    I couldn’t put this book down and finished it in a day! The story is amazing and heartbreaking. And the author has written it so beautifully. I’m a lover of words and description so I was hooked instantly. Joey is a sweetheart, looking for love and acceptance. I just wanted to hug him and take all his hurt away. Then he meets the rather dreamy Rick who gives Joey exactly what he needs.
    This was my first Daddy dom read as well as first book from this author and now I want to read more!!!

    This book was really good. I really did like it. The story flow pretty well the characters are well-developed it ended with a happy for now but not with a cliffhanger so that I love. Overall I give this book four stars. No I didn't give it five stars for a few reasons. One it was written in the present tense and that absolutely irks my nerve. Like it's so hard for me to follow a book written in present tense because it just doesn't flow right to me. Second while it was real written in the characters well-rounded it was really short so it moved fast. Other than those two issues I love the book. had it not been for those two issues I would have given his book five stars

    This book was the ultimate hurt/comfort mixed with a huge dose of sweet, gooey, marshmallow fluff. Rick is not only a successful businessman, but a protective Daddy Dom. Joey is not only a dedicated worker, but a boy in need of protection. They are the perfect mix. Watching their relationship develop and how much care and effort Rick put into making Joey feel safe and worthy made me melt. This was a lovely story.

    Overall Rating: 4 Stars. The writing was good, but I felt the book was a little short. I fell in love with the characters and really wanted them to find their happy ending.

As if this was so long that it'd have to be continued in another title.  I didn't see anything about part 1 or serials in the blurb, I thought I was getting a whole story. :(

    This is more than Age Gap or Daddy/Boy. This is a story about seeing beyond, about survival, and about finding love, hope, and perseverance in unlikely places. Having grown up with a mother's whose job was to help victims of abuse this story really got to me because I truly know that there are people evil enough to do harm, and that there are people strong enough to survive it. I absolutely fell in love with these two, and I cannot wait to see where their love and courage takes them.

    This is a good beginning to a new series. However, as others have stated, I didn't know until the end of the book that it was going to be a series!

    Rick and Joey were really good together. Rick is a great "Daddy," patient and kind and loving. Joey has been through so much, he deserves someone who is not only willing to put his needs first, but who truly wants to take care of him.

    I am very much looking forward to the next installment.

    💖 OMG I loved Joey so much his story but its a hard one to read but he's got Rick now. Triggers are hugely included that relates to Joey's past Dom which are not for the faint hearten (it made me cringe in parts) The ending includes an HFN which will continue in the next book. Hot sexy scenes and a lot of trust also other characters not being nice.

    Rick 40+ yrs the head of his company tries to correct a problem with one of his contracts.
    Joey 28ish yrs was 6 months working with them gets called to see the boss and wonders why.

    This was a very painful book to read, the extreme physical and mental torture and abuse Joey had suffer from his ex is stunningly horrifying and graphically described. This author did an amazing job, she admits to painfully researching and struggled to write it. Ricks gentle patience with Joey is heartwarming and a little unexpected from the Rick we first meet in the story. I am going straight into book two of this trilogy.

    A very emotional, intense read. Heartbreaking truths regarding domestic abuse disguised as kink. To say I enjoyed this , is the wrong choice of words, as no body likes reading about abuse, even if it's fiction based on truths. This book was powerful, it stirs emotions in the reader. I did, however enjoy reading Joey's opening up to Rick and seeing the relationship start to blossom. I'm very much looking forward to the next book.
