A nice quick holiday read.
Miles & London Friends at one point in their life, a full circle comes and they meet again. The what-ifs are answered after spending so many years apart wondering what their lives would be if things were said and done differently in the past. After spending a couple of days in Miles home the chemistry that was there so many years ago is still strong and alive. "My firefly. A bright spark of light in my otherwise dark sky."

    Miles and London knew each other in high school and almost had a thing one night after graduation. One heart-stopping kiss, and then Miles was gone. But London Canterbury, with her stunning violet eyes, became the girl Miles measured every other woman by, with none of them measuring up.

    Years later, a few days before Christmas, Miles rescues London when she has a car mishap during a snow storm. He wants desperately to give in to all those old feelings that come roaring to the surface, yet Miles knows it will only destroy him that much more when she leaves after the storm to be with her family for Christmas.

    Y'all, this one will sląy your heart. Miles is very similar to his rescue dog, Betsy, who was treated badly by her previous owner. Life in general has treated Miles pretty badly at times. And while he doesn’t need a certain pop artist's music to calm him the way Betsy does, he's so afraid to take a chance, expecting he'll just be disappointed and alone again.

    Then along comes London, with her inner beauty, innate goodness and calm personality, the perfect counterpoint to Miles. She sees clear through his gruff, guarded exterior to his beautiful, scarred heart, handling it as carefully as the most exquisite, priceless glass sculpture.

    These two are so perfect for each other and their story is beyond magnificent. Yes, they have amazing chemistry and get downright smexy with enough heat to melt the snow from the worst of blizzards. But it's the soul-deep emotion that rìpped and twìsted my heart only to leave it blissfully satisfied at the end.     London is on her way to her to parents' house for the holidays but a snowstorm leads to an accident and then a second-chance encounter with Miles, her former high school classmate and teenage crush who gave her a mind-blowing kiss then disappeared the next day.

    I don't know how this author managed to pack so much emotion into a novella length story, but she sure did. This novella was sweet yet spicy and filled with tons of heartfelt moments. Normally, I prefer to read how two characters come together, so I was surprised at how desperately I turned the page and how quickly I devoured this story. But the chemistry sizzled between them and there were so many beautiful "couple" moments packed into this novella, there wasn't a doubt in my mind of a happy future for them.

    The cast of characters were wonderful (seriously, everyone should have a father like London's) and all made for a relatively light read with a little angst mainly stemming from Miles's inner struggle. While I completely understood the lack of confidence fueled by his past, for a novella-length story, it popped up a lot and became repetitive. I wanted to hug him and shake him at the same time while begging him to just take that second chance fate had thrown into his path. But he more than made up for it at the end and the added epilogue had me smiling and happy sighing.

    Oh my.... What a great story.... Miles found London in a snow bank. She was injured. He realized that he knew her from before. Meeting her in high school and falling hard for her! He left right after graduation to join the army. He now longer had a home now that he was 18. Miles was in the system since he was 8 yrs old. He fell in love with London back then and is still in love with her when he found her! London was traveling to upper state New York for Christmas with her family. She was driving a Porsche, she wasn't worried, it was only to be a few inches. But, it was snowing so hard she missed her exit. She had no cell service and didn't know what to do to get out of her car, she had blood all over her face. Now, all I am saying is that this book had it all, drama, funny at times and love. I enjoyed reading this book and this author has done amazing job in writing it, so read it, it's good. Enjoy!!!

    Gosh this Christmas novella came out of nowhere and knocked me right in the feels. I loved London and Miles's story - their second chance romance was absolutely beautiful. I loved the unexpected nature of their reunion - with London ending up in a snowy accident on the way to her family's home for Christmas and Miles being the one who found her. I loved watching their romance reignite - their chemistry was palpable, both physically and emotionally and I was captivated from start to end. This is a definitely holiday romance reread.

    I loved everything about this book! The characters, the plot and the setting all click together to create my favourite Christmas romance ever.

    I'm a sucker for a good Christmas themed love story. I love tales of snow, family and love. There are many clichè, sweet and somewhat cringe worthy stories that go over the top with festive spirit, but I'm happy to say Just One Kiss isn't one of those. The Vermont winter setting and the Christmas timeframe were enough to give me the festive feels.

    Although a shorter length novel, these characters have depth and substance. London and Miles are a perfect match, they just needed to get that into their own heads. The plot isn't complicated, yet it is interesting and held my attention right til the end. The sexy times are steamy, but still held emotion and relevance. I'm looking forward to re reading this book again next Christmas already!
