United We Kill (Sentenced to War Book 10) Kindle Edition
The enemy Naxli keep advancing, taking humans prisoner and destroying human worlds. But this isn’t the Naxli’s first rodeo, and humanity is not alone.
Other races have suffered at the hands of the enemy, and they’ve proposed that humanity join them and present a united front to defeat the Naxli once and for all.
The Congress of Humanity deploys the First Human Expeditionary Brigade to join with the alien military to take the fight to the Naxli. But with seventeen known “allies,” all with different goals and perspectives, how can they form a unified, integrated fighting force? It’s been hard enough for humans to cooperate throughout history, and now the problem has just logarithmically increased.
Still, a mission is a mission, and Gunnery Sergeant Reverent Pelletier, Perseus Union Marine Corps, is going to do what he can to create an effective fighting unit, even if he has to beat in some alien heads to get it done.

About the authors
I am a retired Marine infantry colonel and now a full-time writer living in Colorado Springs with my wife Kiwi and twin five-year-old girls, Danika Dawn and Darika Marie. I am a two-time Nebula Award Finalist, a two-time Dragon Award Finalist, and a USA Today Bestselling writer.
I published my first work back in 1978, a so-so short story titled "Secession." Since then, I have been published in newspapers, magazines, and in book format in fiction, political science, business, military, sports, race relations, and personal relations fields. I returned to writing fiction in 2009, and I currently have over 100 titles published, 80 being novels. My novelette, "Weaponized Math," was a finalist for the 2017 Nebula Award, "Fire Ant" was a finalist for the 2018 Nebula Award for Best Novella, "Integration" was a finalist for the 2018 Dragon Award for Best Military Science Fiction or Fantasy Novel, and "Sentenced to War" was a finalist for the 2021 Dragon Award in the same category.
My undergraduate degree was earned at the U. S. Naval Academy (Class of 1979), and I have attended graduate school at U. S. International University and the University of California, San Diego, earning a masters and doctorate. I am a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the US. Naval Academy Alumni Association, and the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America where I'm serving as the Nebula Award Commissioner.
I have rather eclectic tastes. I have won awards in photography, cooking, writing, and several sports, earning national championships in rugby and equestrian events. When I'm not writing, I'm reading, cooking, going to the gym, taking my girls fishing, or traveling. I attend quite a few cons over the course of a year, and love meeting other people who love books.
I write because I love it. I only hope that others might read my work and get a bit of enjoyment or useful information out of my efforts.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2022These are some of my favorite books. This series rocks. I love all the series JN Chaney's authors put out but I have actually got to watch these characters grow up from being arrogant children to thinking, empathetic soldiers. Each book the ones who live grow more emotionally mature. When someone dies for good in the book, it is like losing a friend IRL. I anxiously await another book like an addict needing my fix. Lol, before yone gets all up in arms I'm a non-using addict so I can comment on that before someone decides this wasn't politically correct. I love these stories and I'm thankful that books are now my addiction. Thank Brazee and Chaney for giving me something awesome and letting me watch these characters grow. Keep up the awesome work. You guys rock

- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2022Good series, lots of action.
I want to spend more time on what would have made this series great! There's some great characters and some plot lines that never get explained or exploited. We really should know more about Tomiko, Bob, Bundy,etc...they are very "thin" which is just too bad. Also, we never really learn anything about the Centaurs or what's about the new aliens? What's going on with AI Punch? There's a lot of plot lines where authors could give Rev a break and take us on some new adventures with the other Marines or MDS troops. I was hoping for some more backstory with MDS. Finally, I think Rev still seems very "young" or even "naive" for someone having had so much action, I was happy to see some growth and introspection in book 10. He finally is growing up as a person.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2022Now that humans know that other races are also fighting The Naxli, the military is rejigged to combine forces. However, the other species regard humans with suspicion due to their previous infighting so they will have to prove themselves worthy of joining the fight. This leads to some friction, and initially a lack of cohesion and order results in chaos. Overtime, the different species learn how to communicate and fight alongside each other as they attack strategic outposts held by the Naxli. During this we learn that the underwater Naxli were mimicking a race that they had previously wiped out! There is also an inferior (military wise at least) race also translated as Naxli that are working with the Naxli as the humans know them.
In the ongoing battle the powers that be have decided to recruit IBHU from the general populace and hope that they can be trained to fight, which of course in many cases is an unmitigated disaster....
At least two subterranean missions are performed with unexpected findings.....
This book tells the tale of how the different species come together to fight the Naxli describing several of the missions and paints Rev in a new light ever since the Naxli killed his brother at the brother's wedding. Punch also seems to be becoming more human-like...
An entertaining book with much kick-a**ery and suspense with drama, friendship and personal developments thrown in....

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
As always a damn good read. Flows along where's the next one?
nicely, just about believable, strong characters and the hero yet again accidentally saves the day.
