Just Friends at the Doggy Spa: A Sweet Small Town Romantic Comedy (Finding Love at the Doggy Spa) Kindle Edition

Could walking down the aisle turn the best man into the man of my life?

My best friend is marrying the man of her dreams (not jealous at all, really), and yours truly is the maid of honor. Note the ‘maid’ part. Best man Joey – hunky, funny, suave Joseph Buckley – is just a friend. I repeat it to myself over and over. Just a friend. Doesn't matter that he flirts with me like the armageddon is coming, all he ever calls me is "buddy".

In my day job, I’m the cool, collected one responsible for settling the puppies down. But Joey has turned me into a giggling, googly-eyed mess.

Then, during the rehearsal things, get a little too close between us. Did that just happen? Did he…? Did I…?

If I don’t tell him how I really feel before our friends' wedding, I just might lose the best chance I’ve got for forever love.

But is Joey like those crazy pups that never settle down?

Just Friends at the Doggy Spa is full of wholesome heartwarming giggles and a rescue dog who does the rescuing himself!

Rita and Joey are friends. Rita's best friend Amelia and Joey's brother Rob are getting married. Three weeks before the wedding, Amelia comes to Rita for help planning the wedding. Complications ensue. It was fun, heartwarming and full of misbehaving dogs. There was character growth. I really enjoyed the flow of the story. I will read more by this author.

"Every time we meet it's like I open myself up like a book, and she reads it"

Best friend to Amelia, Rita and brother to Rob, Joey take on the big project of planning Amelia and Rob's wedding in just 2 weeks. They throw themselves into the task with gusto as Maid of Honor and Best Man. They work really well together, but there's just one problem ~ they are pining away and crushing on each other, but both are too timid to do anything about it.
Although this is Rita and Joey's story, I'm glad to see the continuation of Amelia and Rob's story, as well.

Rita is so lovable with her belly laughing, do anything for her friends persona.
Joey seems like he'd be an all around fun guy to hang out with. He is so sweet with his Mom, too!

I really enjoy this quick, easy, cute, sweet, clean, slow burn, fun, well written series and look forward to more.

This was so much fun to read. I loved that Rita and Joey rose to the challenge 9f planning Rob and Amelia's wedding in 2 weeks! I loved how all the people come together to make everything happen. Also watching Rita and Joey deal with the hard things life was throwing at them in the midst of all that and how they grew through it was well done.

Joey and Rita are best friends. They are thrown together to plan a wedding and things get a little out of hand. They can't decide if they are friends or they want to date. A great story with lots of laugh out loud humor.

This was a cute read but lacked some chemistry for me. It didn't have enough of Rita and Joey together. I like interaction, communication and flirting to see the chemistry and why they like each other. I didn't get enough of that in this book. I like that they had to plan the wedding together but I felt as though once they would get together to talk about it something would come up and one of them had to leave. To much time on the Doggy spa and Joey's job. Not enough with them connecting. I received this book for my honest opinion.

This clean romance was filled with craziness and chaos. Amelia did nothing to plan her wedding and panicking turns to Rita hoping she can pull it together for her in three weeks. I thought it was impossible, but thank goodness they have friends with connections. Adding in a stray dog that is not quite housebroken, Rita's estranged mother, and two friends who were were attracted to each other but not sure they could get past friendship. Joey was extremely clueless thinking that calling Rita buddy repeatedly would make him anything other than friend-zoned with her. He's also been a serial dater so I can see why Rita wouldn't want to ruin their friendship over an attraction that could be fleeting.

    Great characters, enjoyable to read.

Fur babies deserve HEA. The bonus is when their human family finds HEA too. Full disclosure I did read “Christmas Love at the Doggy Day Spa” and “Hate to Love the Inspector” along with the epilogues first, although each can be read as stand alone. I have to confessed “Just Friends” had me rotf laughing. #spoiler..The dogs’ personalities and how they reflect their human parents cracked me up & I couldn’t wait to read what antics “Sir,” the “drop-off,” boxer pulled next.

#spoiler “Buddies,” Joey and Rita, find themselves wondering how to cope with Sir’s new arrival along with planning their brother/BF wedding in 2 weeks. Let the games begin. How does Rita plan a wedding with someone she has “feelings” for and deal with her estranged mother coming to live with her for a month? Joey sometimes clueless nature and job stress adds to the fun as he and Rita find their way to their HEA as only they can do.

I really appreciated how Joey & Rita’s jobs integrated with their story and reflected how they were a part of who they were… people in regular careers, happy with their work.

This is a great read to lift your spirits and tickle your funny bone while looking at some difficult life issues.

Couldn’t wait to get to the end. Story is, like all the in previous books, at some point hilarious, serious, wedding drama. And full of love and dogs. What is not to love?! Please read it, you will love it.
It’s late, but hopefully I’ll finish her next book by 7 am.
    Happy reading

I feel like the author did a bit of copy and paste with this book and the previous one. The book had the exact same feel to it. It was good, it was cute, it was a fast and easy read, it was light and had lots of humor and this time around also some heavy subjects, but it felt like it was a bit of the same formula, just other characters, other trope. There still was too little romance going on, sometimes it was even awkward seeing these two together.
I do recommend it because I did love reading it, but these books need some space in between reading both.
