The story is enjoyable, but Jacy either needs to hire an editor or fire the one he has. There are lots of glaring issues in books 1-2 so far, sometimes takes you out of the story to try and interpret wtf he meant.

I'm always looking for new horror writers and I hit the jackpot with this one. His writing is on point, very few mistakes and you get invested in his characters. Of course when a favorite gets killed off it's upsetting, but the writing style is great. I have read 4 of his books already and am not disappointed. He has a style that keeps you reading.

I had purchased all three books in this trilogy. There were areas where the prose was not constant and some of the sentences themselves did not make sense. That is until you went back and switched a few words around or deleted one. Books 1 & 3 had page numbers while book #2 did not. Am I being too picky?

I don't know who proof-read this series, but they should have not been paid imho. i.e. in the first book a zombie actually asked if a procedure was safe! That is... until you realize the mess up and switched in another name. This occurrence (except talking zombies) happened throughout the entire trilogy.

Not a bad read. I did enjoy the story and actually started to care about several of the characters. As you read, you could see the character growth/change in several of them. The deep emotional turmoil in one of the characters was actually a bit unsettling (a good thing).

I would recommend this series but with a condition that you warn them of the grammar and missing page numbers from book #2. It's the little things the make or break a great author.

No Tufo but fun. Some of the characters become favorites while others are just annoying. Overall the storyline remains good, but I’m disappointed as some of the stronger characters die and weaker characters live. An occasional instance of this is one thing but it more the rule than the exception.

This is a must read series. Just finished books 1&2 back to back, already bought book 3. Excellent characters and storytelling. So far, this seems as real as it gets.

Jacy has done it again. I won't go long like the review I just wrote for the first in the series, but I will talk about what I liked.

Again, I love that no character seems to be safe. I love the suspense. I love the horror and the descriptions of the zombies. I love that the survivors seem to be struggling, even 2 weeks after it all started. Mostly because of being weakened due to malnutrition from spending a while with nothing but popcorn and sweets to eat in the beginning, but still...

The one thing I hope these guys have is auto insurance. They seem to have awful luck when it comes to vehicles.

And lastly...I love that details don't seem to be often forgotten. Rudy's asthma, Amanda's devotion to Rudy. Katie's killer instinct. Mort and Blake's obvious bromance. It all comes in so well to make the survivors a nicely-rounded group with their own problems but also willing to work with those that they're wary about or unsure will make it in this new and terrifying world.

I've read books 1 and 2 in short order and now just starting the third. Let's see what I'm in for.

Was looking for another zombie apocalypse book and glad I came across this series.
In my opinion the writer who I've never came across before has produced an excellent piece of work.
While we've probably all read other books in this genre not all of them draw you in to the authors world.
For me this series has drawn me in and produced tension in abundance. Characters are good and very diverse fear and desperation bringing them together as they struggle to survive.
Kudos to the author for a well written story and to add to the tension the author leaves you with no clue which or any of the characters will survive ,as in a reflection of the times they live in a seemingly important character can suddenly get caught out and fall to the apocalypse.
    Well done to the author.
