    Leo and Eliana

    Prologue opens with the Bianchi's, third richest family in the US, sixth in the world. Leonardo Bianchi is in a graveyard, kneeling in the freshly turned soil covering his twin sister's grave, Isabella. Spurning the war against Francis Roux and the rest of the Roux family.

    Send the book opens up for yours prior when Leo was 17 and Eliana 16. Eliana Roux''s father was being charged with the murder and Leo's sole purpose and focus was to make her life miserable; figuratively strip her life bare.

    From childhood crush to hatred. Blamed by association, she was left alone, carrying the burden and guilt for years.

    "Present Day" has their ages at 21 and 20, respectively.

    The war between them still rages with the added sexual tension and aggression. Families start becoming involved in their bitter hatred even as their own personal defenses start crumbling.

    POV is split between the two, the beginning more towards Eliana, however Leo's chapters were intense with quite a bit of underlying humor. It was quite refreshing. LP

    The plot thickens around the murder steeped in mystery. From slow-burn to explosive, this enemies to lovers with a bit of second-chance romance (okay, dark romance) was quite a suspensful read! The depth of Eliana's character was fantastic.

    Looking forward to Vow of Hell - whether it's Saint's or Ares' story, not sure, but am leaning towards Saint.

    I would have picked 5 stars if it wasn't for the cliche ending. I enjoyed the book, mostly. I felt that Eliana insisting on needing space and time at the ending was very out of left field. The speech by Leo at his college graduation reminded me of Hilary Duff in The Cinderella Story which made it very cliche. I would have enjoyed to read more about Eliana's mother and her sentencing. It really felt like the story skirt past that story line which I thought was a huge part of the book. I did enjoy Eliana and Leo's banter in an enemies turned lovers way. I think their story was well written (other the ending). I would recommend this book to anyone looking to read an enemies to lovers without divulging much into any storyline besides the two main love interests.

Leo and Eliana were close friends who seemed destined until life forced them apart. He made a considerable effort into hating her and making her life miserable for what was perceived after her father was charged for his twin sisters death. But through all the hate and hurt you could see the obsession and the want. He did what he did because he was suffering such loss and he wanted eliana and that made him hurt more for the betrayal he felt for Isabella. Great story. So many twists and turns. Cole, her dad, her mom, wow just wow. It was like a mini soap opera. Loved it. Can’t wait for next story.

    What I liked most about this story was that it’s an unrequited enemies to lovers plot line with a heavy true dose of the enemies part. There are some really messed up things going on in this story line and it works. The characters are slightly underdeveloped but I think that’s intentional. This spans some time from teen to young adult and I appreciate the set up. The difficult scenario Leo was going through and how Eliana was caught up in it was developed nicely. I would have liked more of the discovery portion at the end to be developed but overall, this was a terrific read. On the spice scale I give it a 3/5 for THAT scene alone though it’s mostly pretty tame on the sex side; new readers might blush, a seasoned reader will smile at the sex scenes.

    This story does have triggering situations some readers may find disturbing.

I don't let CH's stop me from a series but it's refreshing not to have one for once lol. Anyway, great read will probably buy it. Borrowing from KU the author only gets paid the first time you borrow it. If it's good enough for a re read I always buy it. I'll prolly wanna read this one again sometime so it's on the buy list. Gonna go check her other stuff out and start following her now! :)

    I enjoyed the plot and all the twist and turns this story took me on. I could see this playing out on as a Lifetime movie...but without all the sex of course. The one thing I would have liked was a bit more resistance from Eli. I mean, come on! Leo made her life a living hell and had everyone he knew do the same, I thought her forgiveness was a too forthcoming. The ending was great though.

    The book is amazingly written. The way the characters are bound to the society and have flawed perception over certain issues makes this book close to reality. The ages are something I felt were a bit off considering I do not expect a 16 yr old to be this powerful but then money makes up for age so I get the whole point here. The events and they took place were timed really good. The only thing I wish was there was more was the healing process. I thinking the main characters after 4 years of blame game needed a real talk about it and I wished it was there. All and all, the book is great and definitely worth reading if you are into more gray characters without defined lines restricting them.

    First time reading a Clara Elroy book. I was pleasantly surprised. “Kiss of War” captured my attention from page one. Leonardo Bianchi and Eliana Roux have hated one another for years. However, that wasn’t always the case. After Leo’s twin sister is murdered, He becomes consumed with rage and revenge.

    Leo is a total Alpha Ass making sure Eliana takes the brunt of it all. However, she is not one to role over and take his crap. She is a broken soul under all that spice. Yet, she has no problem standing up to her enemy!

    This book was great in so many ways. Leo and Eliana will have you rooting for them from page one. The chemistry between these two are off the charts. It’s hate, tension, secrets, misunderstandings and love all rolled into one. Not to mention the sex scenes between these two were HOT AS HELL.

    Definitely a great read!
