    I was a little nervous about reading this book because Enemies to Lovers generally isn’t my favorite type of story to read, but I am so glad I took a chance on this story. It was AMAZING!!! I think this might be one of my all time favorites by Charity Ferrell to date.

    Just Neighbors had everything I look for in a 5 star read. I was laughing at times, yelling at my kindle. blushing and even crying. This book had my emotions all over the place. I had a hard time putting this book down. I truly didn’t want it to end!!!

    Just Neighbors is the 4th book in Charity Ferrell’s Blue Beech Series. They are all standalone novels with interconnected characters. I don’t truly believe that these books have to be read in order. As I said this is an enemies to lovers story and is told in Dual POV. I thought the flow and pace of the story was spot on. I didn’t really know what to expect from Chloe and Kyle’s story, but I was pleasantly surprised while reading this story. I truly didn’t expect it to be as emotional as it was. The back story as well as things that happen during the story, truly broke my heart. I am happy to report that Charity was able to put my heart back together in the end :)

    In this book we follow Kyle and Chloe’s story. Kyle Lane is well known in Blue Beech and also well liked. He comes from a well off family, but he is determined to forge his own path, without his dad’s help. We met Kyle first in Just Exes. He is Gage’s bff and partner with the police department. Chloe Fieldgain is the girl from the other side of the tracks. She had a horrible upbringing and is determined to make something of her life. Kyle and Chloe have a history from something that happened in High School. It ended badly, and now Chloe can’t stand Kyle. Even more so now that he is her neighbor. But Kyle just loves ruffling her feathers. I loved Kyle in Just Exes but I fell for him even more after reading this story. I loved seeing this sweet and loving side of Kyle. I also loved Chloe. She is such a strong and independent heroine. I think everyone needs to meet Chloe…her story will break your heart but what she’s done with her life will make you cheer for her to get her HEA!!!

    All I can really say is READ THIS BOOK!! If you love an enemies to lovers story, this is probably one of the best I have read in a long time. Trust me this story will suck you in and you won’t know what’s to come as you read this story!!!

    This is the first book from this series I’ve read and I’m not sure if it’ll be the only one or not; not because it’s bad but because it’s just so different. The author says angst is her happy place and I can feel that!

    This is definitely not your normal romance. In fact, I’m not sure I’d say it’s a romance at all as much as it is just a book that tells about life, with all of the ups and downs that goes with it. Very realistic while still being good.

    However, I really don’t see this book as much of a romance as I expected going into it. I see it as almost like us readers starting off with a couple who has already been in love for a while but aren’t sure if they’ll be growing together or apart through the hardships their lives are hitting them with. They often were working through issues that happened decades ago, even though they still impacted people in present day. So there really wasn’t much getting to know each other as there was moving past the past. At times I even felt a little bit of a disconnect where they jumped to being together vs not being together so quickly, especially for us readers where it felt like we were kind of playing catch up for the majority of the book. And when we weren’t necessarily playing catch up, they seemed to be heavily focused on sex. But I do understand that some people do that in real life.

    It’s a good book! But it is definitely a brutal rollercoaster ride, just as life is! While I didn’t really get the “falling in love” aspect of the main couple, the author was really good at articulating a very realistic story that ended with a couple happy together. It did a good job at showing how the past can continue to impact people. Though, I feel like I would’ve liked to have a bit more transition and more substance that wasn’t just “angst” (or just brutal towards the end) or sex. It seemed like all of this bad stuff happens throughout the majority of the book, something even worse happens, and suddenly they’re together and everything is fine. That being said, I definitely recommend this book! Just don’t go into it expecting a normal love story and definitely be prepared to feel some serious emotions.

    Let me start by saying that I really liked the first 75%. This was the first book by this author and I was already looking up other books.....But all of a sudden a couple of things happened that came out of nowhere. I don't know if it was a "twist" but it was sudden, depressing, and unnecessary. Maybe the author wanted a big ending, but(in my opinion) it was awful. I only finished the story to see what happened. This book was free. I am scared to pay and read anything more from this author because I don't want another book like this.

    This book deals with a lot of emotional baggage from high school and coming from a not so great home situation. The people who rise out of this are amazing, strong but still vulnerable. A forgive and work through it style of romance. Gloria’s story line broke my heart.

He had humiliated her so that her school life was miserable and having him live next door just rubbed it in. Kyle was determined to get her to talk to him after all it had been ten years . He was from a very wealthy family and Chloe was from a trailer park with a druggy mother and sister. The dialogue between them was funny until things turned serious. Almost didnt give it a five when the ending was so abrupt but its a good story and i will read it again.

    OMG fantastic book. Man does the author hit the emotional scale with this storyline. I cried while reading it, rejoiced, laughed, scowled, chuckled, smiled, and the list goes on. that is the mark of a great book rather than a good book when the author can make your emotions go all over the place while reading the story.
    Kyle and Chloe really made me laugh how they interacted with each other and both refused to back down.
    Chloe has been thru so very much negative in her life from a single drug addict mom, no dad, an older sister turning out just like her mother, no money, the whole town looking down on her because of her circumstances despite her being nothing like her reputation then on top of that the one time she likes a boy and thinks finally something good is going to happen to her the entire thing blows up in her face and she is treated worse than ever.
    Kyle is the rich son of the local big wig in town, the mayor. he knows nothing of struggle, of having nothing, of being hungry and struggling just to survive day by day then he goes and makes a stupid teenage mistake which costs the girl he likes Chloe more heartache and ends any chance of being with her.
    10 yrs pass and hard feelings remain, hurt remains, embarrassment remains and to top if off Kyle her nemisis moves into the house next door and continues to remind her of all the hurt and sadness she had to live thru.
    The author did a fantastic job on character development, story line, description and creating characters that truly came to life. She made me feel like these were real ppl in a real town and I was living life among them while reading the story.
    This is a new author for me and I can truly say I will be anxiously reading more of her work. I already have a second book in this series waiting for me to open it.
    I can't recommend this book highly enough to those who love happy endings, true love over coming hardship and all obstacles, real life story lines, struggles, and successes.
