LJ Rivers is the pseudonym for a writing-duo of one older chap and one younger dame. Linn and Jørn are both from Norway, living on opposite corners of the country, so they rarely get to meet face to face. That doesn’t stop them from laughing together, crying together and creating as a team.

They started out as a team by creating the wonderful world of Ruby Morgan, an Urban Arthurian YA Fantasy series. Now, they are expanding into more Fantasy worlds, ready to entertain you with lots of spellbinding magic, twisted intrigue, exciting action, and maybe even a little bit of slow-burn romance.

They also write independently and Linn has published several books under her own and other pen names.

    Another amazing installment of the Ruby Morgan series.
    Every page pulls you deeper into the story, and there is just so much to unpack in this book it's crazy. Each new twist brings revelations that seem so natural, and I found myself wondering how I didn't some of them coming.
    More than anything else, each new book reveals even more of the world, from it's history, to the movers and shakers in the various communities. There is just this amazing depth to everything that it's hard not to want the next book before it's released, so you can learn even more!
    I really don't want to give anything away, but be prepared to start rethinking what you already know about Ruby and the people around her. Ruby's world will never be the same!

    I recieved an ARC copy of Knights of Avalon per my request. Here are my thoughts in the book -

    It's the start of the summer and classes are done for a few weeks, giving Ruby and the gang some much needed respite.... haha! The action is full on yet again as Ruby traverses the shadow realm with Auberon, gets into it with Lancelot, Percival and Gawain, learns more about her powers, meets The Blacksmith and jumps headfirst into a cage fight!
    Another awesome page turner with fabulous world building, cracking dialogue and wonderful characters that come together and support each other just as you would in the real world!

    Literally cannot wait for the next book in this series to find out what Ruby gets up to and into next!

    This series just keeps getting better! I love the incredible world building and the relationships between the characters.

    We get to learn more about Prince Auberon, Avalon, and Ruby's past, and see Ruby developing new powers, some of which take her to a dark place. I love how just when you think you've understood something, the author throws in a new twist that makes you doubt everything!

    There's plenty of action in this book, as Ruby and her friends investigate cage fights in a Magical community. This leads to some unpleasant characters and tense moments, and a few surprises along the way.

    I loved the ending in this book, and I can't wait to read the next one! Highly recommend.
