and a human being falling in love is an intriguing concept. I have never read a romance starring an incubus (or succubus) before, so I was very excited to read this book, and was thankfully not disappointed! It’s true what Ezra said, that vampires are much more famous in Hollywood (and in romance novels too.) Incubi are much less known. I’ve never seen a context where an incubus is a good guy! Or at least a protagonist, since Ezra can be seen as an anti-hero. He is a pretty decent bloke for a demon, though. I’m really thrilled that this is a gay romance too.
Charlie was a laughable and ridiculous guy, his cruelty and condescending attitude aside.
It was quite neat how, in this story universe, incubi have to make sure that their sexual partners actually enjoy themselves, so the mere act of intercourse is not enough. As Ezra put it, he can’t be a selfish lover, or else he won’t get the energy he needs. I liked how he made the comparison that humans convert animals and plants into energy, whilst vampires convert blood, and incubi convert sexual desire, into energy. The comparison made incubi sound less villainous, and again, at least they are driven to make their sexual partner happy, so they aren’t merely using humans as sources of energy.
Maybe it’s because this is an incubus romance, but the sex scenes were more interesting than the average romance’s. The sex is also integral to the plot (e.g. for Ezra’s survival as an incubus), so there are more stakes and emotional tension than in typical romance sex scenes. The internal conflicts in Finn and the supernatural consequences of the sex, were intriguing to read about too.
We haven’t seen much fantasy worldbuilding yet, since this is just the first installment, but what was revealed so far looks exciting. I quite like Pixie, by the way. Although I wouldn’t call her “morally upright,” she’s kinder and more caring than you may expect. She has a nice name too. As I mentioned earlier, this is my first time reading an incubus romance, so it was fascinating to learn about how things work in the incubi and succubae world, at least in this story.
The pacing of the book was good, as I never felt bored and was engaged in the story all the way through.
On Ezra and Finn themselves, at the moment, I find Ezra more interesting, partly because he’s an incubus, and partly because he is simply an intriguing person. His life experiences are obviously quite out of the ordinary, and I liked watching him navigate moral boundaries. He is an incubus, after all, so it would be unrealistic for him to be a paragon of virtue. At the same time, as he is a romance love interest, he can’t be too bad either, or else readers would be displeased. But I’m happy with Ezra so far.
Finn, on the other hand, seems like a rather conscientious and principled fellow. He would actually listen to Charlie on all those strict health and other rules. (No red meat!) It’s good that he’s able to assert his limits with Ezra, so Finn isn’t a pushover. I don’t think Ezra would fancy a doormat for a partner. Yet, I don’t find him as intriguing a character as Ezra is.
On their romance, they certainly don’t look like the typical romance couple. I’m look forward to seeing how their relationship will develop! I’m also curious whether they will have an open relationship or if they will be monogamous partners.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good
Really enjoyed the first instalment of Finn and Ezra. The rollercoaster drama and mixed emotions for hooked me from the first few pages. I have mixed feelings about reading more, I'm not a big fan of characters that pimp out their love interest, even if it's consenting. I might just skip to the last book.
