I enjoyed it more than the Anesthetic

I enjoyed it more than the Anesthetic
In comparison to its predecessor, I found this sequel to be a great improvement, offering a more cohesive narrative and delving into themes of angst and toxic love that had me hooked from start to finish. The storyline picks up immediately after the events of the first book, where Killian and Ainsley find themselves on the run following their disruptive antics at a party. While both characters have previously dabbled in drugs, their newfound freedom from the constraints of suburban life exposes them to a world of unlimited access to various substances. This inclusion of drugs adds a layer of intensity and danger to the already complex relationship between Killian and Ainsley. As the narrative progresses, Ainsley's addiction spirals out of control, leaving Killian genuinely concerned for her well-being. Faced with the grim reality of her deteriorating health, he is compelled to make the difficult decision of returning her to the safety of her home, where she can receive the help she desperately needs. The tumultuous nature of their relationship, characterized by a toxic dynamic, keeps the reader engaged in what will happen next to Killian and Ainsley. 4/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶🌶🌶

Inertia is as well written, heart wrenching, and beautifully tragic as Anesthetic. Once again, my heart felt so much for lost little Ainsley and poor Killian, neither who knew which way was up and which was down. Still, through it all, they clung to each other, which was as much their downfall as their strength (I just pray it also doesn't mean their death, but who could tell with that ending? 👀😩🤣). These two, their toxic yet undying love, will always hold yet another small piece of my heart 💔

DO NOT start this book unless you are able to read it in one sitting!! I am as shattered right now as Killian and Ainsley!! Book 3 is my only hope of reconstruction!!!

This book picks up where book one ended. As Ainsley and Killian deal with the aftermath of his fight with Ezra, they go on the run.

Unfortunately, running is accompanied by easier access to Ainsley’s preferred drugs. However, her use progresses from snorting to shooting up. In addition to her increased drug use, Ainsley slips into a deep depression.

Killian realized that she needs help, and realizes there is only one way to ensure she gets it. He knows that loving her means ensuring she has a future, even if it’s one in which they aren’t together.

The book does end on a cliffhanger, but this is a finished series. This book was extremely powerful in showing the effects of young love, being an enabler, and making tough choices. This would have easily been a 5-star book if it weren’t for the numerous errors. I will still recommend the book because it was that good.

Oh my heart you guys! 💔❤️‍🩹 I AM NOT OKAY!! 🥺😭🥺😭
So… Inertia picks right back up where it left us at the end of Anesthetic. Devastatingly concerned for Ainsley and the path she is heading down.
In Inertia Killian goes to many extremes to try to help her get clean. Unfortunately as much as his intentions are coming from the right place, the execution is a blend of some enabling combined with a bit of toxicity. But the things that never waivers is their love for one another, their passion for each other. Holy Crow they are so flipping hot together. 🥵🥵

This book is like being on a continuous rollercoaster of feels. I cried, swooned, sweated on edge, and I swore. Angst and frustration I felt at top levels. 🥺😩😥 I was worried for Ainsley and scared for Killian. Killian is in a battle with his heart and head. In his heart he doesn’t want to be away from his girl but his head knows he needs to do whatever he can to get her help and get her sober, even if that means breaking both their hearts along the way.

Killian has some substance issues himself though not to the extent of the addiction that has a hold of Ainsley. He’s also afraid of his previous actions coming back to haunt him and then he wouldn’t be able to help her. Ainsley knows she is in a horrible situation but the addiction is just so strong that it's terrifying to think of how she will cope without dope.

Again this book leaves us panting and needing the final part of their story. I love this couple and I am totally invested in what happens to them so I need more of them like I need air. This book is gritty and raw and real in its depiction of the love between two lovers struggling with addiction. I love that C.M. gives us such an unfiltered view of all the aspects of what makes up these tortured and fantastic characters. Views of the real life real struggles addicts go through everyday.

In closing, trust me when I say I can’t possibly say all the reasons as to why you should read this without spoiling anything so just believe me. Read this series and this book. TODAY!!

These two together make a beautiful chaos. I can never get enough of them. The way they captivate and ensnare each other the passion that ignites between them. The story pushes forward the words full of raw emotions. I’m addicted to the destruction of their shattered worlds. They pulled me in and never let go. I can’t wait for what’s next!
