You've Got to be Kitten Me (The Team Spirit Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
Harley Silvain is used to being ignored. Owners prefer the friendlier pet—dogs, not cats—and Harley is anything but sociable. There’s something pleasing about having an owner take care of him, but he’s not sure about this new man, Brad. Harley keeps waiting for Brad to decide he’s too much work. He’s sure he’ll be replaced by a mutt.
When Brad’s friend asks him to take in a pup who has been abused by his owner, Harley hates the idea. It’s one step closer to Brad dropping him, and he’s not willing to let a canine in the house. No matter how many times Brad reassures Harley he’d never leave him for a dog, Harley doesn’t believe it. If they want to make this relationship work, Brad will need to help Harley past his insecurities, or it’ll implode before it even begins.

About the authors
Ki grew up in small town nowhere complaining loudly to anyone who would listen about the never-ending boredom, but among all that solitude was time to write, daily bonfires, and an endless stretch of sky to ripen an overactive imagination. Now, living in Erie, Pennsylvania, Ki enjoys the sandy beaches and appreciates those quiet times a lot more. Ki is a beach bum during the summer, takes on more projects than are strictly healthy, and spends as much time as possible with family.

She's loved stories since before she can remember and has always enjoyed creating characters of her own, even if it did begin with drawing faces on toilet rolls and giving them names. Writing has always been a passion of hers and she's loved the M/M genre since 2004, the first book she read being Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez.
Writing M/M since 2007, Meg has never had the confidence to attempt publishing her own stories, but in 2015, she decided that it was all about to change thanks to the amazing friends she's made in the M/M genre and their support and encouragement. So watch out, world, Meg Bawden is coming out to have some fun!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2020You've Got To Be Kitten Me is the first kitten/cat play book I have ever read. I have read puppy play and I elements of pony play but not kitten/cat play. This book was an eye opener in several ways but predominantly in the way it explains in the context of the book the soul of the man who becomes the Kitten. This book talks of "sinking into his inner kitten" and about our MC kitten loses his "man" as he adopts the characteristics of the kitten. You must read the book to understand. Harley, kitten, is an amazing character and much more real than others in this kink that I have read. He doesn't lose his intelligence or his ability to reason. He knows what he is doing and who he is. He stumbles across Brad who has had "puppies" before but never a kitten. Together they are an amazing couple as they learn each other's emotional as well as physical needs--and I'm not talking about just bedroom antics. Harley needs so much more than that. The affection and love that develops between these two is hard won and so wonderful. I think this is a good book for someone who wants to be introduced to the kink. It is not angst free. It is definitely not a fluffy, light story but is is very good.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2020Harley is as much as a cat as a person could ever be, with a seemingly prickly personality but at the same time the need for attention and affection. And I loved that about him, he was lovable as both a kitty and his human self.
Brad and Harley together was a fun combo, a dog person getting used to the quirky ways of a cat.
There were little things that rubbed me the wrong way, things vanishing and the very sexual way Brad treated Harley at the start but it's a good book, and I liked it a lot.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2020A very sweet romantic book with a lot of hot vivid portrayal of cat play kinks. As I read, I can picture the person Harley turns into a Harley cat, his insecurities, inner struggles for attention and ownership, his hidden kindness and loving nature that shine through. Brad is so good to him, nurturing yet firm to his Harley as a person and as a cat. LOL. Such a sweet read. It is a nice break from the author’s other books which I also enjoy reading. It is also nice to see other characters from other books that are connected here. Very well done! Looking forward to reading the next!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2020There was a lot I like about this book. Most animal play books I’ve read the pets are always sweet and lovey. This book is different. Harley is a cat and he acts like a true cat!! Attitude and all which I loved!!! I felt the ending was abrupt and wasn’t really satisfying for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2021Omg! This is the first, full-on kitty play that I've read and I am totally addicted. The whole kitty dynamic is completely different from puppy play and I loved this! Harley is a cat in human form personified and I just swooned over how Brad, who had only played with "pups" before, quickly fell under his kitty spell. Brad was such a patient and likeable guy, and the perfect compliment to Harley's more prickly nature. The secondary characters added just the perfect amount of substance and agnst to help move the plot along and I really hope to see them again in future books. 100% recommend this book! Loved it!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2020I liked You've Got to be Kitten Me. As I started reading the book, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but as I continued read it and Harley and Brad's relationship progressed, I liked it more and more. Harley does a lot of personal growth in this book and he is a much more likeable person by the end of the book. Brad was likeable throughout the book. It was great reading about a person being a kitty instead of a puppy. It was a nice change. I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited program.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2020I truly loved Harley and Brad. I enjoyed how they came together with Brad striking out at first and how Brad came to understand what it meant to own a Kitty. While I couldn't relate to Harley's level of jealousy, it was portrayed in a way I could sympathize and at times be amused by. It wasn't overdone and instead was an honest look at his insecurities stemming from his past. The entire kickball team was fantastic and I can't wait to read more about Kwan and am hoping for a story about Nicky.
The dynamic between Brad and Harley was fun, sexy, and encompassed two imperfect humans coming together.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2020I enjoyed this story. The characters are fun and caring. Harley might need to let go of his fears and his stats, but his master is there to remind him of what he has to look forward to.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really fun read
This was so much fun,I haven’t read much kitten play but Harley was perfect I could just imagine him hissing at Brad when it was described. They were so cute together, but neither let their insecurities win and although this isn’t a happy ever after, they are certainly heading that way. I smiled so much as I read this book, it was a wonderful read after a long day

5.0 out of 5 stars Kitty play!
This is the first book I've ever read in kitten play and it was fascinating. The way the authors managed cat's personality and developed a character so feline as a person as much as a cat was brilliant. The backstory kept me crying and laughing a lot, and owner and pet made an endearing couple. I enjoyed a lot this book and I can't wait to read more books by these authors.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun read
I really liked it. The audible is good too. I loved Harleys character and his snark and antisocial tendencies… so adorable 😆 and Brad was great too. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two.

3.0 out of 5 stars Alright
This book was just alright I've read lots of puppy kink before so it wasn't about the pet play. I think it was more the writing style, I found it hard to follow as the writing wasn't as smooth as I'd have liked. I found it hard to picture what all was happening, just not a clear picture in my head. But overall it was an alright book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for me
I struggled with this book honestly. I didn't really connect with either main character and felt even the overall plot was a bit boring. Maybe kitty play isnt my thing? I don't know but this book I just didn't get.
