Jingle Bell Beard: Kringle Family Christmas, Book 3 Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 1,468 ratings

My to do list:
Revive my crashed PR career.
Turn around the Kringle family business by Christmas.
Convince my ex-boyfriend, NHL legend Matt “the Mountain” Kringle, to help me, even though I broke his heart when we were seventeen.
Easy, right?

Matt is huge, he’s hot, and he’s the grumpiest player in the league. I’ll have to brave his bad attitude and his sexy beard if I want him to help bail out the family business and put my career back on track. I’ll also have to try to forget - again - what an amazing kisser he is.

None of it is going to be easy. Not when Matt’s arrival in town leads to the Airport Incident and the Candy Cane Scandal - talk about embarrassing. But as Matt and I navigate disaster after disaster together, I’ll have to get over the fact that I never got over him. And that love with Matt is a game I just might want to play.

Jingle Bell Beard: Kringle Family Christmas Book 3) by Julie Kriss is a heartwarming ending to this series. While able to be read without first reading Very Merry Married and The Grump Who Stole Christmas, the whole series is absolutely entertaining reads. Jingle Bell Beard may be my favorite because Matt is my favorite kind of romantic hero. He’s gruff, grumpy and yet beneath all that bluster he is a total sweetheart with a heart of gold that is completely and totally devoted to his one time girlfriend of long ago.
Second chance romances just melt my heart and when you add in the wonderful characters and Christmas, I’m a total goner. Matt and Jasmine grabbed my heart and refused to let go.
Overall, a holiday heartwarming second chance romance with a beautiful, promising and heartfelt HEA perfect for this special time of year.

Great book to finish off this series. It’s the youngest Kringle, Matt who’s been away playing professional hockey but asked to come back to help out the family Inn. He said no to his siblings but when a blast from the past rings him and begs him to come home, he’s on the next flight. Jasmine was the girl that broke his heart back in high school and he’s never really gotten over her. It’s a second chance, fake relationship (for about 5 minutes) romance that has strong family bonds and Christmas themed. It’s quick, it’s sweet and just what I need at this time of the year.

Jasmine’s career is on the line and the only way she can revive it is by connecting with the man she dumped in high school. Matt’s current standing with the NHL is uncertain so what better way to get his mind off things than going home and helping the woman who broke his heart 17 years go.

This had me cracking up!! The scene about his groin.. ☠️☠️ Matt and Jasmine are such a cute match and really compliment each other. I love that they actually communicate and work on things than just pretending everything is okay. They honestly bring so much love and joy to the others life, it was so heartwarming to read.

I'll be honest--I went into this book not liking Matt. I didn't care much for the fact that he thought throwing money at his father breaking his leg was a good idea. Add to that his unwillingness to return to their hometown even after knowing what happened to his father and all the issues regarding the family inn, but all it took was one phone call from Jasmine to get him interested and I sighed in disappointment in the guy. As far as the romance between Jasmine and Matt was concerned, it was certainly entertaining and even had me laughing out loud. So all things considered, Jingle Bell Beard snags 3.5 stars.

A second chance romance that I actually liked? It must be the holiday cheer in the air! I'm always a little wary of second chance romances, but a book buddy recommended this Christmas read, and I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad that I did! It's longer than a novella, shorter than a full-length novel, and just the right amount of holiday fun. I loved the light, easy feel, and the story is head and shoulders above most of the holiday romances I've read this year. I'm torn between a 4 and 5-star rating and I don't think I'll be completely happy with either one - but if you're a second chance romance fan, then it's definitely a fun read.

The story follows Jasmine, a woman whose career (and possibly life) needs a boost. She's a thirty-something divorcee still living in her hometown, and her last job imploded in a big way. When she's offered the chance at a new job as a PR person, Jasmine jumps at the opportunity. Unfortunately, it involves bringing her high school boyfriend turned sports star back home for a visit. Jasmine and Matt only dated for a few months - 17 years ago - but Jasmine could tell that Matt had the potential to break her heart. So she dumped him without warning, and Matt has never really understood why. Now that they're older and wiser, the chemistry is still there... and a fake relationship for the cameras brings all those feelings back to the surface.

In case you're wondering, I have not read the first two books in this series - and it was not an issue. This one has me curious how Matt's siblings' love stories play out, and the books can be read in any order (except the epilogue). This was easy to binge in one sitting and felt more developed than a novella. It's more like a short, fast-paced novel. The overall feel is light and low angst, with plenty of chemistry and likable characters. I really liked Matt, and I would've seriously enjoyed a whole book with these two. If you're looking for a fun and sexy holiday read, then this is definitely a good one.

    Where do I even begin?
Meet Jasmine Collingwood. She was a football cheerleader in high school who broke things off with the school's hockey player Matt all because he was going places that she felt she was not. Fast forward seventeen years, and Jasmine is now a PR agent who gets hired by the town's inn and tree farm owner to help bring in more sales. The catch? She absolutely cannot call Matt Kringle to come help after his siblings have tried for weeks.
Meet Matt Kringle. Matt is the son of the town's local inn and Christmas tree farm, gets broken up in high school by his then girlfriend Jasmine, graduates and then joins Chicago's hockey team, the Warriors. Matt has jumped from girl to girl since then, broken many bones, and is now benched because of his most recent injury. All while his siblings are at home struggling to keep the family business going after their dad took a fall and broke his foot.
This adorable story is a second chance high school romance with some mishaps along the way that has you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering if Matt and Jasmine get back together, or if they keep things strictly professional. Thanks to Julie Kross for writing such a cute, slightly steamy holiday story that has managed to pull on every single one of my heart strings. I absolutely cannot wait to dive further into the rest of the series and explore all that Julie has to offer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lighthearted and engaging Xmas story
Reviewed in Australia on November 6, 2021
Julie Kriss is one of my favourite romance writers, so even as a paid-up member of the Grinch Society, this was an automatic buy for me.

It is hard not to fall for Matt, his grumpy exterior hiding a heart of purest sugar. As he falls back in love with sunshiny Jasmine, he begins to re-evaluate his worth away from the ice.

This book is full of Julie Kriss’s usual clever dialogue and deft characterisation. Perhaps fitting for a book about a family celebration, the steam level is moderate, but none-the-less swoony.

If you’re in my part of the world, wait for Xmas Eve, grab a hammock and an iced lolly and spend a happy afternoon imagining a white Xmas with the Kringles.

A sweetly entertaining read for the holidays.

What to talk about this delicious and refreshing find at the best time of year

Jingle Bell Beard brings with it a second chance romance, with relationships and a family so amazing that it makes you want to get into the pages and go to that cozy world

I started this reading thinking "Wow it's going to be a book like any other" but it was more than that, despite having the simplest story in the world, and that's what makes it so good. Seeing the protagonists reuniting and reconnecting after so many years brings a euphoria and a jovial happiness to us readers. We see them fall in love, break up, grow up, have other relationships and get involved again, I used those words because love never left them.

Jas and Matt are passionate and the author manages to develop all the feelings in a simple and fluid way that makes you fall in love with every word and feeling uttered. The writing is very simple, fast, and shows many emotions through them, is a book that I indicated and will continue indicating because it brought me a kind of nostalgia and literary passion that I have not felt in a long time.

Lovely Christmas read about getting a second chance with the one you let get away. Matt is a big, gruff and adorable. Jasmine comes across as flighty in the beginning but as you get to understand her it’s more about lack of confidence.
Lovely characters with a sweet HEA.
