    This was such a beautiful love story with the added hot and steamy sexy times between Luc and Kel. I read this story in one day it captivated me.

    There is so much longing in this story that the MC's don't talk about or don't think they should talk about so early on in their relationship. Luc is so protective of his boy that it was so wonderful to read. You could actually feel how their feelings were for each other and how scared they were that they thought the other wasn't feeling them. Luckily though, Kel grows to understand Luc’s true desires and the truth of their dynamic on his own, making the sweetest romantic gesture to show his lover how perfect they are for each other.

    This was such a marvelous story!!!

A story that shows the very natural progression of a real life Daddy/Boy relationship, where the boy isn’t a twink or a screw up, and...well ok the Daddy has his life together and enough money to be comfortable, but not insane wealth. This book takes its time to unfold the developing relationships, and while that’s a great thing, it’s a long book where the relationship doesn’t start until the 50% mark, and the use of the word “Daddy” really doesn’t happen until the last few pages of the story. That was disappointing but the implied “Daddy” was in the entire back 50% so it was still good. The sex was VERY HOT, graphic, and a passionate mix of loving and dominant “do what I said” hold onto the furniture rough. It was great, and what I’ve come to expect from this author. Great story!

    Following the journey of Kel as he grows up in a deeply religious family and his torment along the way was a difficult road. Kel always longed for love, acceptance and the ability to make his own choices. His mother and father, lived only for the church and forced their beliefs and expectations on their only son.
    Over the years while growing up, Kal recalls the friendly neighbor next door and times spent reading with the man who showed him kindness when his own parents couldn't give him the time of day. Until at 18, it became more for both Kel and Luc, each choosing to deal with that realization in their own way.
    After a tragety, Kel faces some hard truths and Luc realizes he can't stand by any longer. This book is a slow road of discovery, patience, and love for both men. Loved it!

    This is one of those books that I wanted to love, and it being a Daddy/boy book, I was sure I would.
    Only it fell short for me the further in to the story I came.

    A story about a caring Daddy that picks up the pieces of a boy falling apart after a personal tragedy tend to tick all the boxes and Luc was caring. He was a worrier and wanted only the best for Kel and I would have liked more from their interactions than the sexual.

    Which brings me to the points which broke it for me, Kel had such hang ups before getting with Luc, so severe that he could hardly climax without being riddled with guilt and at times be unable to get an erection because of how he was raised.

    But as soon as the two start sleeping together, Kel have no hang ups other than the odd mention, I would have at least expected him to have some trouble to perform at the start of things. Instead he becomes more and more in to what Luc likes.

    And for a virgin that haven't watched much porn he doesn't second guess anything, never uncertain and his religious hang ups have more or less vanished.

    So what I had expected of the book was more anguish about himself, his guilt about not going to his parents when he first thought of it, and maybe slowly getting to terms with his own sexuality.
    It started out well with how he could recite the scripture for any event but it seemed tossed out the window in favour for an abundance of sex scenes.
    It's a nice book, I just wanted something more than this.

    I just love a sweet Daddy/boy book! This also has age gap and hurt / comfort, all written beautifully by KC Wells. She does such a great job of showing how confusing and painful it is to be a gay kid raised in a strict religious environment, and then to have to confront the grief of losing the parents who raised you this way.

    Luc’s kindness and support are so genuine, it is clear that he is trying to do right by Kel rather than being a skeevey neighbor.

    The result is a sweet heat that I will read again and again. ❤️

    I really enjoyed this one. Luc has lived next to Kel and his parents pretty much since Kel was born. He and Kel got to know each other over the years, but once Kel became an adult they both did their best to avoid one another. When Kel's parents die unexpectedly, Luc is there to offer support and help. And when it's clear that Kel needs some time away from the memories, Luc offers his spare bedroom until Kel can get a grip on his grief and what he wants to do next.

    I loved how Luc was there for Kel, but still gave him the space he needed to deal with everything he was going through. I also liked that things moved slowly from becoming friends to lovers and then adding in some kink into their lives. This story is not the typical Daddy-kink story, so if you're expecting that, you may be disappointed in this one. However, it felt better that Kel, a sheltered virgin, didn't jump or get pushed into any kink he wasn't ready for. I will say that as repressed sexually as Kel was, I was a bit surprised at how he opened up so much to Luc once they crossed that line. Their sex life was really hot, even before any kink showed up. However, there were times that I wanted to smack Luc for not adhering to his own rule about honesty and no secrets. I was quite proud of Kel when he stood up for himself and Luc; I loved seeing him stay calm and be so confident in himself.

    All in all, this is a hot story with little angst. I definitely will be rereading this one when I need a pick-me-up story.

    I love when I read a book that leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy and this one did exactly that. I was afraid of the potential angst with the whole "gays belong in hell/bigoted christians" thing but Kel was fantastic about it. And Luc (sigh) was dreamy, the perfect mix of kinky and caring.     This was such a beautiful book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It follows the story of Kel and Luc and is full of nurture and love.
    Kel is the son of a preacher and the household he has grown up in was very religious, anti gay and devoid of emotion. Kel is away at college and one weekend decides to make a surprise visit home as he hasn't visited in a while. When he gets home however, he finds his parents have gone to their cottage for the weekend and that's where tragedy strikes. Neighbour Luc is there to pick up the pieces when the police deliver the bad news that his parents have passed and he is also there to help with all the arrangements etc and to take care of a shocked Kel. When Kel spirals into depression Luc gets worried and decides to take him under his wing and help him recover from his loss. The two men have always felt an attraction to each other through the years but due to the age gap and the parents religion have never dreamed it could go anywhere. As Kel slowly recovers, his feelings for Luc deepen, but he thinks Luc is straight. That is until he hears a message left on Lucs answer phone when Luc is out. That evening they have a long discussion and Luc becomes Kels teacher and lover. They make their way through a lot of ups and downs, including a surprise visit from Kels granddad who is a missionary and doesn't like what he finds! I totally saw that coming but it was very well written and bought some more humour to the story. When Kel manages to get over the self hate of being a gay man that had been drummed into him through his religious upbringing, he becomes very open to all sorts of new ideas which makes it very interesting for the reader!
    I found this book to be a very beautiful age gap romance and thoroughly enjoyed reading it from start to finish and for me it had just the right amount of Daddy/boy nurture that I enjoy in a story. Definitely worth reading.

    Kel and Luc are wonderful characters.
    The story is very slow burn.

    Kel is a student who comes home for a visit. Shortly afterwards, his parents died. Luc is Kel's neighbor, 23 years older and he was friends with Kel's parents.

    Luc helps Kel in this difficult situation and the two are approaching each other very slowly.
    It captivated me how K.C Wells built up the relationship of the two, step by step, very slowly and comprehensible to everyone.
    She also has described ä the fears and concerns of Kel and Luc really well.
    I love this daddy kink story, the very hot sex scenes are fantastic too.

    For me an absolute must read for anyone who likes really good, believable characters, and a great kink.
