4.2 out of 5 stars 1,138 ratings

A magic user on the run. A sleepy small town filled with shifters, witches and vampires. Will Lucas find refuge, a fated mated, or death?

Lucas used to be a normal person. Was it really so bad that he had a job he didn’t like, and he still lived with his parents? At least he didn’t have balls of light shooting out of him. Oh wait. Yes, he does. And he’s not sure why it’s happening or what to do about it. But it gets worse. Way worse and deadlier than Lucas had ever thought possible.

Running for his life, he ends up in a small town named Saint Lakes and right into the arms of a dragon shifter who claims to be his fated mate.

Bennett enjoys his life as a boat mechanic in his sleepy hometown. He isn’t looking for disruptions. When Lucas comes to town, the last thing he expects is for the sweet, smaller man to be is a witch. He also doesn’t expect blood thirsty vampires either. Bennett will risk everything to protect his town, his clan, and his heart.

Everyone wants a piece of the witch. It’s up to Bennett to keep him safe, but how can he when the enemy keeps getting closer.

Leave it All is the first book in the Saint Lakesseries. This steamy MM Paranormal Romance features fated mates with a size difference, a protective dragon shifter willing to go to any length to protect his mates, and a special witch in need of a soft touch. If you love fated mates, a family willing to fight for each other, and danger around every corner, then you’ll love this spicy romance novel. Each book in the Saint Lakes series ends with a happily ever after.

Buy Leave it All and discover why a boring mechanic's life suddenly becomes a lor more action packed.

I so totally, undeniably, indubitably, loved this book!! :) It had witches, vampires, and shapeshifters of every type. To me it's the more the merrier and less likely that I'll get bored of the story. Lucas was a male witch who didn't know that ,until he goes out with his best friend Shawn and that night all hell breaks lose. Lucas, first of all, realizes that vampires exist, and now they're after him for his powers. He ends up running to a town where he feels safer and there he meets his mate, Bennett, the dragon beta shifter. Lucas and Bennett were so cute together and I loved how possessive and protective Bennett was of Lucas. Bennett lives in a family with many shifters and the mother is a witch who helps Lucas with his powers. Lucas was so sweet and very loving and respectful of everyone in town. They were just afraid that Lucas would protect everyone except himself if trouble starts with the vampires. This was so riveting and I couldn't put it down. There's even a weresnake, named Sage, who becomes friends with Lucas later in the story. I thought that this was nicely written, since it had me mesmerized throughout the story, and it progressed smoothly, which only makes me want to get the next book in the series. This was funny, action packed, and even sad at times, not to mention sexy, and so much more. I'm so interested in the other characters in the story, like Bennett's little brother, Laden. It would be nice to see him with a mate. He was such a sweetie pie, even the mother, and other members of his family. It's definitely a fascinating town. :) Phenomenal!

Very fun story, kept me hooked! I enjoyed the world and the characters. A witch who didn’t know he was one, chased by vampires who want to use his powers, finds his mate in a dragon shifter! Had found family, hurt/comfort, protective dragon mate, powerful witch, world building, and spice!

This was great start for awesome shifter series the Saint Lake. We get to meet a lot different shifters in this story that some you will fall in love with and some hate. Lucas is being hunted by a coven for powers that he does not truly understand what is going on. Lucas is running and was told he will know when he has found a safe haven for him. Bennett is Beta for his brother Ramsey. Bennett smell something while he is in town and that slowing is driving his dragon crazy. When his brother brings Lucas by his house for some work. He knows instance that this is the wonderful smell and his mate. What is Bennett to do when Lucas is scared of the things going on around him and afraid he will not be able to control his magic and hurt Bennett. The characters were well written that you are able to feel the love and friendship they have for each other with the family. The steamy connection that Lucas and Bennett have and Lucas keep fighting, the passion is off the charts. Hope to see more about the characters Sage, Gabriel, Angel, Jules and what happens with them and if they find their mates and happiness.

I feel like this might be a 3.75 star?

There were consistently places where the author was unclear as to who was speaking. The entire plot, while good, was almost too fast moving.

Definetely insta-love with 1 MC wanting to take it slow but then gets swept away by “instinct” and jumps in with both feet. I could have handled that if there had been some downtime to see the MC’s process their emotions but it was just on to the next thing though. You never got to feel like the MC’s ever got settled in their relationship.

    Dual POV

    No cheating

    Touch him and d!e/possesive

Heat level a 1.5-2 out if 5. Erotic fiction this is not. The smexy times were nice and decently described but nothing kinky. They did occur organically and didn’t try to take over the story line which was nice.

I did get irritated when after waking up from exhaustion the 2 MC’s almost started making g love but kept getting interrupted so they decided to stop. Literally with no segue they’re talking about being on the back patio. Stuff like that happened often enough it was annoying.

The magic WAS but this story was definetely not over 4 stars for the reasons stated above. Not sure if I’m going to read the next in the series.

Looking for shifter/human fated mates stories, I ran across and read “The Human Pyke”. I loved it, but quickly discovered it was further down in a series about Saint Lakes. So, I quickly purchased Book 1 and found it was just as good as the one I’d already read.

Lucas and Bennett’s story is an amazing read, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this universe in Book 2!

Lucas didn’t know that he was a male witch until his friend Shawn tried to give him to the vampires for his power. A cabbie got him out of town the wife told him to keep going until he felt safe in a town with many lakes plus she did a spell so he would know when a vampire was near. One of the guys he met took Lucas to his brother for a job and turns out they are mates. Had to be rescued as well as Shawn and Sage from the vampires. Good book!

I don't read shifters a lot but the blurb appealed to me instantly. And I'm certainly not disappointed! Action, love, humor and a little bit of hotness... The perfect recipe for a good book!

Great story and interesting characters. I really enjoyed the action at the end of the book. Looking forward to seeing how it continues in the next book. My only complaint was that there were a lot of little grammar mistakes that took me out of the story more than I'd like. Overall a great read.
