About the author
Natalie Bennett crafts twisted tales of romantic horror and dark romance where the villain always gets the girl. When she's not immersed in her fictional worlds, you can find her cozied up with a book, indulging in a horror flick, or tending to her family and their beloved fur babies.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2024Listen, Natalie knows how to write a book, I love that she doesn't make things cringy in the smut department, there's always twists and turns that you don't expect and her stories are so captivating. I love this series with my whole heart, it's in my top 15 favorite reads ever. Judas is on another level, the way he speaks to Rhiannon is like poetry and Rhiannon is the best FMC not annoying at all which is nice. I rate the book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and the smut 🌶️🌶️🌶️
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2024First, I'm a fan of all the winks and the way little things give a nod to chess pieces and kingdoms of old. That was fun. Second, black is the name of the game for dear Judas. While we don't dive far enough into the plot and untangle the bigger picture in this book, it is set up really well, and I'm invested, fully intrigued to figure things out. Judas is morally black, but his fierce loyalty of Rhia, even though not fully explained, is unparalled and beautiful. I like our character development, and I'm looking forward to unraveling the mystery.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2024This was phenomenal. Read your triggers. If you enjoy push and pull, cat and mouse, mental games, tough fmc, psychotic mmc, murder, mafia, and everything in between...this is for you.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2021This is one of the milder dark bully romances that I’ve read. Though there is a warning that later on the play gets darker. I’m excited to see where this goes though! The storyline has amazing potential!
I wanted a short & fast read to get me out of a book hang over, & this did the trick! I did feel like the plot & world building was lacking, and the ending was rushed. But regardless, this was a fun read to get lost in for bit.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2021Okay can we talk about the raw and gritty chemistry Jude and Rhiannon have like hold onto your panties they are spicy together. Jude is complete obsessed with Rhiannon and honestly I couldn’t tell if it was love or hate or a bit of both but I was here for it. These two both have this darkness inside them that calls to one another and I really do think they are each others half that will make them whole. There is a whole lot of lies and secrets and I still have so many questions I need answered. I loved all the secondary characters and I am really hoping we get more from them in the next book… Must Read!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2020I was so excited to read Lawless Kingdom. This was my first book by Natalie Bennett and it definitely will not be the last. In fact, I may need to binge on the rest of her collection very soon.
The cover of this book was the first thing to catch my eye and then the blurb sealed the deal for me.
I loved the darkness and mystery that this book held from the very start. The chemistry between the characters made the book great to read as well.
Watching things unravel and spiral out of control held me rapt and on the edge of my seat wanting to know more. As the pieces began to fall into place and brought things to light, I was speechless. By the end I was already dying to know when the next book would be available. This is going to be an incredibly dark and twisted series, and I want to read each and every book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2023I hate when these stories read too cliche to be taken the least bit serious; this book had just the right amount of everything. Just enough sass, drama, and possessiveness for it to be enjoyable. The story line was good and the h didn’t get so sassy that she went overboard with being irrational or picking fights just for the sake of letting everyone in the story know she is a “fighter”. Definitely gonna read the next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2021I absolutely loved this book! Everything from the stunning cover art, to the incredibly hot sex scenes, to the dark characters was amazing! It might not have been quite as dark and depraved as some of Natalie Bennett’s other books but it was still deliciously twisted with promises of something darker to come as Rhiannon and Jude’s story continues. I’ve always been a sucker for elite prep school stories so having that element combined with mafia and the disturbed characters I’ve come to love in Natalie’s stories drew me in and hooked me. I simply couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to see what’s next.

5.0 out of 5 stars oh my…
This was some next level stuff! I’m here for all it! Blood, mayhem and dirty filthy getting down. I’m invested and can’t wait to see where this story goes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice enough start.
Lawless Kingdom is your average bully romance with a spike of gore, because, hey! That's the author's signature writing.
It certainly wasn't my favorite NB's book but I know what she is capable of and I'll definitely be expecting her to deliver more substance in the other installments. More connection, more suspense, more thrill.
This is an enjoyable start, let's see where this is going next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Judas is just .. yeah just read it 🤤
The characters are extremely well written. The story is deliciously dark and is not what you expect.
Judas is everything you want in your fictional evil loveable character. He's dark, hot and downright dirty, the possessiveness he has for Rhia is something I love about obsessive characters. The controlling and threatening tone he has is just hot. I love all this because I know it's just a story and not real life..
Rhia is your typical girl who sees and does things she shouldn't which has consequences years later.. once Judas lays eyes on her, he knows he has to have her.. Rhia knows all to well what Judas Barron wants he gets, even if that means getting rid of the competition..
I can't wait for book 2 this story gripped me from the get go and left me wanting more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark & twisted
I stumbled upon this in a readers group, and wasn't disappointed. It's contains themes readers with triggers should look into before diving in.
However, those that love a possessive, murderous, alphahole who isn't shy with dirty talk, and a female lead who's finding herself, and realising she might belong in this world, will love this book. Heat level I would score 4/5 for me. Narration for audio, I'd give 4.5/5.
For a short book, it really sucked me in. I look forward to reading book 2 & 3!

4.0 out of 5 stars Such a good read!
Some readers know they’re going to read a book based purely on the cover. If that cover grabs you and doesn’t let go you probably don’t even have to read the blurb to know you’re going to give that book a read. Lawless Kingdom was like that for me. The cover art is just so eye-catching that I instantly wanted to know more and I definitely wanted to jump right in. The blurb only solidified that fact. Now, Natalie Bennett is a new author to me so even though I loved the look and sound of the book I really didn’t know what to expect from its content. She definitely followed through from the beautiful cover art though because I polished off this dark beauty in one sitting.
On the face of it Rhiannon Clermont and Judas Barron couldn’t be more different but appearances can be deceiving and that definitely builds the foundation of the ominous presence in this book. Rhiannon is on the outside looking in. For all intents and purposes she seems relatively normal albeit beautiful considering the amount of fighting there is over her. She isn’t wealthy; she lives in a less than modest house with parents whose paternity she appears to question straight off the bat (I’m feeling so much foreshadowing). However, she seems to be fighting some inner darkness and it really doesn’t feel like she’s truly living aside from that night in the prologue which definitely kicked things off with a bang! No pun intended!
Judas, on the other hand, belongs to the most privileged of the kingdom Bennett has built since he's the spawn of the “saintly, all-American golden family who can do no wrong.” Or so it appears. The reality is that Judas is something else entirely: dark, powerful and most definitely savage as the cover describes. The aristocratic families in this book start to scream organised crime (mafia vibes anyone?) the further you delve into the story. The cover definitely gives an accurate representation of the book in just three words: savage, privileged, youth.
Bennett is planting seeds from the very beginning. She drops hints of secrets regularly and not just of the main characters but the characters around them too. The frequency with which some of these seeds are planted has you wondering just how twisted the world the characters live in truly is.
Lawless Kingdom is riddled with crime, darkness, intrigue and characters that I feel we may very well come to love to hate. It definitely leaves you wanting more and sets a solid stage for what’s to come. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series and can’t wait to get back to this seriously lawless kingdom.
